We booked very last minute online, because our trip went a bit different than expected. We were welcomed by a really nice man that even upgraded our room because a better one was still available. Everything was very clean and comfy. The location is perfect: walking distance from everything you need in the city center. We also loved the breakfast!

Perfectly located to explore the city. The hotel provided many local food suggestions that were great. The rooms are a nice size and very clean. They have been modernized and it's all been very well taken care of. I'd happily stay here again on return and would recommend it.

The location was amazing- just a short walk to the historic centre, close to restaurants and amenities . Kudos to Frank who went out of his way to make 2 sweaty English cyclists welcome and having a completely secure place to store our bikes as well as great recommendations for places to eat. The rooms were really comfortable and despite it being an incredibly hot night I slept like a baby! If we are ever lucky enough to revisit Caen then we would definitely stay here again. Merci pour tous Frank!
Wish we could have stayed longer!

Good central location. Breakfast was very good value for money. The booking was as we requested and excellent value.
Information on parking. The email came too late so we could not plan. We had a small camper so height restriction an issue for some car parks.

Lovely hotel : the welcome from staff second to none : clean and tidy
Handy little supermarket opp
Great location for getting about be it bus 2mins away or train station 10 mins away for Bayeaux 20 mins by train
Get to the d/day beaches on the no 12 express bud 30 mins express or Caen memorial museum on the no 2 / 20mins away
A must visit never spent 5hrs in a museum before in my life ..excellent
Preload yr bus tickets ..1/60 a trip
Lots of restaurants and shops 5 mins away …plus a very very very lively selection of bars round the corner
I’m not being paid for this …though I should be ??
A little noisy perhaps and busy during the night/early hours fri/Sat if your room is facing the road with a night time food server /so loud voices expected ….its opp so windows closed /still a good nights sleep ??
Would be nice to have maybe one or two English channels on the TV …sky news etc for those not fluent in French ?
Will be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hotel owner, was very friendly and very helpful. He answered all my questions and went way above and beyond anything I expected.
The bed is pretty far and of course the rooms are small, but you’re in Europe and all the rooms are smiling in Europe

The hotel is centrally located and it was impressively clean. I gave it top marks in part because of the incredible young desk clerk who worked the evening of August 7, 2025. (I'm sorry that I didn't ask his name.) He could teach a master class on hospitality and customer service. He was patient with my limited French and gave me information in English as needed. He recommended a good restaurant within walking distance. And he had a friendly and kind demeanor that every traveler would appreciate. The hotel room was spacious and very comfortable. It's not "fancy," but it's really quite nice. The bed was good and I slept well. And I really appreciated the fan in the room; the room would have felt too warm for my comfort level without it.
This is not the hotel's fault. I wish I could have enjoyed the breakfast the next morning, but breakfast isn't served until 7:00 a.m. I had to leave around then to walk to the train station for the next part of my journey.

The hotel is in a convenient part of the old city. Both guys at the reception were 5 star. Very knowledgeable and helpful and a delight to talk to. Trams and buses are very convenient.
The toilet/shower/ bathroom area was tiny. It's all part of being in Europe I suppose. The shower wand fitting was damaged and you felt like a contortionist trying to have a shower having to hold the wand at all times.

A great central location with lots of amenities close by. The supermarket across the road was very handy. The room was big and comfortable with plenty of space. It was nice to have a table and chairs to eat at, plus a nice touch to have the microwave area outside the rooms if we’d wanted to heat up food. The man in reception was helpful on arrival and our room was cleaned for us even though we only stayed 2 nights. It felt safe and was calm and quiet despite being nice and central.
The balcony looked out onto a pretty grim view of backs of hotels and flat roofs- it wasn’t really worth having the balcony. Parking was a bit tricky at first but we worked out we could park for free on the road after 7.30pm and we did always find a space for this so it only cost a few pounds parking fee.

Great hotel, centrally located for all the sights, public transport on the doorstep and comfortable, nicely decorated rooms with everything you need for a night or two. There's a small supermarket directly opposite. The staff gave a warm welcome.
There is some noise from the streets, I imagine mostly at the weekend. It died down after midnight.

The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and it was warm and cozy. Everything was clean and well organized.
The staff were very polite and friendly, which made the experience even more pleasant.
The location is excellent — the tram stop is just a 3-minute walk away. There’s a supermarket nearby, as well as bars and all the main attractions within walking distance.
Highly recommended!
