We really enjoyed the spa. 4 sauna, 1 steam, 1 ice room, indoor heated jacuzzi and pool, and same outdoor.
The piano bar was also very good experience. The singers Doni and Eli were very professional and good singers and made great party.
Our room smelled like ashtray. We opened windows for two days and nothing. This was definitely not acceptable.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Kempinski Hotel in Bansko, and while most of the experience was exceptional, there were a couple of things worth noting.
First, the breakfast was outstanding—easily a 10/10. The egg station was a standout, with fresh and perfectly prepared dishes each morning. The variety and quality were excellent.
We were served by Darko during dinner, and he was truly exceptional. His wine recommendations were spot-on, and he made our dining experience special. Props to him for his impeccable service.
The reception was welcoming and efficient, and the pool area was fantastic—well-maintained and the perfect spot to relax.
However, one thing that bothered us was the lack of enforcement of the restaurant’s dress code. While there is a policy in place, we noticed people dining in shorts, and worse, some were even blowing their noses at the tables, but everything else was exceptional.

All staff in reception, spa, restaurants, and other areas were respectful, welcoming, and very helpful. The housekeeping team responded quickly to phone requests and efficiently fulfilled my needs. The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the New Year party and dinner em were exceptional.
During my stay, I noticed several issues with the room cleaning. On multiple days, the room was not properly cleaned, robes were not replaced, the floor wasn’t hoovered, and the bed sheets were wrinkled. Additionally, a used cup was left on the table. After bringing this to the attention of the reception, housekeeping addressed the issues.
On my final day, I was unaware of some hotel facility, like the piano room and outdoor bar/cafe, which I believe should have been pointed out during check in. For a five star hotel, I expected more consistent cleaning and a better communication about available services.

receptionists. Please keep the photos confidential and do not share them in your website for public.

Not new, but a very cozy and beautiful chalet-style hotel. The staff is exceptionally professional, and the rooms are very spacious. The bathrooms are roomy and equipped with everything you need. Bed linens, towels, and bathrobes are changed daily.
Special mention goes to the SPA area: a large pool, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, as well as a variety of baths, saunas, a hammam, and ice rooms.
Tasty but repetitive breakfast. The same goes for the New Year's celebration at the restaurant — the selection was limited, the overhead lights were on, and the atmosphere felt a bit lacking. It's a small thing, but still worth mentioning.

Beautiful!! You can see the ski tracks from your room. lol. Perfect location next to the gondola. The hotel is super clean and housekeeping was twice a day! Lobby very inviting, spa so nice!!I did not use the sauna but the outdoor jacuzzi was wonderful. Good and tasty breakfast- the waiters were so nice.
Nothing really. The spa treatments could have been cheaper. The receptionist should be more informed regarding attractions in the area. They recommended going to the “Pulse Therme” in Banya. Great offer, we enjoyed the day, but the hotel recommended a taxi (30leba) when in fact the place has a free shuttle.

A spectacular location and we were able to ski directly to the door of the boot room. Huge choice at breakfast and laid out really nicely on the buffet, with the choice of breakfast served to you at the table. Rooms are lovely and spacious and the bathrooms were roomy too, with a separate shower and jacuzzi bath.
Real milk in the fridge in the room would have been a bonus, but only if I am being picky.

Breakfast was good, a wide choice and well prepared. The restaurant was busy but staff were helpful. Comfortable hotel in a great location for the lift, with a really nice spa facility. There is a great ski in/out ski storage facility where the staff store your skis for you and store your boots on boot warm/drying machines. Lift passes in the hotel are more expensive but they offer fast track to skip the lift queue. Reception staff were very helpful. There is a great Italian restaurant right across the road with a wide selection of excellent quality dishes and freindly service (book beforehand, it gets full)
They need to ban people from taking phones in to the pool and spa area, there were too many people taking pictures, videos where everyone (including kids) are in their swimming gear, and people making calls in the spa, which should be a relaxing peaceful area.

The really amazing spa facilities with the heated pools, jacousies and indoor saunas and relaxation chambers.
The grape fruit and orange juice DIY in the breakfast,
the staff were nice.
The list is quite long and we don't want to sound petty. But for the price we paid and for the Kempinski brand we expected a very high standard that wasn't met.
The room was small and the walls were very thin, we had to change rooms because of our neighbors talking. The other room had the same issue.
The breakfast coffee wasn't good at all, they don't really know how to make cappuccino.
The pancakes in the breakfast buffet were dry and full of oil (when you actually pay for a chocolate pancake in the bar - they can make it perfectly so it's not lack of skill).
The Eggs Benedict didn't have any real holondaise sauce and the egg was way too soft.
We ate at an hotel restaurant (the sushi bar) and asked for tap water. We were at the end charged 15 BGN(7.7 eur) for 750ml bottled water.
We were charged for parking at the hotel although no one told us it wasn't free at any stage.
At any rate the small details bothered: soft vegetables on breakfast, uncomfortable mattress and pillows, oldly equipped room (not enough electricity sockets, small and not smart TV, etc.)

Half board- it is common to serve water (not mineral) but at Kempinski they do not so you have to pay even for water so yo paid for hslf board but you need to pay more.
Room bath- it is of a 3 star hotel level. You have both bath and a shower but the shower is not big and the shower head is fixed, small and with a low water stream power. So I moved to the bath which is narrow, half open (water flush the floor) and low water stream power.
Not to the level you expect Kempinski.
Lobby bar prices are extremely high.10 Euro for a capucino in Bulgaria...

The hotel would certainly not be described as modern - the decor, furnishings, everything - is old and heavy in style, but not in a bad way. Lots of wood, dark carpets etc. The feeling is perhaps of old charm.
The rooms are large'ish - huge comfy bed, large super heated bathroom with both shower and bath. Luxurious hot water. Thermostat in the room works perfectly - you can be as warm as you like. Our (standard) room had a large balcony facing the slope & mountains. Beautiful view when the fog lifts.
The spa services within the hotel are fantastic - a large indoor pool, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzi and a good sized outdoor pool - where you can swim in hot water with the snow all around. A delightful experience!
The location is second to none - for skiing in Bansko it can't be beat. It is right across from the Gondola - 30-40 meters walk in the snow from the ski shop rental within the hotel where you exit directly to the snow.
Hotel restaurants are supposed to be very good but expensive. We did not book the full board option but sampled the local restaurants - there's plenty of great options to choose from in walking distance.
As a tip I would suggest - rent your ski equipment in the hotel (the convenience is more than worth it) but buy your ski pass at the gondola. The hotel is happy to sell you the lift tickets with your equipment but they charge a premium of about 20 euro a day per person.

Hotel staff are pleasant and helpful - overall a great experience.
The following are minor issues that could be improved.
Not enough electrical outlets in the room. Although there is an outlet on each bedside, with multiple items to charge that's not enough. An outlet is especially lacking at the (long and convenient) desk. I imagine I'm not the only person who wanted to plug in their laptop (I had to unplug the TV).
Also - if there was a way to get Netflix on the (large flatscreen) TV - I didn't find it. This day and age I find it surprising when hotels do not provide built in access to streaming services. Allow folks to connect their own account & wipe it when they leave.
