I liked the location since it is inside the city walls. We didn't want to pay 15 euro for parking so we parked close by, outside the city walls. It is very secure because you need to verify 3 different doors to get inside the apartment. The air conditioning worked fine but you have to pay more for a room with the air conditioning.
The floors were just dirty, there is no way around that. The shower tub is leaking and the curtains for the shower are uncomfortably long. The sink in the bathroom doesn't drain fast enough.
They contacted me about my arrival and gave me a short answer to my question without giving me any instructions but the working hours of the reception. The answer to my question was not informative.

No air conditioning like sleeping in a sauna only one fan. The water tank is above toilet pan not great for guys my husband banged his head so many times crazy small bathroom with this huge tank in it. No change of towels or sheets in 7 days unless we paid 10 euros each item. Lots of young people sitting outside at night.

There was a problem with my pin code. So, I was locked out and bewildered for an hour, at night , before someone came and let me in. Everyone that worked there was very pleasant though. And it all worked out.

Very useful the private parking inside the hotel (15 euros per day). The reception was close but we managed to get the key from a security box.

The shower was wonderful. The kitchen facilities clean and adequate. (No oven. Just a two ring stovetop). Clean bedding and plenty of electric sockets.
Ok, how long have you got? Without going into too much detail, my first room had air conditioning that didn’t come on. It clicked, but that was it.
WiFi? What WiFi?! Don’t be silly! That’s expecting too much!
And if that wasn’t enough directly outside my door in the corridor was a workman using an angle grinder in an area with no protective barrier. Sparks were flying everywhere from the wall and when not in use just left lying on the floor. Guests could only step over him and his tools carefully. Ceiling? There wasn’t one. Only pipes.
So after demanding a refund I was moved to a different room in another block. This was much better. Everything worked, nice and clean and no angle grinders.
But just as I thought ‘peace at last’ the bubble burst with a violent bang when I got into bed.
The only way I can describe the feeling of the mattress: imagine a piece of memory foam laid across huge rocks. The large kind you find on the beach. Of course it wasn’t - it looked and felt just like a mattress. Until you lie on it and all you can feel are rocks digging in your back, shoulders and base of your spine. The only way you can sleep with any degree of normality is on the edge next to the seams. I spent two of my three nights on the floor as this was more bearable.
This place has so much going for it. It’s a student accommodation in real life that’s let as a hotel in the season. It could be fantastic but I’ve slept in more comfortable downtown digs.
By the second day the WiFi had stopped working again and I just couldn’t be bothered with it anymore.
My advice is - look elsewhere and don’t be fooled by the photos. If you’re put in 103 you’ll never get to sleep.
Just a quick thank you to the staff. None of this was their fault and they did everything they could to try to resolve things but I think even they know it’s pointless. They were brilliant.

The breakfast was a perfect start to the day. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location within the old city walls was good, although I felt a little unsafe walking the streets as a solo female traveller - however I always felt safe within the property.
My bathroom had a weird smell for a number of days. The bed and bedding were not very comfortable, although the room was very spacious. The surrounding streets were mostly fine, although I felt a bit unsafe on occasion as a solo female traveller. However, it was what could be expected from the price and, overall, a nice stay.

It was very clean. The bed was comfortable and it was nice having a little sitting area in the studio. The AC worked well and the kitchenette was well supplied. The location was within walking distance to the station and in a quiet area. It was a lovely walk into the centre along pretty streets. It was great to have laundry facilities too! All staff were friendly and helpful.

This is our second stay at the Résidence Les Cordeliers. We spent a week here last year in the spring. We were impressed then and remain impressed. Great value for money. Clean, comfortable and in a great location. The kitchenette was also well kitted out for simple self catering. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We expect to visit again.

We could walk to the attractions in the old town and it wasn’t too far to walk to the train station. The room was spacious, on the ground floor, in a quiet area with good security. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a fridge and a Microwave, and a kitchen table with comfortable chairs. Bed linens and towels were very nice. I would happily stay there again if I ever return to Avignon.

Location is close to the train station (Avignon Centre) and it is inside the city walls. It is spacious, on the ground floor, and has kitchen facilities. While I did not use the laundromat, this would be convenient for travellers on long trips.
Because the shower cubicle is not very big, the shower curtain keeps clinging on me when I take a shower. Not sure how often the shower curtains are thoroughly cleaned if this clings on to different guests. Note the opening and closing times of the reception. If you need to leave your bags for storage for your last day, they only open at 9am while I was there during weekdays(unsure if this is different for weekdays/ weekends/ seasons). The morning and day tours that I have gone on seem to start between 8.30-9am so if this is on your last day, best to check timings.

The location of this Residence Les Cordeliers is within the medieval town walls of Avignon. The place is basic, with a small kitchenette and fridregator, toilet & shower room, good bed with well maintained bedclothes and linen. A very clean place. For the winter time visitors: air-conditioning is warming the room with the temperature as you prefer. The staff is very helpful and friendly.

Location is great because it is very central. You can walk the center of the city. It is in walking distance from the train station.
The rooms are very basic at best. View from the room was not to the garden but parking lot. No AC can be a problem during a hat summer.

This was a fabulous experience. The apartment was very clean and roomy. The building security and parking was outstanding, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They were so much fun to talk with in English and French as I stumble through the French language.

The room's bath was small but sufficient. The kitchen had all that we needed and it was very comfortable for cooking. For the price it was a great place to stay. The bedroom was big enough and had two tables, one for working one for eating for two people.
The place is right in the center and a short walk to any food or restaurant place. We walked to and from the train station, it was a great place to stay.
The shower was quite small and the shower curtains hung too low on the showerfloor, leaving little space to stand. It would be a great first improvement to have them cut shorter or have another solution.
