The hotel was great. The location is amazing, everything is near. We had our 11 month old baby with us, and they made everything so easy for us. They gave us a baby crib so our baby could sleep comfortable.
Everything was great, except the cleaning stuff didn’t change our sheets, but it wasn’t a big deal for us.

I stayed at Hotel Baron am Schottentor for two nights during my visit to Vienna and had a very pleasant experience. The room was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable, providing everything I needed for a short stay.
The location is excellent — very central and convenient for exploring the city, yet the surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, allowing for a good night’s sleep.
Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable stay. I would gladly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vienna and would consider staying here again.

That was our worst hotel experience. People travel to relax and enjoy but this hotel is not giving basic comfort at all.And when you dont take the basic need , it collapse your mood from the beginning. We stayed at double room , room 103 which is not as big as seen on pictures. It is hard to walk in the room. Well , the worst is the bed. Even you come to near it , it begins to shout! It was super uncomfortable and noisy , for two nights we couldnt sleep. The hotel is not cheap and also not giving the necessary comfort. Our room wasnt cleaned next day. I dont think it is required to ask cleaning help to take the trash. I dont recommend it.

Our bed for 2 people was two single beds pushed together and it was very hard to sleep because they were always moving. Not something i would expect to find in a 4 star hotel. Also, the water in the shower could either be cold or too hot the point of burning your skin.

It's an introverts dream with self-check in/out. But I'd you need to interact with the front desk, they are kind, professional and match your energy.
Please keep in mind that this is an historical building and the rooms do not have air-conditioning. This is our second stay, one in the winter and now at the end of spring, so it didn't affect us as much.

The location of the hotel was very good, around a 15/20 minute walk to a lot of the main attractions and a 5 minute walk to a metro/tram station. There are also a lot of restaurants and cafes around. The room was spacious with plenty of space to move around.
The lift to the hotel is up a set of stairs and not very well signposted, so carrying any heavy luggage can require effort. Our room specifically was inside what appears to be a breakfast area, albeit I don't think breakfast was ever served. There are no locks on the door from inside the room which left us feeling a little insecure. The shower door didn't open very wide and was a very tight squeeze to get into, ever for someone who is of medium build. The shower frame was also not very tall and for someone who is 6 foot this meant that water would splash over the top of the shower frame. The beds were okay, however the pillows provided basically had no padding to them so it felt like sleeping on just a pillow case. The beds were also just two single beds pushed together with single duvets. There was also no air conditioning in the rooms so during warm summer months this left the room very hot and uncomfortable. A fan was in the room but this just turbocharged the warm air. Overall not the best rooms and certainly did not provide a comfortable night's sleep.
