We loved the warm welcome and generous and kind care we received from Em, we loved the location and the food was good too. Also loved the happy good morning we received each morning from the cleaner, what a hard working smiley fellow he is!
Nothing not to like really. The old man living upstairs probably could use a lesson in toilet hygiene!

Wifi would have been nice but not a deal breaker. And the showers pressure was quite low, again the rest of the accommodation was amazing!! And I would gladly stay again.

The place is in dire need of an upgrade. Furniture and carpets are old, soiled and dingy. it doesn’t help that the smell of stale beer fumigated the air from spills on the carpet. Also, I saw many roaches crawling in the bathrooms and in the communal tea bag jar.

The door to my room (Rm 2) was really hard to open from the inside. The shared shower drain was blocked so the bathtub filled up in the 3mins I spent in there.

Very, very tired - lounge chairs where old, tired looking with ripped upholstery. Every door squeeked. The room was really clean but felt like it was dirty because of the deterioration.

The shared bathroom was dirty, scummy sink, clogged drain in the shower/bath which was also grimy all over - expected more for 180 per night. The room was fine, a bit loud with trains outside but you have to expect that. Never got given a wifi password

Honestly the worst location I’ve ever stayed in. I had the great displeasure of having two nights accommodation when I needed a room in the area.
Rooms were dirty and furniture damaged. Bed linen were stained. Bathroom windows are literally non existent. Not even a fly screen or privacy curtain - anyone can see in or out. Bathroom and toilets were foul. Contacted Booking.com as I had serious concerns about my stay and my safety with no response. I literally sat in the room wide awake for two nights because I had no where else to stay and was not comfortable in this accommodation.
Staff were unhelpful. No details about anything besides showing me my room. No check out details. Luckily a cleaner was around to take my key as soon as I could leave - otherwise who knows what I would have done.
For $180(!!!!!) a night, a hostel would have been leaps and bounds above what is ‘offered’ here.

Very Deco and rustic. Great bones, great location and bed was comfy. Great food and beer! Staff were friendly, and did I mention my steak was perfect?
Over all clean, maybe the bathroom could do with a better cleaning under the wooden grates. There's a few stairs to room. 2 toilets, one bathroom which is shower over bath. Air-conditioning in room. Kettle outside room. No fridge.

I booked a room here at the very last minute after my flight was cancelled, so the fact that they were able to accommodate me at all was great! The price was very reasonable for such short notice and it was about 15-20 minutes away from the airport by taxi. The room I stayed in was very spacious and had a Victorian feel to it, much like the rest of the hotel. I had problems initially paying with my foreign card but the staff were persistently helpful and eventually managed to sort it for me. The venue is mainly a bar/pub with bedrooms above, which is nice since you can relax and get something to drink when you arrive; and although I was worried that it would be noisy with a bar underneath, the bedrooms are actually very quiet.
I have to warn any travellers coming in from overseas that the power sockets in the room are too low to the ground to accommodate a travel adaptor - I had to take mine to the tea/coffee station in the corridor and unplug the kettle to charge my phone. I think the bathrooms could be a lot cleaner, but everything in them worked.

Amazing location only around 800m away from central station and close to the stadium I was attending. Check in at 1pm which is so convenient, friendly and fast staff check in was so smooth. There’s one bathroom and two shared toilets, the bed is new and comfortable and rooms at airconed.
Can we quite loud for anyone intending to go to bed early as there is a pub on the bottom floor that’s open to 12am and the furniture is quite dated and old (apart from the bed) but that’s all shown in the photos.
