Beautiful, charming room and hotel in a lovely location in Old Montreal. We loved the look of the exposed beams in the room, and overall the design was a mix of modern and classic. Every person we met working front of house couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. They had loads of advice about getting around the local area, and there were lots of lovely restaurants, cafes, bars nearby. They also went above and beyond to make sure that I had a (very tasty) gluten free croissant as part of my breakfast. We would happily stay there again!

We loved it and it wasn't an issue for us but it's worth noting that there are steps in to the hotel and up to the rooms.

Clean and comfortable. We stayed in a room closed to restaurants. It’s a little noisy at round 10:00pm because they clean and set chairs. It’s normal in other times. They gave 20% discount coupon for restaurants expense. The food is good.

Perfect location for us as around the block from our adult children. Old Montreal is a beautiful place to visit. The room is beautiful.

The beds were just not comfortable for us. Also, it is up a flight of stairs and there is no elevator. My husband and son carried up/down my luggage but I had just injured my knee so it was a bit challenging for me.

The hotel is well located, close to the old port and surrounded by art galleries and some restaurants. Staff was very nice, accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast, which was included, was copious and of good quality with homemade rillettes (hmmm!).

I loved the staff at this hotel, who were so personable and helpful. and couldn't get over the quaintness and intimacy of this beautiful hotel, right in the very center of old town Montreal. The rooms have old stone walls, with heavy beams in the ceiling. It felt like a European haven to me. Just a wonderful feeling in the room. Everything was pristinely clean as well. As there are not that many rooms in the hotel, there was much less traffic and noise in the halls as is sometimes the case with a larger hotel. The hotel was walking distance to many many shops and wonderful restaurants in old town. A true retreat, with a European feel.

I would have preferred breakfast with eggs and bacon or sausage, rather than the continental breakfast served. However, the continental breakfast was one of the better ones I've seen, so not a negative really unless you are expecting more American-style fare.

Breakfast was perfectly adequate but on holiday lots of people want a little luxury, and this was more like the little breakfast that airlines give you after a long flight. İ would have liked an egg or at least a couple of types of cheese. Day 1 consisted of a bread roll with airline-style portions of peanut butter, jam, butter and cheese plus a two-bite sponge cake and an airline-style sachet of nuts and a 355ml bottle of orange juice to share between two guests. (They did give us a second one but we had to ask). The second day for each there was a croissant, a single portion each of cheese, Nutella, and butter, a two-bite sponge cake, a sachet of nuts, And a full bottle of juice. The coffee and juice were both good.

Pricing: major issue. The price for this particular stay was higher than subsequent dates before and after it. The booking was overpriced in itself for what the facilities had to offer. The continental breakfast was skimpy. We've had better at a Best Western. On small details it fell short. For example the "Queen superior" bed barely fits two adults, it was a cross btwn a single and a queen size bed. The two small bathtowels had no ply. They were like something you would use on a kitchen counter. We asked for more and had to run down to the desk get them. For this amout of money we could do a lot better and I'm very hesitant to even use Bookings.com again.

Staff were super sweet.The room had gorgeous exposed brick! Bathroom was beautifully updated. Plus they have continental breakfast that they actually delivered to our room, which they offered to do! They asked if we had any allergies and I said gluten free so we got two lunch boxes with all gluten-free stuff including a delicious croissant with jam. We'll definitely be coming back here again!!

There were few road closures due to construction had us going though detours to find the hotel. Aside from that, everything was great.

Very cute location right in Old Port Montreal, perfect little cobblestone streets and so close to so many fantastic restaurants, shops and the cathedral. The room was perfect and though we stayed in the room right off reception we felt quite comfortable. The breakfast box included was also perfect start to the day!

The Queen bed had 3 pillows, it felt weird to have an odd number to split between me and my spouse. Also the shower was hard to work switching between the hand held sprayer and the overhead, towels are were incredible small for what is meant to be a boutique hotel.

Fantastic two night stay. Loved the size and coziness of the room and the king bed was very comfortable. The shower was amazing and hard to get out of; a nice touch with the mood lighting. The lovely receptionist Daphne (sorry if the spelling is incorrect) was a real gem. Super helpful, friendly and a delight to engage with during our stay. The pre-packed breakfast was very mediocre. It included a pastry with butter and jam, a bottle of juice, and some packaged snacks. Tea and coffee were available on a self-service basis. I think there is room for improvement here. Some cereals, fresh fruit and yoghurt would be nice.

Great location, and the hotel was lovey. The room had featured the exposed stone of the original historic building, as well as big exposed beams across the ceiling. Combined with a very comfortable bed and a small faux fireplace, it was so cozy and romantic. View from the window was also beautiful, looking over St Paul Ouest. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the continental breakfast in the morning was just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Decent hotel close to the sights of Montreal. Friendly reception staff.

Room - and hotel overall - felt a little dated. I also fell ill at the property and was confined to my room for most of my stay, sadly. I found that I had to keep explaining to each new staff member over the phone that I was dealing with intense food poisoning in my room and needed - for example - more water or a different breakfast*, to which their responses varied from actual concern to a shrug of the shoulders. A shout out to the night security guard who at least phoned my room an hour or so after I first reported my illness to make sure I was doing OK. Otherwise - given that housekeeping is optional - I had the feeling that I could have honestly suffered a health emergency here and no one would have noticed until it was time to check out, which was truly scary. Some kind of system to check on sick guests is needed. *The breakfast is also nothing to write home about, and the hotel wasn't even able to provide a slice of toast or bread when I was struggling to keep food down, because they buy in the croissants and whatnot in advance.

Loved location, staff and room size. Bed was pretty comfy. Coffee machine good, no kettle so no tea. Great initiative re sustainability which we appreciated. Breakfast was croissants, coffee/ tea and snacks. A good start to the day. Also can get 20% off dinner at sister hotel restaurants which was great.

No lift. Did get lots of help from staff though for luggage. Windows still sealed shut for winter so room a bit stuffy but understood this. Lighting a bit low but good for reading in bed. TV good too with some free movie channels.

Boutique hotel almost 200 years old with stone walls and large wooden beams. Lots of character and in an excellent location for Old Montreal. The second room we stayed in on the second floor was spacious and bright. All of the staff was amazing and very helpful.

The first room, 104, is very small with a very small window. Very overpriced! The “box” breakfast with a croissant and juice was not satisfying.

Well situated to be able to walk to shops, restaurants, the waterfront, events

Right now there is construction happening right in front of the hotel and for blocks on both sides. The maze to get to the hotel is unfortunate. We found that exiting the hotel from the back door made it easier to set off for the day or order an uber ride. Due to this construction the hotel’s little restaurant/ bar is temporarily closed. Breakfast was served in a box with a fresh croissant, apple, cheese and a fruit bar or seed mix. Fresh coffee, tea was available. Some protein such as yogurt or boiled eggs would have been preferable to the orange juice bottle. The staff were very helpful with advice, serving breakfast and carrying bags.

Very nice location. Very attentive staff. Great shower and comfy bed . Very quiet.

The main inconvenience is not the properties fault - as there is construction going on outside by the city, which they say will end 2026! But the staff was wonderful in helping us get from the parking lot to our hotel. The ‘free’ breakfast was not appropriate for such a supposedly good hotel. For instance: bad Coffee, and the list goes on, let’s just say, etc. Of course the room could use an update as well bathroom fixtures, etc.

The room was very clean, and the location was wonderful. Within easy walking distance of several excellent restaurants. The breakfast had lots of options.

It took two elevators to get to our room, one of which was a self-serve, where you had to press the button and hold it down for which floor you wanted. The room had a number of angled ceilings that were very low. We slept with our heads at the foot of the bed to make sure we didn't hit our head when waking.

It was difficult to find and access the hotel due to construction on the street. We called and Fatima gave us directions to the parking lot behind the hotel and said she would meet us in the lot and take us to the back entrance of the hotel. She was most gracious. Breakfast every day was nice - I loved the freshly made hot chocolate. The croissant and small jar of jam was deliciouis.

Vegan options for breakfast were limited. I saw that other guests had yogurt as well as a croissant - there are vegan yogurts too!

I love the staff especially Catherine and the man who was at the front desk when we moved out. Catherine goes above and beyond her job descritiption. The place is so homey. I slept comfortably & peacefully in the hotel. The place is near restaurants, botiques, the ferris wheel, Chinatown, Notre Dame and many more.

Location and esthetic

There was major construction in front of the hotel and a gas pipe was broken just minutes after we checked in and we were evacuated. The hotel should be transparent about work being done in and around the hotel before booking. I’ve stayed there before and loved it. Had I known that the entire street in front of the hotel was completely dug up I would have chosen to stay at another hotel.

Catherine was amazing and very helpful. The continental breakfast was very nice and left outside your room. The hotel was extremely quiet and the bed was very comfortable.

There was no elevator but that did not really impact our stay. The staff was very accommodating and offered to assist on multiple occasions.

The room was wonderful and equipped with all the necessary hotels amenities. The front staff was kind and the hotel has a complimentary glass of wine as you check-in. A very nice way to start the stay. The location in old port was very close to the resto we had reservations for that evening. (especially as it was so cold lol). The breakfast basket was so cute and came with 2 of everything. I would go back next time we are looking for a getaway.
