Really friendly staff. Very helpful! I loved the Quiz night. Really beautiful and modern hostel.
Its a giant industrial complex which can make it feel less social/less intimate. The size of the hostel I think slightly works against the premise of socialising. I personally think this hostel is better for groups then solo tourists. This isn't the fault of any staff member. Area outside is a playground for some drug addicts and scary people at night.

Staff was very nice, private room had actual blackout shades which I appreciated. Beds were comfortable and they had good activities. Location is very good, next to the train station with all the shops and food. IKEA store restaurant is accessible by walking down one flight of stairs.

Good capacity, two bathrooms for each dorm avoid the congestion.
Passionate and helpful staff, they answered me a bundle of questions which I've concerned about.
The temperature of the shower is not stable.
There is no curtain for the top bunk, which reduces the privacy and cannot block the lights.

The breakfast was good, though it would be even better with more daily variety. The hotel and room were spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellentβnavigating the city is easy since the hotel is right next to the station.
I would have appreciated more privacy in the bunk bed. The curtain/screen was only installed on one side of the bed, even though the curtain system was set up for both sides.

Location is brilliant, right next to OBB Westbahnhof, which means many kinds of stores and restaurants in the train station are just nearby. JO&JOE is also close to tram stops, subway station and bus lines, makes the easiest way to get to all the places in Vienna. From Westbahnhof to VIE airport or reverse, VAL 1 is a good choice too, though it's a little bit expensive than CAT. And it's not hard to find JO&JOE at all, right next to IKEA, they have own elevator.
The room is quite big, with solid floor, no worry to disturb others while walking in the room or when cleaning your own stuff. I stayed for three nights, at two types of the rooms, only female dormitory has the great view,whilst the mixed dormitory with inner window plants only. However, the top floor is also a great place for view watching, so if there's no view in the room, I reommend you to go up for it, just be aware of the opening time.
The public area is fantastic, just like stay in IKEA reastaurant, spacious and stylish, with so many tables and chairs so that you can always find a little corner for yourself. They also have different activities during the night(not sure if it's for every night), what I've seen was salsa night. You may find some cheer things while attending or even just watching by the side.
The breakfast is fantastic, too. With so many choices, oats, breads, fruits, salad, hams, eggs, milk, hot chocolate, coffee, tea, etc, I think it's the riches breakfast I've ever had from a hostel.
You have to do the bed on your own. :P
The sink is in the room, literally in the room, not inside the shower room. It's embarrassed for me to make noise in the very early moring while using it, cos I don't want to wake sleeping people up, so I usually go outside to the public toilet for cleaning. If you are easy to be awaken by noise, this might add into your consideration, not everyone would do the same like me.
The lugguage storage is not for free. It's fair, they mentioned that in advance, just not good for me. :P

The hotel doesnβt offer free luggage storage; you have to pay extra. Itβs the only place Iβve stayed that doesnβt provide this service, and the price isnβt cheap.
When I checked in during the day, the staff were very unfriendly and seemed indifferent.
The bed layout in the room was terrible β there was less than 10 cm between beds, and there were no curtains. Paying to share a room with strangers felt really unsafe and uncomfortable."different from photos.
