This is a home away from home. The pool was great and the orientation is in the sun so it got warm enough to swim in by the afternoon. There were pool toys to use, sun lounges and bbq area. Every other place we stayed on our two week holiday had pools that were unheated and far too cold to get in. I know we visited in July but you do expect a swimmable pool. All it takes are a pool blanket and some solar panels.to take the edge off the chill . Our apartment was well stocked in the kitchen and we took advantage of the book and dvd library. The managers Edward and Leo were lovely. We would stay there again.
I would like to see solar heating for the pool to make it even better for winter visitors.

Excellent facilities such as comfy beds, effective air con, fans, washing machine and tumble dryer, covered park adjacent to apartment. Location wonderful- walking distance from town and marina and 5 minute walk to the beach! Helpful staff who gave useful advice on local activities.
We would have liked a plunger coffee maker but made do with the stovetop espresso maker. A minor point. I also prefer larger mugs but another minor point.

It’s a nicely sized apartment for longer term vacationers. The bed if comfy, the amenities are satisfactory including washing machine, kettle, microwave, hair dryer etc., I was especially happy with the washing machine.
I was there for a couple of nights’ stay and it is not a hotel but a longer term rental-ish. The rooms are not cleaned daily and you’re supposed to take your trash out etc. It is a 15-20 min walk away from the main street in port douglas and there are not too many restaurants / bars around.

It was a reasonably spacious apartment on the first floor with car parking below. Its location to the port, restaurants cafes and shops was good.
I felt the apartment wasn’t as well maintained as it should be with one kitchen light not working and one dining light flickering on and off all the time. There were also other minor problems.

We enjoyed the 25min stroll to Macrossan St and/or Harbourside. There is also a short cut to the beach nearby. DVD/book library near reception was a nice touch. Pool looked nice although we didn't use it.
Reception staff were great on check in but were only open as needed, rather than standard hours. We wanted to speak to someone on check-out at 9.30am but there was no one there.

We were warned that the apartment was unrenovated, but we were quite disappointed that my 87 year old father had to step over a very high ledge around the bath to access the shower. There was very noisy building work happening. For 3 of the 4 mornings that were stayed we were woken up well before 8pm by this noise.
We appreciate that maintenance needs to happen but if we had been told in advance or given some compensation it would have been appreciated.

We didn`t like the apartment we got. Too hot, balcony more of a landing coming up the steps. Edward kindly gave us another apartment.
Very recently renovated, everything we needed, quiet.
Nice pool, unfortunately no shade cloth. Water far to warm

Really needs an upgrade, only 1 key for the room which was hard as we were all out at different times.
Room smelt like chlorine the whole time. The rooms have lockable doors and no key to unlock them if a child happens to press the lock inside and then shut the door..
Bed was super uncomfortable felt we were sleeping springs with just a blanket thrown over the top.
The venue needs more parking space for rooms and if you want to use the pool facilities you have to pay an additional $3.00 each for a towel which should be free of charge with your room.

We loved our stay at Lychee Tree!
We stayed in what I guess is low-season and had the STUNNING pool and BBQ almost to ourselves most of the time. The apartment was very pretty and clean and well-organized. I loved this apartment and will recommend to all my friends!

Location was ok
The apartment was extremely dirty when we got there. Even the kitchenware that was in the cabinets had to be washed again because it wasn’t clean. We spent 3 nights sneezing because of the amount of dirt.
The WC was making loud noises during the night, it looked like the problem was in the water pressure.
This property had everything to be a lovely stay but it turned out to be stressful as we had to clean when we got there and it was hard to sleep because of the Wc noise.

Lovely pool. Quiet for our visit. Two bedrooms, very usable kitchen, own laundry facilities at reasonable rate. Good location - a short drive to town centre.
Could maybe do with some updating soon, just felt a little tired though not a problem - everything worked fine.

The apartment was well appointed and spacious. Kitchen facilities were available (eg cooking oil, t-towel, utensils). Individual air-conditioning units available in living area and bedrooms. Parking was onsite and easy. Access to the upstairs apartment was well-lit with sensor lights.
Was hoping for some washing powder for the washing machine.

Spotlessly clean apartment, in a great location. There is a fantastic Asian fusion restaurant just a minute walk around the corner called Bam Pow which serves a variety of Asian dishes.
The washing machine was really old, and there were a lack of power outlets for phone charging etc.

Everything but the midgets ?
People washing their hands, eating and jumping from the rocks into the swimming pool. Kids obstructing the water flow causing all debris accumulated on the rocks to go into the pool. With a bit of staff presence there, all those things can be prevented.

The pool was lovely, and the shower was fantastic! The shower is old and screen functional, but the best shower pressure I've ever experienced!
The car park is tight, the kitchen is small, and the beds hard, but the apartment is functional, and the shower pressure makes up for its flaws.

Holiday accommodation was excellent. Couple of service issues out of manager's control occurred during our stay. Earlier comms in relation to water off would have been better.

Great facilities, we spent alot of time around the pool and BBQ area. Room was clean and great for a family of 4. Kitchen stocked with all you need to cook while there. Not far from city centre. Lovely stay and would highly recommend.
Only downfall i could mention was that there is no sink at the BBQ are apart from that everything was great.

Clean facilities and the beds are good.
Nice touch to have some spices and emergency supplies. I think these items have been left behind from travellers and it's a good use to not discard them.
The feel of the place is a step up of camp ground cabins. It is convenient rather nice.

The apartment was clean and compact with an easy check in process. The pool and bbq facilities within the complex were great and the location was a 20 min flat/easy walk into the town with access to Four Mile Beach even closer. Leo was so helpful for recommending different places in the locality for day trips etc.
