Very good value in the city centre. I travelled for work and this location was within 5 minutes of where I was working, also within minutes of good dining options and very close to Central train station.
There wasn't much to fault, some construction work going on but that wasn't a real problem

The only thing to like was the location
The bed was so uncomfortable, we booked 2 rooms - one the aircon smelt of mould and the second room smelt like sewage.
The smell came from the toilet in the bathroom.
I would compare it to a 1 star cheap hotel we have stayed at in Bali! What an absolute rip off we paid for this stay.
So disappointing- we will never stay at another Oaks hotel again

It was in a very convenient spot and just a two minute walk to where I had to attend a medical appointment.
There were plenty of options for food and coffee close by.
It was an enjoyable short walk to the river. We also enjoyed the old buildings, Cathedral Square and a couple of historic churches in the vacinity.
The view of the city lights from the balcony were pretty.
As we live rurally we did notice how noisy the city was during the night.
The air-conditioning system malfunctioned so it did get a bit hot in our room.

The location is convenient, the ambience is delightful, and the amenities are excellent. The staff's prompt responses to our requests were amazing and made our stay happy. I would highly recommend anyone for an enjoyable stay as mine was great.
Felt the second bedroom was a bit hot. Despite setting the thermostat to 22 degrees, it consistently showed 25 degrees, causing discomfort during the night and waking up sweating.

Warning that there would be drilling in the street and water cut off for almost 24 hrs straight PRIOR to payment and check-in would have been greatly appreciated - or even an offer of compensation of some sort... Not much sleep for 3-days solid of corporate meetings to attend - really not appreciated.

I wrote prior requesting early check in as we were attending a birthday. This was approved also with bed arrangements
Only to be told that they don't check anyone in early and we need to stay the night prior.
The front desk attendant was extremely rude. Assuming she was having a bad day.
Another guest came in and they checked her in straight away this was at 12.30pm
We were offer a room to get changed which were the pool toilets. It was extremely hot and very small.
At 1.15 after getting changed and handing the pool key over got told our room was ready.
Took our luggage up and by this time we're running late.
This was our first time staying at Oaks as we normally stay elsewhere.
Not sure if all Oaks are the same but we will not be staying at this one again

When I went, the lifts were getting renovated and the pool could have been deeper as it’s only 1.1m to 1.0m deep and even though it wasn’t the hotel’s fault there was construction happening on the street which was really loud throughout the night

The unit could have been cleaner! They asked that we clean and tidy before vacating but didn’t provide any cleaning products. When you pay $1200 plus for 4 nights you would expect there would be at least a proper dish cloth, not a paper dish cloth, cleaning products and powder for the dishwasher. There was not a hand towel provided in the bathrooms.

Great location! Staff were friendly and helpful. The rubbish bin hadn’t been emptied from previous guests, the fridge was leaking and shower door didn’t function properly, in the end it came off the hinges altogether. Otherwise the apartment was good, beds were comfortable.

The location and value for money were excellent. The apartment was very large and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.
The sofa was really uncomfortable. The kitchen would benefit from a few more utensils. Also it would be more helpful to have a recycle bin on each floor or at least in the ground floor as having to go down to basement and through gate etc when trying to check out was a pain. However all of these were minor.

Everything was excellent from start to finish! The room we stayed in had one of the best views and was extremely comfortable—we couldn't have asked for more. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive to all our requests, and they even allowed us to check in early as soon as the room became available, which we really appreciated.
We had a fantastic stay and felt very well taken care of throughout. Everything was just perfect—we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

I loved the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Loved the staff and their helpfulness. The facilities were great and enjoyed the street view too.
I did not like that their weren't sufficient dishwashing or laundry detergents. Also, there were no extra beddings like pillow and bedsheets for the extra roller bed. Only towel and bed were provided. Also there was very minimal cook and kitchen ware. No serving dishes or trays except pots, pans, plates, cups and spoons.
