I was very pleased with the facilities in the hotel, because since there was no snow we spent most of the time in the hotel. Very good value for the money we payed. A special thanks to the restaurant manager! The lady exceeded my expectations. She arranged gluten free meals for my daughter the whole stay. She took the matter very seriously and she was very friendly and understanting.

It was not a "all inclusive" stay because all the food and snaks were exclusively in the restaurant, and when it comes to drinks there was only beer and wine outside the restaurant. We had to pay for bottled water, which is not very pleasant.

good location not far from town easy to walk to places but also with free shuttle to the gondola. spa is AMAZING pools heated both inside and outside, sauna and steam rooms plus more in the adult only area. spa prices reasonable too. food lovely and staff really helpful! get a massage from Annie she is awesome and will get those knots out! Leman on reception also big thank you! thank you thank you xxxx

could not find black tea at breakfast only herbal tea. could do with some more board games etc but that’s just my preference, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

During the hotel stay, the meals were really great; each one was delicious and meticulously prepared. The pool and spa area were fantastic. If you have children, they won't get bored at all. A great hotel for both families and couples. The staff are helpful in every way. The hotel location is fantastic. The rooms are clean and newly decorated. The best hotel in Bansko in my opinion. I will go to this hotel again next year. I thank the manager and staff of SPA Resort St. Ivan Rilski for everything. See you again! I'd like to extend special thanks to the hotel manager.

We liked everything. The hotel is perfect for family with kids. Food was great, staff were nice and friendly and the apartment was spacious and clean. There is kids club which is super convenient and the swimming pool is suitable for children. The guys in the ski rent place located in the hotel were also super nice and friendly. It's the third time we visit this hotel and we will definitely come back. Great Bloody Mary and live music at the lobby.

We loved the hotel, it was above our expectations. I shared a studio room with 13 yr old twins and it had a kitchenette which was useful to come back from skiing and make a hot drink. My girls were amazed to have daily room service (made them be tidier as they were embarrassed to let anyone see how messy they are!). My son and his father had a separate studio (studios were outside the main hotel building). The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and sorted out any issues very quickly. The food was great and really suited my family - plentiful, varied and lots of choice (could do with a few more vegetarian main courses) and tasty food, just what you need after skiing, with a good breakfast beforehand. Apart for the selection of main courses there was always a huge salad and fruit selection. The spa is fantastic, so lovely to come back to a pool (indoor and out) with massage jets, hot tub and a choice of saunas, steam rooms and hot beds. There is a great gym too that my son enjoyed. If you are all inclusive then the spa and gym is included. The hotel communal areas are very attractive and spacious and great to relax in after dinner. There was often a musician or singer at dinner or in the bar afterwards. The hotel runs a complementary shuttle bus to the the gondola but we walked most days as wanted to get to gondola early and its only about 15 mins walk. You can keep skis in hotel ski store but we left ours at the ski hire shop so we were free to walk back if we wanted. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely stay at the St Ivan Rilski again!

Sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The communal lounge areas were a bit too warm for us in the evening. Can't think of anything else - it was great!

The food was excellent - a variety of meat, garnishes, vegetables, fruits, desserts. The room was a decent one, clean and comfortable. The lobby bar was also nice. Good location, very nice staff.

The disappointment was the SPA: 1) there was no separation between pools for adults only and pools for children and their parents (the kids were screaming, playing inside the pool, running - simply destroying the relaxation of the adults) and even they were throwing the plastic drinking cups into the pool and some of the parents were throwing balls inside the pool and they were splashing water on our faces and the lifeguards DID nothing about this. I had the feeling that I was in some kindergarten hotel and this was not acceptable for me. I have been to this hotel three years ago and it was nothing like this!!! 2) the saunas and the steam baths didn't have any wooden buckets for water to pour over the hot stones (some of the heaters were not covered with stones, as they had to be, which was an extreme hazard of burning), there were no refreshments next to the saunas (they were upstairs instead, imagine to climb 30 steps with accelerated heart beat after 30-minute session in the sauna to take a cup of water), there was no ice-cold fountain or simply a bucket with crushed ice at all, there was no soap in the showers (in order to wash yourself from the chlorinated pool water or the sweat after the usage of the saunas); 3) the lifeguards were not next to the pool paying attention to the guests inside it (instead they used to be bar tenders, receptionists, and any missing staff simultaneously); 4) there had to be a warning sign in place forbiding leaving belongings on top of the sun bath just to occupy them when the persons were not there but in the pool or elsewhere. The management ought to think about how to improve the quality and the overall experience for their guests (not to argue with the guests when they were giving their constructive feedback upon the negatives).

The delux room was of great size for 2 adults and 2 kids, the children had plenty of space to play around. The bathroom was really big and the bath products were of great quality. Really tasty food, not too many options, just enough, good quality. Great coffee- Costa and Lavazza. Always fresh fruits! A lot of baby food options. Good size pools- both indoor and outdoor. There was an incident with elevator and the management made it up to us with a great gesture, which we were really thankful for. Good customer service!

The tiles in the indoor pools have cutting edges-this need to be changed, both my kids got scraped while playing. The access to the restaurant terrace is unlimited and guests staying late really disturb the others that want to rest.

The staff are exceptionally polite, helpful, and organized. Location wise it is great, provided you have a car. There are plenty of beautiful mountain trails to explore starting within .10 min walk from the hotel. Not to mention the close proximity to the gondola, which takes you up to Banderishka meadow. The indoor pool is great, with the only complaint that the way it is designed prevents guests who enjoy swimming to actually swim in it. It is more suitable for leisurely soak, than to be enjoyed as a swimming pool. The outdoor pool is small, but warm and clean. Food: Very tasty, abundance of fruit and salads. Kids entertainment: The young boy, in charge of entertaining the children was going consistently above and beyond to provide fun and safe games for a very large group of children. He had use of very limited equipment and toys selection, but nevertheless managed to keep the kids enchanted for prolonged periods if time. Purely because of his natural talent and friendliness. It is really nice touch that there is juice provided for the kids at playtime.

The parking area is naturally enjoyed by all children as an outdoor space (since it is adjacent to the restaurant). It could be repurposed as a garden and place to relax, leading into the reception area. At the moment, it is mostly taken by parked cars, with the kids bicycles also stored there, which is not a great combination as any parent could imagine. Children run outside to play and ride the bikes, amongst guests arriving or leaving from the parking area. It doesn't seem like a safe and clever solution and the best use of that space. And room wise: we did experience an unpleasant smell, coming out of the bathroom sink, toilet and drain. Unfortunately the only solution was to move rooms. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and promptly arranged for a replacement, no issues there. We moved within 10 minutes of raising the issue. Food: Very, very tasty. Especially the meat and vegetables. I can imagine how some of the well travelled guests can see the menu as being somewhat repetitive, for example there was fish nearly every day and it was prepared nearly the same way. There was limited choice for picky kids, pasta, as you can imagine, but with the same white sauce on most days, and the same steamed vegetables. Nevertheless, we did enjoy the food and our child had no complaints either. Kids entertainment: The hotel should provide better and more varied equipment for the animators to use l when there are organized games for the children, both during pool time and in the play area. Seems illogical for a hotel of this scale to have a single climbing frame with damaged areas, no kids library, no toys or art supplies, no board games, except chess. The animators were so engaged and dedicated, they kept the kids happy with literally next to zero physical toys.

Really a pleasent surprise to find such a nice hotel and great reception staff, all speaking good english, ready to help you. I arrived late in the night, around 2:30 am and they were waiting for me with a sandwiches, fruits and water.

Acytually, I dont have anything to comment. Or maybe there would be something: the spa is too crowded, but I guess thats a sign that the hotel is good :)

Everything was great for our stay. The room was big and warm with all the facilities needed. For the breakfast&dinner we had good diversity and the food was fresh each day. The Spa area is big enough and we had a great experience to relax after a full day on the slopes. The hotel provides bus shuttle to the slopes every 15 mins so even though is about 15 minutes walking from the ski lift, the hotel still offers the shuttle option for free.

We booked it for a ski trip with friends and it was the best choice! I celebrated my birthday and they waited me with champagne, plus an extra bottle of wine. I really appreciated this! The food is delicious and there are plently of choices, the room was clean and very spacious, the staff very friendly. They have an amazing spa. During the day or after dinner we spent time together at the lounge and lobby and we really felt cozy. I totally recommend it for couples or group of friends and I would definitey come back!❤️

We had a fantastic stay! The food was truly world-class — it was great to have access to snacks and drinks throughout the day, especially with kids. We stayed in a villa, which was spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. Even though it was located outside the main hotel building, it was still very convenient. Getting to the spa and pool was easy, and we really appreciated the changing rooms with hair dryers — a thoughtful touch that made things more comfortable. Overall, a wonderful experience for families!

The pool was a bit small and quite shallow — more suited for playing with kids than for actual swimming. While that’s still enjoyable, it would have been nice to have a deeper section for adults. Also, the kids’ animation team didn’t collect parents’ phone numbers, which made it a bit stressful to leave the children, as there was no easy way for them to contact us if needed. A simple communication system would make a big difference in peace of mind for parents.

A lovely and fun hotel with a very nice spa area, including an outdoor jacuzzi and a heated pool. Our room had a mountain view and a small balcony. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly — they upgraded us to full board and even extended our checkout by three hours. We really enjoyed the hotel, the food, and the spa.

Points for improvement: there was no Netflix available in the rooms, not even the option to connect through a mobile device. The outdoor jacuzzi was cold during the day, which was a bit disappointing.

The staff were amazing and extremely helpful and cooperative, mainly the people at the reception and in the restaurant. Ski rentals are available. The location is less than a 10-minute walk from the city center, and the shuttle bus to the slopes Gondola was punctual.

Food was tasty and with good variety, staff was friendly, spa facilities were clean and of good quality, lobby bar was well stacked and at reasonable prices, it's really nice they offer to park your car.

Just a small note that the elevator behaved weirdly and sometimes you need to wait 10-15 mins when there's a lot of people. Not sure if the second elevator was malfunctioning or intentionally not usable. But overall not a big problem.
