Location was just a 10 minute walk from a bus stop and adjacent good breakfast cafe, Tattie's. The exterior of the hotel is very charming but it is naturally very dark inside, as it is an old and indeed listed mediaeval building. However there is a small rather good lounge with small tables in the interior where we spent a spare evening hour or two, as there was not enough space inside our bedroom for writing or even reading, unless in bed.

Hotel Ter Brughe is a charming and picturesque hotel with a prime location along the canal in Bruges. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the room was beautifully appointed with lovely views of the water. Our stay here was simply delightful and made our visit to Bruges unforgettable. Highly recommended!

Super hotel, quite location but only 10 minutes walk to the main square. Staff were great, breakfast was lovely and they had a small 24 hour bar which was a bonus. If we ever go back we would definitely staff there.

Hotel Ter Bruges is located in a quiet oasis, near the heart of Bruges. It is a treasure because of the magic of the building but also the kind, caring professional staff. Our room was located on the top floor and although it was quite a climb it was worth it. The room was cozy and extremely comfortable. The Breakfast is a treat with fresh baked pastries and eggs and bacon. Each day after exploring Bruges we returned to the8 hotel and enjoyed a good drink in the garden connected to a small lounge.
We chose to stay in a 500 year old building so it seems silly to say I didn't like the lack of an elevator but it is worth noting if you have mobility issues.

IT is a great place to experience Brugge. The real gem of the place are the people working there! They were so welcoming, ready to give advice where to go and what to do with children - we felt that at last we have found a true Belgian hospitality! And the atmosphere of an old building reminds a bit of a fairy tale!
We are light packers, but if you are an adept of a heavy luggage - behold, the building is truly old and has no elevator.

Hotel is in a beautifilly quiet location, well worth the short walk to and from the centre, to escape the thousands of tourists. This was our second choice and we were delightesd the first, grander hotel in the ciry centre fell through. Room was clean and comfortable.
Breakfast was a well stocked buffet. A few (British, traditional) items missing such as mushrooms / tomatoes but plenty of unlimited food. No staff were present at breakfast.
Communal areas could be improved maybe - but there is nothing actually wrong with any of it, it just isn't super smart and that may be part of its charm.
Small garden was unexpected but needs someone to remove astro turf and make it into a proper courtyard with tons of plants in pots and small borders - could be a real oasis.

Loved everything about this property. The history the charm, rooms were quaint and comfortable. This place is truly special. The location just a short stroll into all the main sights. But a little more residential and quiet area. Absolutely amazing stay.
The only thing that let this a amazing place down. Was the breakfast. It was €80 for the four of us for one morning. But the hot items were served in pots but were cold and soggy, and the fruit wasn’t cut fresh. The meats and cheeses and a few other items were good. I just felt for that price the hot items were such a disappointment. I think I would have preferred to go to the square to a cafe and order a dish.

This place was impeccable. The location is close enough to have easy walking access to the town center but far enough to avoid the big crowds. The room itself was very nice and comfortable. The room had everything we wanted and more. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was quite spacious.
We could not find a fault with this place.

It was perfect! The staff were great! Breakfast amazing and I loved the small details like the candy on the bed and they even gave me some traditional cookies when I left!

Great location next to the canals walking distance of the historical center, friendly staff, breakfast was buffet and had everything you need. Nice inner garden to relax after walking through the city. Second time I stayed here when I visited Bruges. Will come back.
