Interesting place to explore in close proximity to the Hotel are Talaat Harb Square, Abdeen Palace Museum, Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo, The Egyptian Museum, Bab al Luq, Tahrir Square, Islamic Art Museum, orascomtourism, Khan Al Khalili, AUC Tahrir Square and others.

Very hospitable and helpful staff, perfect location in downtown with its own unique atmosphere (be ready that it'll be a bit noisy, but it is inevitable in this area), vintage furnitured rooms in a historical building.
The bedsheets (which were clean btw) could be not that vintage :)

The rooms are very spacious and clean. Each room comes with a balcony. The staff is incredibly nice. I arrived before the check-in time and took a nap in the waiting area. They brought me a pillow and a blanket. This was my second time in the hostel and I will be staying there every time I am in downtown Cairo.

Central location. First impresion of the room was OK, nice creative deco, with the headboards made of colorfuly painted old doors.
Many things need a lot of improvement. But the most important is get rid of the bed bugs! We were bitten like crazy. Two nights of pure torture. Still itching, bites all over the body. Also full of mosquitoes. Air con not working well. Room was very hot and stuffy. Bed side table also dirty. I spilled some water by accident and wiped it off right away. What I saw on the tissue was disgusting. Don't think the table was cleaned in a very long time. Lots of noise coming from the main street as well. Expected in a big city but if you have a light sleep stay away as you will not sleep for a minute with all the honking. Breakfast has a huge room for improvement, too. Overall, we did not rest much here during two days.

The staff were very nice and extremely accommodating for taxi cabs to and from the Cairo International Airport. In addition, the air conditioning is quite effective.

Helpful and friendly staff, from the drink desk to the housekeeper. We paid for what we get and honestly, we came with low expectations but everything worked as it should. Mohammed even offered us Turkish coffee. Thank you for having us.
If I could recommend something to improve your property it will be just to pay more attention while changing beds. There were some hairs in the bed linens, some stains as well. But I could tell by the smell they were washed for sure! Because I worked in a hostel too I know this isnt lack of cleaning, its quite normal even at home that a washing by itself wont make hair and resistant stains go away, but it would help if you shake the linens before putting in the mattress and an extra check to wipe it off.
There were some mosquitoes as well, some insecticide in every room could be effective but its Cairo, so its quite normal to have them just having the windows opened for 5 minutes.
Other than that, it was all good!

Well, yes, it is in the downtown
EXTREMELY NOISY, you will not be able to sleep because of CONSTANT signaling cars on the road. This is an Arabic countries phenomenon, they signal just because they drive. Use ear plugs if you decide to stay here.
Floors were dirty, wear shoes even in bedroom. Water just doesnt leak well in the bathroom, sink was broken. Mold on ceiling. Mosquitons, flyes, even bees on the balcony. There is probably a nest or something.
Breakfast can make you vomit. Internet is slow.

Our room was right by the reception desk which limits privacy significantly. Besides, the noise early in the morning (5 am) when the pray started was really loud. I know that it is normal but we did not expect it to wake us up so abruptly.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, overall they looked nice and helped me by keeping my luggage with them after checking out. But this is the only positive thing about the stay.
The cleanliness of the room and bed sheets was terrible. The dust was covering every part of the room. The bathroom was terrible, I had to think many times if I have to get into this bathroom or to wait until I visit another place.

We needed a place to lay low and rest before our flight so this was the cheapest choice with decent reviews. We didn't expect much and got what we paid for. My bf really didn't like it but we made due. We missed out flight and stayed an extra day and a half because the price. We liked the wifi and the location although it gets extremely loud at night.
The breakfast didn't match the pics of breakfast online. We got an plain omelet with plain white bread, two pieces of bologne and two slices of cheese and tea. The lift broke so we had to walk 5 flights and it was gross (not the hostel's fault but I think it's important to say). The hot water didn't work or the AC until we told him and then he flipped some switch and it was all good. I think they should already have the switches flipped if they know someone is coming.

Great host, really kind communication, perfect English! As I understood the owner did the design of the interior on his own ideas - congratulations, very good taste.
There were some problems with the bathrooms, but the owner was aware of it and planned construction works right after our booking. Some little things were missing, chairs in the rooms, hooks on the wall in the bathroom and the room etc. The staircase of the house was very dirty but this is not their fault...
