1. The room was dirty and poorly furnished (no chairs, no table).
2. The three available power sockets were not working at night, so we couldnβt charge our phones. A staff member came at 10 a.m. and electricity was switched on.
3. There was no hot water in the morning.

The location was great for me, the hotel is close to the subway. Great value for money. Both the reception staff and the cleaning staff were very attentive and helpful.

The most affordable hotel I could find in Berlin. Great value for money. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days, mainly because it was the most affordable option in the central area. It's located just a few steps from two metro lines, including the U-Bahn, and getting around the city is super easy, even with Bolt scooters. You can reach Postdamer Platz in about 15 minutes on foot, and the hotel is near Postdamer Strasse, which is known for being one of Berlin's red-light districts. So, the area might not be ideal for every type of traveler.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly and helpful staff member at the reception, who also recommended a nice spot for coffee, which I appreciated. However, I had to wait until 2 PM for my room to be ready.
When I finally got to my room, I immediately noticed that the lock was problematic: it was difficult to both open and close, and I had to give it a good shove with my shoulder to get in.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the room left much to be desired. I found hairs (not mine) on the bed covers, and when I slightly moved the wardrobe, I discovered a pair of dirty socks that must have belonged to a previous guest. I reported this to reception, and to their credit, they removed them quickly. However, I didn't receive an apology for the inconvenience.
Although the bed was quite worn out, it was the only thing that I found somewhat comfortable during my stay.
In summary, the hotelβs location is definitely a plus, but I canβt overlook the serious cleanliness and maintenance issues. Also, the proximity to Postdamer Strasse might not be suitable for those looking for a quiet or family-friendly area. If these issues were improved, this could become a decent choice for budget travelers in central Berlin.

The bathroom wasn't finished with construction, the mirror was damaged. A strong smell of cigaretteswas coming out of the ventilation. And the heating on the whole floor wasn't working, so it was freezing. Luckily the reception lent uns their electric heater, but we wonder how the other guests managed.

Apparently the property is being renovated. The room was very bare bones. No closet just a rack for clothes. No television. The bathroom's fan cover was missing. The shelf above the sink was too low to the sink.. Could not wash face comfortably. Internet security was almost too good. Could not access certain websites that I needed. Had to go across the street to a coffee shop.

Hotel is situated in a nice neighborhood, there are several supermarkets nearby, some nice restaurants and quick access to nearby U-bahn. Receptionists were nice and helpful, also hotel provides some discounted cards and bonuses for cityβs museums and attractions.
The sheets were stained and sink in the bathroom is beyond uncomfortable, almost impossible to wash your face, because of how little room there is between the sink itself and the stand above it. Also the cleaning service is inconsistent, one day we had the floor towel near the shower, one day we hadnβt.

This centrally located accommodation is within walking distance of the Brandenburg Gate, offering easy access to numerous restaurants and shopping opportunities. It's conveniently situated less than 500 meters from the S-Bahn stop and boasts numerous nearby bus stops. The room was comfortably heated during our December stay, and we were even able to check in early."
The room felt a bit cramped, and the view from the window was obstructed due to ongoing renovation work during our stay. Providing two chairs for seating would have enhanced the comfort.

It was a complete nightmare!
Upon arrival at the hotel, it seemed like it wasnβt operating at all β the entire building was surrounded by construction scaffolding, and renovations were underway, which we had not been warned about!
But the hotel was operating β however, the elevator was not!
There was no kettle or anything else in the roomβ¦
Plastic sheeting covered the windows, one of which was broken and patched up with something. All the windows had locks, and the room was stuffy. Only two windows could be opened slightly, which didnβt help with ventilation. It was suffocating at night!
In the morning and during the day β constant construction noise.
At night, it was scary to be there β you could hear screaming, shrieking, and banging in the hallwaysβ¦
One evening, we saw a homeless person in the hotel corridors.
We never found anyone at the reception desk, either in the morning or in the evening, to ask what was going on in this βhotel.β
It felt more like a flophouse or a den than a hotel!

No security whatsoever. They leave the doors open and no one to attend to people until late in the afternoon.
I had luggages waiting in front of the hotel where it clearly states at the entrance that they have 24 hours video security. But as I went into the hotel to ask for help, a thief stole one of my suitcases right at the entrance. And then I discover that the hotel was open with no security and the reception room was locked.
Even afterwards, they claimed that the video camera were only inside the building and was no help at all for my stolen suitcase.
Also, from the outside image here and how it is presented on Booking.com, it looks like the building is accessible for persons with disabilities but that is deceptive. There are a bunch of stairs right from the entrance up. And the elevator was not working.
And as a person with disabilities, you can image how difficult it was for me to navigate the stairs just to even access the reception. And that was why I couldn't carry all my suitcases at once and someone stole one.

Actually I was surprised due to the construction, that inside is super clean , every day we got like new towels. The location was so good, 2-3 min to the bus station and 5 min to the U . Restaurant and Market were all nearby. The stuff were very friendly and helpful.

The room and bathroom were both exceptionally clean and a good size. The check in process was very quick and easy.
There was no table or wardrobe or anything where we could put our stuff. The police came in the middle of the night to the other rooms shouting POLIZEI and the shouting woke us up and we were afraid because we didnβt know what was going on. Also the location is not the best.

This was in a really accessible area via the underground and buses (nearest underground was only a few hundred metres away). There was minimal noise with the windows closed facing out onto the street. There was a decent shower and bathroom and there are several supermarkets nearby too.

for the price we were pleasantly surprised, we got clean towels and toilet paper daily. the beds were comfortable and the staff was very nice.
the BΓΌlowstraΓe bus stop and u bahn station are literally 100 meters away.
there were useful free discounts to museums and experiences, plus little cards that one can take as souvenirs.
overall it was pretty bang for the buck, iβd definitely come back for another cheap stay.?
overall cleanliness could be improved, but the toilets and sheets were clean in our experience.
unfortunately it seems there isnβt a breakfast room anymore which couldβve been useful.
