The room was very basic, but exactly what we were looking for. We only wanted to sleep there and be in the centre of things. We had four beds, a mini fridge and a small bathroom. The best about this hostel is the friendly staff and delicious Egyptian breakfast.

The staff was amazing, (front desk open 24/7) accommodating and really nice. They help us with all our questions even the ones related to the country and not the hotel, honestly that was an amazing plus for us, this was our first time in Egypt and Cairo is a chaotic city that can be overwhelming at times. They also help providing tours.. honestly they arenโ€™t necessary for a lot of places but for example for the Saqqara pyramids are a must (without a car is to much to walk under the sun) This property is located close to everything, or a short uber ride from most places, Cairo is open late everyday,even on Sundays, you can find places to eat or even buy clothes until midnight or 1 am. We 100% recommend this place! We will be back!

The only thing we think it needs an upgrade is the elevator. The door doesnโ€™t work properly and is a hustle to get in and out of it. The door needs a holding mechanism.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I could do my laundry with them for a very affordable price and when our hot water didn't work they managed to fix it. It's in the hearth of Cairo and you have the museum and other attracrions at walking distance.

The elevator of the house felt quite unsafe and it wasn't possible to close the window in the room so it was cold at night.

The hotel is very clean and up to the standard as per mentioned in the booking.com website and most important is in the middle of downtown and the location is very convenient, walking distance from the market and other tourist attractions. The rooms are very hygienic and clean. 24 hours cctv camera and reception team is available for support day and night. And main thing the breakfast is very good. I especially thank Mr Abdo, Mr Omer and Mr Mohammed they are very helpful, kind, and very supportive. In my stay they guide me how to go, where to go, which is the best way to go there. Spot on location. Step out of the door and you're straight into the beating heart of Cairo. Transfer from Sphinx Airport to hostel prearranged was great. Despite being on a busy street the room was quiet at night with no noise from the street. Staff helpful, friendly and always at hand. En suite bathroom appreciated.

Nothing really. WIfi dropped out sometimes but was soon back on line. There wasn't a window in the room but that meant had a quiet night's sleep.

A great place to stay. It is very clean and comfortable and has some modern style. It is well run and secure with 24hr staff on the desk. A good breakfast too. Our room was pretty quiet too as they are mostly away from the busy front street.

The only problem is you have to pay cash on arrival in Dollars. They donโ€™t take credit cards! Entrance next to Tie House.

Everything was clean, located in the heart of the busy streets of Cairo. The staffs were so kind and helpful all throughout our stay. The room is good comfy, and clean. The building is a bit old but otherwise it was good. Breakfast starts at 8am. We didnโ€™t had time to eat breakfast but they were so kind to give us breads and jams for takeaway.

The elevator was quite of a struggle to enter in, but considering that this is an old building itโ€™s fine.

Nice, friendly staff.. very small, clean and quiet hostel with only 4 rooms. The breakfast was different every day, but always tasty and more than enough. Very near Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum. Lots of restaurants in the area.

Nour Hostel was located in a good location, near the Egyptian Museum, the Nile and the Tower of Cairo , the stuff was extremely polite and helpful and prepared for us a perfect day trip to Alexandria and the breakfast was top notch! We had also a very comfortable sleep.

They didn't change the bags daily so we had a big chunk of bags in our room before we depart , the toilet paper wasn't enough even for half a day and the elevator was too old.

We were very pleased with the location and service of this accommodation. It has an excellent location on a central street, easy to find from other points, and close to shops and restaurants. We were very well looked after by the reception staff, at a very late check-in, who tried to meet our needs as much as possible, providing us with tours of Cairo at a very good price. The reception staff had a very professional attitude, the accommodation was clean, the laundry service was good and the breakfast was very good. This is an accommodation that we recommend.

All of the workers were AMAZING, very helpful with us, the hostel is fair for the money you paid, breakfast is also quite good.

The street can be a bit noise and crowded so for moments we did not feel safe going out on our own, (2 women) especially from 5pm but at the same time is in a good location if you want to be close to the Egyptian museum

We really liked the location, it is close to the egiptian museum and also close to the famous bazar Khan el Khalili, the metro station is also a few minutes away if you need it. You have everything on the street you wish for - restaurants, shops, markets, it is a very interesting street where you can feel a bit of their coulture. The staff of the hostel is really kind and helpful, they helped us with the trip to the Giza pyramids. The breakfast was delicious and the room was really clean. We really liked everything, we wish we could stay longer.

The location I central the rooms are a good size.

Maybe the smoking wasn't in the hostel but sitting directly outside the entrance is the same. Phone calls to reception made it difficult to sleep through as the room was right next to it.

We had one excellent spacious room and one shoebox of a room. Both were the same price. The spacious room was lovely, clean, comfortable, nice window for air, and quiet. Staff were lovely. Breakfast was one of the better ones we had in Egypt.

The shoebox room was noisy as it backed onto the cleaners washing machines, the shower was actually over the toilet and sink with no separation of them at all. Lift was small and scary with the most ridiculous doors, but you have to use it as itโ€™s a LOT of stairsโ€ฆeven going down!

The hostel is located right in the center. Very good breakfast. The elevator is not bad. Great staff. Quite clean.

The room is spacious and the receptionists were helpful. They were professional despite the place didn't seem so, Yakobian building.

The elevator is really the most challenging thing ever, it's very narrow, slow and archaic. It's one of the oldest buildings in Cairo which is fun for those lovers of history, A 100 year old building or so.

I booked Nour Hostel for just one night, as I only needed a place to shower and wait for my evening flight, so I stayed just a few hours. The hostel is located in downtown Cairo, very close to the Egyptian Museum. The room was large and comfortable, and both the air conditioning and the shower heater worked perfectly. Despite being in a busy area, there wasnโ€™t much street noise. For the price, I think itโ€™s a very good option.

I really loved the location on Talaat Harb Street โ€” right in the heart of Cairo! The room was one of the cleanest and nicest Iโ€™ve seen in Downtown. Harb gave me such a warm welcome, and Omar was extremely professional and helpful during my whole stay. Their service made the experience unforgettable.

The hostel is perfectly located on the busiest street in city center with so many restaurants and shops nearby. Room is basic but clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful, make it a peaceful place to rest in the chaotic Cairo.

The building itself and the elevator seems super old and looks a bit scary at first, but it actually functions well.

it's a great location-close to all shops, restaurants, and Egyptian Museum in walking instance. breakfast is freshly made, simple but very tasty. host kindly keep our luggage for our late flight departure after checkout.

facility is outdated such as the old elevator, bathroom with shower partially clogged. need to space each shower with 10-20 mins apart. the main street where the hostel is located on is always very congested. make sure you spare lots of time just to get out of the area (we almost missed our flight)

Nice central location - easy to walk to/from or to get an uber. Good breakfast and nice staff. Needed to checkout early to catch a bus and staff prepared full breakfast before the regularly scheduled breakfast time. Five minute walk to shop that sells beer and wine. Fridge in the room.

The entrance to the building is a bit dirty and looks sketchy but it was safe.
