The communication from the hotel prior to booking date was excellent. The hotel room was exquisite. Made you feel like you were in the 18th century. Very comfortable, very roomy and the renovated bathroom was amazing. We book boutique hotels all the time and realize you don`t get food, drinks and front desk staff. We were located so close the great restaurants and convenience stores it didn`t matter. The location on rue St Louis just behind the Frontenac was ideal. Would stay there again in a heartbeat!
Downstairs at the hotel, there is a sort of kitchen where they keep extra glasses, creamers for coffee, etc.. Guests are welcome to help themselves. I think it needs to be stocked a bit better. We sometimes couldn't get cream and glasses that we needed.

Great location for being 'on top' in Quebec City. Near to all the walking and activities. Close to many restaurants and sights like the Terrace, Funicular and many quaint streets. Although they weren't on site, the staff were very responsive to issues like blocked parking, temperature regulation and even helping us to get into the hotel.
We had two rooms and we had some challenges in both of them regulating temperature for warmer during the day and cooler at night for sleeping. Other than that it was fine.

The location was excellent. We were in the heart of Quebec City with access to nearly everything. The room was clean and well-maintained. We requested to reserve a parking spot in advance, and the staff was very helpful in accommodating our request.
The room was smaller than expected, and the price was higher than anticipated for our overall accommodation experience. These were the only areas for improvement.

Great location near old Quebec City. Room was comfortable.
Internet in room 18 was very poor in the bedroom. Had to go into the sitting room or out into the common area to get decent service.
Also the room phone did not work. Reported both of these to the staff through texts. No improvement to the Internet by the time we left, and phone was not fixed or replaced.
It is a bit annoying not to have anyone on site to talk to. All contract initially has to be done virtually.

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel. Last time was 7 years ago in 2017. The location is perfect, convenient to reach anywhere in old town. The room is classy and comfortable.

Lobby access code, room access code and wifi details were sent in a day in advance and even though there was no one at the reception, they were prompt in answering any questions we had. Location yet again. Charming clean and safe place.

No one to greet you and disorganized check in process. They were unable to retrieve my reservation and the phone and wanted to shift me to a different location. Very unsettling. Eventually got it worked out but I had already went to the new location and the was called back to original.

Lê Clos is in a great location. The longest walk to any place within the Old Quebec area is 10min from there. The old world ambiance is beautiful I would say romantic even. Entry had a great security system. Cute little booties to use so your boots don’t ruin the floors on entry.
What we didn’t enjoy was absolutely no staff. No one at the front desk to tend to the littles details. There are lots of little notes in your room for basic questions. We needed help with the heat, hard to be romantic when your room sits at so high a temp we opened and shut the windows ALL NIGHT LONG to regulate the heat system. Weather was 5-19 degrees Fahrenheit. Open the window or “try” to adjust nozzle, by the floor of cast iron heater.That is what the notes suggest. The room was actually a decent size but the furniture was so big we had to turn side ways on one side to get into the bed. Old world lamps took up the majority of the plugs. Minimal spots to charge, phones, laptops or IPads. There is also no way to get your luggage up the stairs but to carry. We were on the third floor. We also where visiting for five days to Christmas shop and celebrate or 25th anniversary. We had three bags between us. Perhaps the other rooms are a better size?

I was a beautiful room and the hotel location was perfect for our stay.
It was too hot and I reached on the 2nd day for assistance and didn't get any. I know they want it to be more historical but the bathroom had no space to put anything. The vending machine didn't work so couldn't get a beverage or water other than tap. It would have been nice to have a person on site at least for a period of time each day.

The Hotel is very well located, close to everything in Old Quebec. Checkin and checkout were very easy. Very nice bedroom with comfortable bed and vintage furniture. Spacious, well set up bathroom (with a hairdryer).
It was not an issue for us, but there are no elevators, so you have to use the stairs.

Quaint and beautiful interior design on a nice street in a good location. If you're looking for something peculiar from olden times, this is the place to stay.
Given that the building is not new, regulating temperature is not possible other than opening the window. We were staying on the top floor when there was -15 C outside, and it was so hot in the room it was hard to breathe and hard to fall asleep. We had to keep the window almost completely open to cool down the room at least by a few degrees, but that seemed very unsustainable.

Our room wasn't cleaned (we stayed 2 nights), AC/fan did not work, bathroom needs renovation, shower head cannot be hand held. Amenities: difficult to find milk for coffee, did not find ice, no drinking glasses in room, no employees on site except for one instance where I encountered one and she was unhappy I disturbed her.

Great location right in the middle of the old city. Really interesting old building with decor to match. A lot of period pieces throughout the lobby, halls and the rooms to really make it feel like an older experience. Quiet outside on the streets during the evening, but might be different during busier times of year
Although not a big issue for us, there were alot of stairs to get up to the 4th floor. Including a spiral staircase with narrow steps. We loved the look and didn't have a issue but it's worth knowing.

Its style and furniture
It felt very impersonal with no staff, our sonata had no plug we contacted the property via text. Which didn’t work and left a message via booking.com which was ignored, so subsequently couldn’t use this highlight. Was unable to enter the property one night along with another guest, fortunately their partner was inside and was able to help both us and her bf. Vending machine was out of order and lack of refreshments.

This is a darling boutique hotel in an excellent location in a gorgeous city. The hotel is right in the heart of Old Quebec. Everything was within walking distance and there were awesome restaurants and shopping just steps away. It was mostly very quiet, there was the occasional weekend reveler on the street who woke us up but that can be expected in a city. We stayed in room 24 on the 3rd floor, it was very clean and well appointed. The staff were super helpful and kind, you never see them but they are quick to answer questions via text whenever needed. And I had a ton of questions prior to arrival, I'm sure I tested their patience but they never showed it. We would definitely stay here again!
We were in room 24 on the 3rd floor. I will say, the floors are VERY THIN. We were fortunate in that during the 4 nights we stayed, there was only someone in the room above us for the last night or 2, but we could hear every single foot step and...um..."celebration" (haha). It was very very warm in the room (we were there in late March so no AC yet) and the heat was cranked (no individual room temp control) - so we had to occasionally crack the window to get some air but it was fine. The bathroom was a bit on the smaller side and the whirlpool bath tub (which we were looking forward to) didn't work at all, but they gave us a 15% discount on our last night for that so that was nice at least. The room has a little TV with cable, but if you don't speak French (and I do try, but alas am not very good at it) you won't find much on there. We noticed a DVD player too, if we come back (and we definitely want to!) we will bring DVDs :) There was a Nespresso machine in the room which was great! I didn't see instructions on how to operate it for others, fortunately I have the same exact one so it wasn't a problem for me. Other things to note: as others have said the stairs are long and steep, if you have heavy bags or mobility issues book a lower floor. The railing leading up to the 3rd floor from the 2nd is loose at the top so be careful. The rooms don't have mini-fridges, which wasn't ideal since we were staying for several days but they do have a little kitchen in the basement with a communal fridge, microwave, and sink. They have 5 parking spaces in the back lot you can reserve for $25 CAD/night which was great, but do note there doesn't appear to be an entrance to the hotel from the parking lot so you have to haul your stuff around the building to the front (unless we missed something). All minor issues, we hope to be back sometime!

Great location, walking distance to old Quebec city. Staff were friendly and easy to communicate with and quick to reply to messages. It was nice to have a car park at the property for an extra fee. Room on the top floor had a coffee pod machine, mini fridge, kettle. Kitchen downstairs had microwave, plates, and a fridge.
Stairs to the top floor wasn't our favourite part but you are warned about it before booking your room. It wasn't too bad either.
