The view was incredible. The heated outdoor pool overlooking the ocean was a bonus (too bad I had a cold and wasn't able to use it). The kitchenette was adequate to prepare simple meals.
Unfortunately the staff at reception (even though perfectly pleasant) seemed overwhelmed by the booking software and so though I tried to extend my stay and keep the same room, which I was very happy with, they were unable to deal with this despite the fact they had cancellations and so bad availability. Overall though I would stay again.

Loved the proximity to the centre and the beach. We stayed in a twin room which was really spacious we had a fridge, microwave, small hob, kettle and coffee machine. There was a spacious balcony with great views. The added bonus of a pool with sun loungers was really nice. Not sure how hot the room would be in the summer months as there was no air conditioning, but you did have a stand-alone fan in the room. Breakfast was available, but we didn't purchase it.

The pool (whilst lovely and warm) has no shallow end which made it very tricky as my 2 small children can’t swim unaided yet. Not exactly safe to supervise kids when I can’t stand myself. Minimum depth was 1.65m, and this was only for a tiny part of the pool. The majority of staff were super helpful and friendly, but we did have a couple of conversations with one front desk staff member whose customer service training was definitely lacking.
Also, booking.com could make it clear that this is not a standard hotel as the rooms aren’t cleaned, you have to empty the bin yourself and supply your own toilet roll.

The hotel is located very near to the beach and just a few steps away from Gambetta , the main high street. Our room was at the back of the hotel so we had a view of the city and a partial view of the sea. The room was comfortable. Loved the balcony. It was quiet, clean. No British TV but was out most of the time - Biarritz is a lovely place to walk and take in the sunsets. Unfortunately, the extractor fans did not work and so it was a little hot in the bathroom but apart from that it was great.

The hotel needs an overhaul, as we saw 2 rooms and they were both rather outdated. There were features from the 70s that could be easy to get rid of.

We had a wonderful stay in this Residence. Although when we booked it said ground floor, we were given a studio on the second floor with sea view! Only the road separated us from the beach! The studio was spacious and the kitchen unit had everything we needed. We didn't figure out the hob the first day (it had a children's lock) but once they explained this to us at the reception, it worked perfectly. The heated outdoor swimming pool (27 degrees! ) still open in October was a plus. The only thing that wasn't clear to us was that the parkingfee is not included in the price. Besides the tourist tax (which was indicated) we also had to pay 8 euros per day for the parking spot on arrival. All in all a great place to stay, very close to the beach and to the center with many restaurants and shops. We would stay here again!

Pillows, were hard but bed was comfortable. Kitchenette had no basic supplies, At all. You can cook, but zero supplies.

This was our second time in this very nice hotel. Our view from the room was this time really spectacular, from the 8th floor towards the surfers beach and sunset. In the summer might be quite hot, but in October absolutely perfect.
There is no refilling of toilet paper, even if stay is longer. When you ask for it in the reception you get one roll followed by a diapproving look... But nobody has asked us to buy our own. Should we?

Location is second to none (especially with two young kids). 10mins walk to a choice of 3 beaches! What's not to like? Clean apartments with no need to bring your own bed linen (like a lot of other properties). Great facilities in the apartments too. Probably needs a lick of paint in places but for the price, location and optional car parking (€14/night) hard to beat.
Just wish the balcony door was a bit more 'lockable' - kids easily opened it.
