Such a comfortable and huge room! Had a perfectly working much-needed AC unit, also a balcony to relax. Bed was very comfortable, and finally a room with tables/shelves to store odds and ends.
Breakfast was ok, not overwhelming; buffet style on weekends, pick-your-choice-out-of-three-options on weekdays. Expect coffee, toast, basic spreads/jam, olives, cheese, some yoghurt & cereals. It was good that not too much was presented to avoid throwing away leftovers, but the quality of some items could be improved.
Everyone of the staff was very helpful and friendly despite my personal lack of Bulgarian language skills. ΠΠ»Π°Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π°ΡΡ, again.
Very close to metro/bus lines, and to some 24hours-mini markets (whose fruit/veggie selection I would definitely not recommend, but okay for some soft drinks or prepackaged snacks.) Very easy to reach the city center and airport via public transport. Would absolutely stay there again.

Breakfast opens at 7.30am weekdays but not all the Breakfast food was available until around 8am - it would be better if all items are available from 07.30am (i.e. esp bacon, sausages etc) and cover all food as there were small flies floating in the orange juice and around the fresh fruit, so covers on all items would be more hygienic and make food safer to eat for visitors. Also there should be an option for decaffeinated coffee, even if its just sachets and if a customer asks for a cappuccino for Breakfast they should not have to pay extra for this (we were shocked to see a price if we requested a cappuccino - Breakfast has been paid for and customers who have already paid should be able to get a cappuccino with no extra charge).
It would also be advisable to ensure when getting the room ready for new visitors, that the television is checked to make sure it is working as ours was not working, we could not get any channels, so we could not use the television at all.
Also, only one pair of white towel slippers were in the room, when there are two of us and there were no bath robes (as was in the description).
Finally, a supply of milk powder sachets and a complementary bottle of water would be good too as some people are not able to use kettle with tap water, needs bottled water so can either drink water or use kettle with bottled water.

Its a nice family hotel, room furniture was really good quality. Under certain circumstances, could be easily graded as 4 star hotel.
Its just a note, there is no breakfast, but for me its not a problem. Also, there is a time frame in which you need to show up, I'm not sure what it would be if you show outside of the reception time.

For two people, they provide tiny tubes of shower gel and shampoo, and only one roll of toilet paper for two days and two people. Thereβs no space in the bathroom to place your personal products. I think this place is strictly meant for weekend stays, nothing more.
A big downside, and I believe this is common in Bulgaria, is the parking. Thereβs parking in front of the hotel with a barrier, and it says it costs 5 leva per day. However, when you go to the person in charge to pay the 5 leva, they tell you to pay at the hotel, where they charge 20 leva per day. They even charged us for the last day, even though we left in the morning and informed them about it.
It feels like, due to the poverty there, people try to squeeze every penny out of you if they can.
As for the room, cleanliness could be improved. When you opened the windows, dirt would fall off them.
Otherwise, we were lucky to catch some snow and had a good time because, without it, thereβs not much to do in the city.

I picked this hotel because it is on the same road on which I grew up on. I wanted to show my partner my old neighbourhood and of course, being so central the location was fantastic along with the price for our stay. The hotel staff were incredible. We met maybe, 4 - 6 different people who worked throughout our stay, they were very helpful and accomodating in all our needs or questions. I absolutely loved the size of the room, the facilities and the amenities such as toiletries, slippers and bathrobes. I have nothing wrong to say about the staff, the room or the hotel itself. I would and will stay here again and recommend it for anyone who wants to stay in Sofia.

Central location. The room was big enough, with sofa, balcony, comfortable bed.
The bar downstairs could be open more early. It opens at 8:30 which is not early enough for people who wake up early and want to take coffee.

Very stylish, especially the bar area. Perfect location, close to everything (metro, shopping mall), but also in a quiet neighbourhood. Thumbs up!
The bar was not staffed most of the time. There is a restaurant right near the hotel, it was closed for renovation, but I imagine that the hotel may become more noisy when it opens.

Overall, the hotel is nicely decorated and has potential, but the service level does not match what is presented on Booking.com. My expectations were shaped by the listing, and unfortunately they were not met.
I booked a large room (around 30 mΒ²) with a sofa, but upon arrival I was given a much smaller room, no more than 20 mΒ², with only a bed. The hotel appeared almost empty, yet I was told that the larger rooms were occupied, which did not match the situation on site.
Another issue was the service. Breakfast was not provided, although I distinctly remember booking a rate that included it. This was neither clarified nor compensated.
In addition, there was a visible water leakage near the heater by the window. I reported it, but the issue was ignored and not addressed during my stay.

The location is ok if you are going to a show in the cultural palace.
Old hotel, smells funny and not very clean.
