I stopped overnight in two directions on a long-distance trip through Montreal in an EV. Being able to charge at the hotel overnight made a real difference in my travel plans. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was cute and clean. Bathroom was perfect. I often am annoyed by the sound of hotel minifridges going on and off throughout the night. The drawer style fridge was very quiet. I appreciated that it contained two refillable glass bottles of water instead of single-use plastic.

The room was on the "cozy" side (i.e., small), but we were comfortable in two queen beds and it had everything we needed.

The recent renovations are fantastic. The location, as always, can't be beat. Staff was extremely helpful, even when I got into a literal tight spot in the parking lot. Went above and beyond to help. They helped us solve an issue with room placement as well.

Floors of renovated showers are very slippery. Hard edges make it dangerous for young children.

The bed was clean and high quality material but the comforter was too hot/thick for me and was uncomfortable for me for most of my stay. I even turned the AC on to lower the temperature of the room but had the same experience. Housekeeping/maintenance staff were not as friendly as the front desk staff.

Great location for exploring the city without the hassle of the old town traffic. Very helpful and friendly staff - it is a training institute but still feels like a proper hotel. Spacious rooms and well equipped- albeit the flooring is a bit unusual/ industrial in appearance. Great value parking on site. Very walkable location for exploring the city and lots of neighbourhood restaurants on your doorstep. Métro station next door. Excellent breakfast every day in hotel restaurant and great service. Would certainly use again without doubt.

The breakfast offerings, both hot and cold, were extensive and of high quality. The room was well-designed with modern furnishings and lighting. The balcony with table and chairs offered an opportunity to enjoy the view and relax outdoors. The room and all common areas were clean and well-maintained. The location is superb for exploring most parts of the city. The Sherbrooke metro line is at the corner.

The configuration of the room, the decor, the layout were among the best that I have ever seen, the location was perfect - right next to the tube but also witching walking distance to the old town. The weekend reception was tops, as all were hotel students learning their craft and the restaurant appeared fully booked in the evening, as though much prized locally.

The hotel is so clean and well appointed; our room was perfect. The staff is incredible and provided answers to every question with smiling faces. Breakfast in the dining room is an added plus, very elegantly served. The location is great, just a straight 25-30 walk to the old city. And, there are so many restaurants and green spaces right near the hotel. By the way, it’s a training hotel so everything is done efficiently and perfectly. Also, underground parking is available.

I have a food allergy and notified the staff of that at breakfast on our first morning and the next day when I sat down for breakfast, they said "your breakfast is being prepared" without me having to remind them or anything, which was really great. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was good but it was not exceptional as rates. “Good” is more than enough for the breakfast I had in this hotel comparing to other hotels I have been before.

Our room was not prepared before we arrived there and they gave us another room (suite) but the day after they bring it back and asked us to move to another room. The other room was close to staff room and the sound of opening and closing of the staff room was so loud that would like some one is in your room and opening and closing the door. As we had pet, this triggered him to bark all the day. The other day the bathroom drainage clogged with the first use and I asked them to fix it and they needed me to stay at room to send someone but I needed to go for a meeting (for 30 mins) and neither could not leave my dog nor bring him with myself. So I cancelled the meeting…

Unfortunately after asking about the takeaway breakfast option 3 times, we were told it could be made up for an early departure we had for a train out of the city. On the morning we left they decided to tell us the kitchen wasn’t open and they didn’t make takeaway breakfast. We didn’t buy food for a long journey and this made a bad experience.

Your staff was unaware where to catch the Hop On and Hop Off bus. One must go to the headquarter to purchase the tickets FIRST. Although they have 9 stops and one of the stops was nearby you can't aboard the bus w/o going to the headquarter staton first. It was not a walking distance, it was more than 4 miles away.

Overall, our stay at Hôtel de l'ITHQ was a very pleasant and agreeable experience. We would like to give kudos in particular to the helpful staff. We had a car problem on the day we arrived, and the staff were able to recommend a mécanicien who was able to take care of our issue. Speaking of cars, there is an on-site parking garage which is comped by the hotel; once we got our car sorted, we were able to set it and forget it. The hotel is situated in a really cool neighborhood right on Saint-Denis, right across from a park, and easily walkable to many attractions.

Hôtel de l'ITHQ is, in part, a culinary school. We didn't get to try the restaurant for dinner - it seemed to have somewhat constrained hours - but did use it for breakfast, included with out stay. The dining room was very nice, with linen table service, and the service staff very attentive, but the breakfast itself, buffet style, was somewhat pedestrian. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing to write home about.

The hotel is attached to the hotel and tourism college and proved to be a great choice for our stay in Montreal. Situated on the Plateau Mont Royal and directly above Sherbrooke Metro station, the hotel is a perfect base for travellers, having easy access to the old town and port, and also to downtown. The room and bathroom were a good size and very comfortable (although the bed could have been a bit larger), and we loved using the balcony which had great views over the city. Breakfast was good, if slightly unimaginative, and the staff were universally friendly and very helpful. Located on Rue St Denis, the hotel is within very easy walking distance of many of the city's best and most interesting restaurants.

I was traveling with my teenage son and needed a room with two beds--hard to find in a good location in Montreal. We LOVED the location. Great to be right on top of the Metro. The breakfast was good once we figured out the right things to choose. Quiet. Also, there was parking underneath the hotel with an EV charger, which I needed. Very convenient.

The location is right beside a metro station and across from a park. The hotel is a school for future hotel managers.

The WiFi did not work my entire 4 night stay. This was definitely a downside since we now use our phones for everything and visiting from outside of Canada, I didn’t want I use up the data I had available. If you stay here you need to email or call and ask them if they have WiFi AND if the WiFi is actually working. Not having reliable WiFi for a hotel in a major city is definitely a drawback.

Possibly the best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had! A real restaurant with real servers. This hotel is a training school for those going into hospitality and the service is outstanding. I wish this was an actual chain of hotels. There were so many restaurants in the area that we had a very difficult time picking. You name it; Asian, Ethiopian, Venezuelan, Mexican, Mediterranean, Indian, Tibetan, and so many more. Not to mention that just about every restaurant offered vegan/vegetarian options!

The layout of the lobby is a bit strange but that’s about it.

Room details--bed nooks, nightlight in bathroom, balcony

The front desk staff didn't tell us things like checkout time or info about breakfast when we checked in and then since there was only one person working at the desk most times we needed something, we often had to wait to get a question answered because the staff member was on the phone.

We weren’t sure of the location, but after speaking with Gabrielle, who was phenomenal, we found out that we were in fact in the most ideal location. The set up of the room was perfect. It was unique to other hotel rooms and I felt the layout was perfectly done. The staff was extremely hospitable and helpful! Gabrielle went above and beyond to help us out! The ability to park right at the hotel was a true delight. The refillable water bottles were perfect!

While the breakfast was one of the absolute best I included breakfasts I’ve ever had at a hotel, it would have been nice to a have slightly varied breakfast between the two days.

Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Location of the hotel for a tourist was fantastic. Right on Saint Denis where tons of shops and restaurants are, and right above Sherbrooke station, so it was incredibly easy to get around the city.

Staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the thoughtfully conceived design details in the rooms, such as the small cubbies for phone and water glass next to the beds and smart lighting options. The hotel design is fresh and unique. Great location away from the touristy areas and near the lively hangouts that locals enjoy.

Outstanding on all fronts with an unbeatable location in a very cool area (the "Plateau"). We took the metro downstairs (Sherbrooke station) daily and thoroughly enjoyed walking around the lovely adjacent park (which has a little coffee shop in the middle) and nearby neighborhoods. Highly recommend La Fabrique right next door for an amazing brunch on the patio, La Majestique on St. Laurent for lively drinks/eats and Bar Suzanne on Duluth for hip open-air drinks/vibes. And as others have said, the free daily breakfast (7-9am weekdays) at the hotel is quite good, with lots of options (including chocolate croissants), so it's worth getting up for. We also got beer/wine from the small bar in the lobby, which has some unusual offerings that you can take upstairs and enjoy on your balcony overlooking the city. What's not to like?!

The location is perfect for both those traveling y car or relying on public transportation. The Metro is literally next door and accessed by a covered path from the lobby to the station. The room was well laid out and the balcony is exceptional. The view was perfect to orient us as we traveled across the city. The breakfast was amazing. Both the quality and variety of offerings is exceptional.

The location couldn't be better. Walk to dozens of nearby restaurants and next door to the Sherbrooke orange line metro. Taxis right in front or Uber can pick you up. Rooms had great counter space, storage, bar area with Nespresso and convenient pull out refrigerator drawer. Rain shower head had great pressure and got hot quickly on 7th floor. Bed comfy. Breakfast exceeded expectations including the morning staff.

Not much to complain about but if pressed, the bathroom lighting was too dark. Also there should ideally be a charging outlet on both sides of the bed or counter behind it. The staff are students in training so not necessarily as knowledgeable or responsive about all requests or inquiries but totally understandable as they are learning their profession and there's always room for improvement in any hotel organization.

Fine hotel but their policies are horrible. Staff wasn't helpful in resolving the situation.

we had a family issue and requested to check out early at 4pm prior to the last day. They refused saying since we used booking.com (first even thought THEY took the payment) and then even when booking.com contacted them they said it wasn't policy and nothing was refundable.

Very interesting hotel in a great location. I had a room on the top floor with a fantastic view of the bridges and river. The room was very bright and modern. Breakfast was included and the restaurant was very pleasant. Walk through Sq St Louis to Prince Arthur and enjoy the park and the restaurants and patios!

To be very picky, I would have liked slippers, but again, a small thing.
