The location of the hotel is great, It is close to shops and restaurants.
We had our car broken into in "their" parking garage, window smashed. They made minimal effort to help us with our damaged car. The manager NEVER reached out to us to see what he could do to help us. He never personally spoke to us. They charge 35 dollars a night for parking, but it's really a public parking garage, with no security on the weekends. It's not even valet parking. The hotel said that they wouldn't charge us for parking, gee thanks.

Very Comfortable, enough room for three adults (two queen beds and a pull out couch). Also very happy that the window opened letting in fresh air.
The street noise was a bit much. It sounded as though there was car racing going on in the middle of the night. But that's to be expected in a city, I guess.

Mezzanine: The breakfast area was cramped, the flow of people was not well-managed and the choice of foods was limited (as a European it did not measure up to European hotel offerrings)
Bathroom: damp damage to ceiling. Needed a new coat of paint
Bedroom: layout strange, no hooks for coats at entrance, no place for shoes
Pool: Pretty disgusting. Like a single layer of blue paint on cement which shows through. HOT water (so it's more a thermal bath than a pool).

Breakfast was great, the main foods changed every day (sausage, waffles, etc) and the croissants were fresh! Location was excellent. Check-in and out was easy.
Our heater unit was noisy, it would make a rattling noise every now and then. It definitely woke us up several times a night. Room 117.

Rooms definitely dated and in need of an update. Wall paper peeling off the walls, paint coming off doors, heating system/fan was too loud to leave on while sleeping. Early morning (before 6am) street noise, maybe a garbage truck, was right outside our window for at least an hour.

The location in Old Montreal was fantastic. All major tourist sites an easy walk away - e.g. Grand Roue and the Notre Dame replica. The old cobbled streets and shops were delightful and filled with tourist shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, all within 5-10 mins walk from the hotel. The hotel itself is situated on a quiet street so no heavy traffic or noise. Breakfast was fabulous with such a great variety of food to choose from. We were able to check in 2 hours early and on check out, we were able store our bags (at no cost) and could either wait in the lobby - which had plenty of comfortable seating and sofas, or wander around as we liked. Staff were fantastic - we just loved the hotel.

My kids loved the Croissants at the breakfast. It was great that we could get adjoining rooms since they didn't have a room big enough for 5 people. The parking was also great.
The pool was great but it is small so if a lot of kids are staying at the hotel there is not much room in the pool.

I had booked a wheelchair accessible room, but instead of a shower, there was a bath that had no chair to sit on (too narrow as well), so I wasn't able to shower. As well, we chose this hotel because it had a nice restaurant, just in case, I wouldn't be able to go on the sidewalks around the corner to the restaurant, which is what happened. However, the hotel restaurant was closed, and nothing was said on the website or during the booking about that.

Needed assistance/ advice from desk staff when our car battery died. Other than a desultory Googling of a non-existent auto parts store, they offered no help, and actually seemed uninterested in our problem. We eventually figured out that Montreal taxi services offer jump-starts, but one would think local hotel staff would know this already, rather than just sending us on a time-wasting wild goose chase.

The pool! Leave much to be desired. Also - there were no towels and I asked for some to be delivered and they never were so we ending up sharing one between 3 of us.

The pool was closed which I did not know about when I booked and I purposely booked a room with a balcony which I ended up not having access to. I don’t like that I paid more for a balcony and did not have access. They should not advertise a balcony room during winter months if they aren’t accessible.

The turkey sausage was delicious! The egg and cheese omelet was very good. the oatmeal and fixings were very nice. the croissants and bagels were fresh and I liked the fresh spinach. I also liked the little cartons of milk.
