Staff - very friendly. Always greeted with a smile and a bonjour.

2 rooms weren’t available at 3 pm as promised. I had to follow up and show them my big disappointment in order to have our rooms.
Other families were offered some drinks for waiting but not us because maybe we are not English and despite speaking French didn’t help us. It’s a shame that one personnel can tarnish the image of the whole staff.

The bar/restaurant is convenient and decently priced. The hotel is also secure, as you will need to be buzzed in past a certain time of night.
Bathrooms in rooms that are accessible (i.e. for guests with wheelchair or limited mobility) are great.
All rooms for guests in our stay were a good size and were clean. Just be mindful that the showers in rooms that are not accessible are a little narrow and the tub floor is raised above the bathroom floor more than we expected. The door of the shower only covers half the length of the shower and does not extend.

The lobby area was very nice and renovated. Most of the staff were very kind and accommodating.
There was one staff member who was less than helpful. We asked to see if we could check in early with another staff member, and they told us a room would be ready around 1:30/2 (normal check-in is at 3). We came back around then, and nothing was ready, so we hung out in the lobby and had drinks. At 2:45, I asked again about a room and they still told me it wasn’t ready (I’m thinking, will 15 minutes really make a difference between it being ready or not?) Luckily another staff member came over and offered to upgrade us and was very attentive and accommodating.
Another bummer about the property was that the room was a little dirty and even at its lowest setting, the A/C didn’t work well.

Dinner was sharing style small plates, very tasty and varied. Reasonable price, similar to rest of Bordeaux.
Gym clean and everything working.
Most staff spoke English and breakfast staff were very helpful.
Efficient lifts.
Kids menu and bar drinks overpriced, flat beer and some bar staff unfriendly, bar often unmanned.
Water in gym not replenished and a floor mat would be helpful for stretching/floor workout.
Room a little small with 2 kids but we managed.
No bath.

Facility was great, it was close to the city center.
There was a smell at thr entance of the room. Such as wet cloth or something else. Room was clean but every time we entered the room that smell hit us.

Private parking garage (called "Metpark 8 Mai 1945") is just next to hotel (entry is on back side od hotel). On entry you press "Visitour" and they scan you license plates (so no any paper ticket). Go on 1st floor and follow signs Novotel (easy to folow, there is min 10 direction signs). You pass 2 doors and you are in cafe garden of hotel, so from car to reception max 30m. When you want to go to garage, again you press Visitor and type registration plates and open door toward garage. When you want to exit, just come to exit, it will say how much to pay, just put card on contactless and gate is open. Very modern garage and very clean, also centrally located so price is adequate to what you get.

Price of garage (it is not hotel garage) is 24e/day. No any discount for hotel guests, at least 10% or anything, just as a show that hotel did something for their guests since they don't have parking for their guests.

We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel. Just a short tram ride from the main city centre, it provided all we expected of a city hotel. The room was restful, spacious and well maintained, and the hotel had many extra facilities and services. We would stay here again.

The male receptionist greeted us warmly, spoke good english. The room is spacious for a city accommidation. The toilettries, Rituals are very nice.
The staff at the restaurant could be a bit more friendly. Not really very accommodating specially when we said we just wanted drinks and small bites. He deposited us outside the restaurant and was not really welcoming.

Very kind staff, provided everything we required. Room was spacious for a family, we were two adults, a toddler and a baby and were comfortable. Room was a good temperature.
Breakfast was amazing, very good value for money.
The dinner was a bit expensive and I didn’t like the tapas concept, but the Grand Cru wine selection was wonderful. Location was good and easy to access main sightseeing areas.
Hotel adapted for kids with books and a colouring corner that my toddler really enjoyed.
Overall I’m likely to come back to this hotel if I visit Bordeaux again.
Nothing major, I didn’t like the concept of the restaurant for dinner but the food itself was quite good.
Also I wish the TVs in the room had Airplay.

Good location, but service was disappointing. I was required to pay for breakfast in the dining area before eating, even though checkout was the next day, and this was handled awkwardly and unprofessionally. Overall, the staff seemed inexperienced and unpolished, and situations that should have been handled discreetly and professionally were not, which made the overall experience uncomfortable.
