Decent rooms. Pretty quiet.

The person who checked us in was indifferent- not out rightly rude but also not pleasant. Parking overnight rate is ~$60. Like getting a room for your car, jeez! Breakfast was chaos. One person managing hundreds of people- no milk, just pancakes, black coffee and toast. No protein either.

The property is within a 5 min walk to Barri Uqum subway station. I felt very safe travelling with my two young boys in this area. We took the subway everywhere until late in the evening and I never once felt uneasy. Our room was big enough, clean , bathroom was beautiful and bed was comfortable. All in all we had a great stay but for comments sake I did post some dislikes.

There is only one elevator in the hotel. Always a big line. Normally I’d take the stairs but breakfast is on the first floor and our room was on the 7th. It’s two hotels in one. Lelux and empire suites. It’s very confusing. The front desk staff weren’t very helpful. I had to ask 4 times after calling twice for bedding for the pull out couch. I called down for extra shampoo and towels and they never arrived either even after I sent my sons down to the desk to get it. The vending machines both don’t work on site so stop and get snacks before you get to hotel. The lobby is dark and “modern” I guess. Even in the middle of the day it was dark and gloomy. Tv in the room didn’t really work. Cable coming in was very staticky and it was only a 24” tv mounted on a giant wall. But we weren’t here to watch much tv but watching local news in the evening would have been nice. Breakfast was good except the poor workers were run off their feet. There didn’t seem to be any policing. People taking 5-8 croissants that were just put out and hoarding them on their tables. Same with pancakes. There was never enough at any time. Always waiting. But when you did get your food it was good. Not enough cutlery ever. And it was a weird system, for dirty dishes. Just leave them on your table or on a large island. Just mountains of paper plates and cups and real cutlery. I have to say that’s a first.

When you walk into the hotel, the front desk and entrance were beautiful. Don’t let it fool you.

The rooms were horrendous. There was absolutely no A/C in the suite and the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. We rented 2 rooms, the second room the beds were completely bowed. When we confronted the front desk for our money back they stated nothing was wrong with the rooms. They refunded us 1/2 rooms. They were very rude once we asked for our money back. We also received a confirmation email stating that the rooms were ready and we could check in at 1pm. We arrived at 1:30 and they informed us that housekeeping was behind and we couldn’t check in until 4:30-5pm which was later than what regular check in was supposed to be. We would never EVER stay here again. In their booking ad they should also state that the building right around them is a homeless encampment. The people were hunched over high on drugs and would yell at you as you walked past. An absolute disappointment of a hotel.

The location was accessible by car and public transportation. The room was big enough for two people. The A/C unit was functioning adequately.

The sofa bed was not set up prior to us checking-in, and the mattress is a bit old, which made it difficult to sleep. The elevator was not functioning effectively either (skipping and/or delaying).

Location ! Price !

Registration - offered my confirmation # but lady at the desk only wanted ID - she was at the computer searching - then took my drive s lisc - left the area w it and went to another room - I called out - twice to pls come back w my id - she eventually did and told me it was “OK” . I told her she cannot take my ID out of my view . I am very concerned about this - required a deposit that would not accept debit card so I had to use credit and had to use a pin as tap would not work - I felt the entire process of setting me up for identity fraud. I barely slept a wink all night - locked down all of my cards etc

Initally we were delighted with complimentary breakfast option but lets just say complimentary breakfast is best skipped.

Only one person serving breakfast in a room full of people, empty plates and buffet and messy tables, food left over from previous patrons... A bit of a nightmare. It was a turn off watching this and it questioned the hygiene of the entire hotel. Hotel room overall clean but dated. Carpet has lost its thread in places. All place needs an uplift and a freshening up. It feels dated and dark.

The location was great. I read a lot of reviews before and they were all negative. For the price and location and an ok continental breakfast that had hard boiled eggs, pancakes and fresh croissants I was surprised. The hallways were a bit loud at night but I always bring a white noise machine. We came to party for two nights and only were in the room to sleep. So it did the job. Can’t beat the cost.

The location is ok and the lobby looks good. But I can't say the same for the rooms.

The place is not clean and it has only one lift that is small and faulty i didn't feel safe using it jerks each time it moves and when it opens there is a gap between the lift and floor making it easy to trip and fall if you're not careful. Parking is limited and you pay extra $30 per night which is ridiculous expensive.

The star rating on Booking is misleading. The hotel does not match the quality expected — travelers should be cautious when booking.The room was very old, toilet holder broken, and the sink was unacceptable for a so-called King Suite. Even motels have better bathrooms than this hotel. On top of that, the security deposit is unreasonably high. Misleading star rating — not worth it.
