Pleasant hotel, very well located next to the Medieval area. The facilities are nice and it was nice to enjoy the pool and green area so overall recommended.
We didnβt have breakfast at the hotel and ventured into the city for this as well as for the other meals.
It is a fair walk from the train station and public transport is limited to get to and from there or into the new part of town.
The staff were fine, the lady at the check out was very nice. Just for improvement, the towels and lounge chairs were limited at the pool but this is only a small thing. Also the staff didnβt really know about the bus to the airport and where the stop was which would generally be something you would expect they could help with.

I think the access to the rooms could be better, but surely they have more accessible rooms for people with disabilities - we had to go through small flights of stairs to get there. We used the pool, which was great because it was sweltering! A bonus point for the hotel is that it provides glass bottles for us to fill with our water, from a free fountain at the reception. Great for sustainability!
Breakfast was good, but not great, and set up in a bit of a chaotic setting. They had some gluten free options for my husband, who is intolerant, which was a plus.

The location was adequate, only 5 minutes from Carcassonne old town. The breakfast was good, although choice was limited and no hot water for tea! Bed decent, and shower as well. Overall just average, nothing special. Looks like a motel with overhaul long overdue.
Value for money very poor. I found the hotel average, however priced too steep. I would not recommend a stay here as you can find hotels just as close to the old town at a cheaper price. Or stay in the new town, the walk is only 20 minutes and one day for the castle is plenty. Just my opinion..

We really loved this hotel! The staff did an excellent job β everyone was very professional and helpful. Everything was very clean, and both the room and the bathroom were excellent: spacious, comfortable, and well maintained. The food in the restaurant was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the breakfasts. Parking was convenient, with two spaces available for electric vehicle charging. Sometimes non-electric cars occupied the charging spots, but we still managed to charge our car without any problems.
One thing to keep in mind: you need to book a table in the restaurant for dinner in advance. We didnβt know this and missed out on a table, but the staff kindly organized a lovely dinner for us in our room.
The only downside for us was that the heating was a bit too strong, and the air conditioning worked more like a fan, so the room felt quite stuffy at night. We ended up opening the window to sleep more comfortably

We stayed at 8 hotels during our trip, mostly 4 star and one 3 star. This hotel was billed as a 4 star property but really a 3 star. No shampoo in rooms, no water glasses, no fridge. Even our 3 star hotel had shampoo/conditioner and water glasses. We had a disappointing experience with the restaurant/bar staff member so wouldnβt use them further for any food or beverage during our 6 day stay.
The room was a good value, comfortable and had a great view. Breakfast available as well as dinner, both at an extra cost, but convenient. Within walking distance of the castle. The garden courtyard was beautiful.
Air conditioning didnβt seem to work so we had to keep the window open at night.

All was great. However only if we have to be really picky, we wished for a slightly bigger room. We family of 4 could fitted in the room ok. However our luggage were little bigger since the duration of our entire trip is a bit longer.
Yet English speaking stuff were wonderful and very helpful. Our room had minibar stocked with some soft drinks, which were offered complimentary as well. This was a pleasant surprise we were not expecting. Good selection of breakfast with great taste. Free private parking was offered even after the check out time a little longer. Thanks to this kind gesture, we could enjoyed exploring Citadel on foot after the check out. Great location just outside Citadel with free ample private parking is a true gem to find. Complimentary water refill available near the reception. We were very satisfied with the standard and service offered. Highly recommended.
