the hotel was located well for the railway station but not so easy to follow on sat nav.
the room was ok but the bathroom was tired with the shower door not fitting properly and the drain was broken. the tiles had mould on them and the towels were on the small side.
we paid nearly 200 euros for bed and breakfast which we thought was overpriced compared to the luxury hotel we stayed in the days prior for a similar price.
the breakfast was mediocre , the glasses were not clean and the tables really cramped so you bumped into the person sitting next to you when trying to sit down.

The location is perfect for going on foot both to the train station and to the old city. Also, trams are passing nearby.
The room is good size, especially for single occupancy. There is a kettle for tea and an iron, which I both appreciated.
I selected the hotel for the possibility to go to the swimming pool after the long hours of work (it was a business travel). Sure, the swimming pool is in another partner hotel (3* only) and you have to walk 50 m. But hey, I do not have a swimming pool at home and I am used to drive to one daily. Thus, going 50 m on foot was not a big deal. Also, the pool was open until 10 pm and had other facilities such as saunas and jacuzzy.
My colleagues, in other rooms facing the street/train station, told me that they were disturbed by the noise from the trains. But, I could not complain, having a room facing to the other side, toward some houses backyards. Sure, I did not have "a view", but you can't have everything.

We had a pretty frosty reception(May be a language thing) and had to leave our bags as were told room wouldnโt be ready until 3pm ( it says from 2on the siteโฆso need to update. When we returned to check in we had a very welcoming gentleman who made up for the initial coldness. The spa is a walk away from the hotel, dark dingy and not very welcomingโฆneeds a bit of an update.
The area is close to the center but itโs not a great area at night.

The magnetic cards used to open the doors demagnetize 2 times a day and need to be recharged. This is annoying especially when you stay 8 days and almost every time you go up to the 3rd floor you find out you cannot open the door and need to get down again.
The swimming pool (located in another partner hotel) seemed to me agressively treated with some chemicals (not chlorine, according to the smell). I only used it in the first day, then I refrained from going.

Perhaps because it's just 5 minutes away from the train and tram stations, I feel a little tremor while I was on the bed. Also, there is currently some restoration of the faรงade going on, so noise was loud from 8 am till 6 pm. They do provide ear plugs, but why if one has other options.
Also, a staff was very blunt with us as we were early (11 am instead of 3 pm) Instead of kindly explaining that the room wasn't ready, which I understand, he just took our luggage and said come back at 3 pm. It is a male with white hair and glasses.
Also, perhaps because my room was facing the side where it is renovating, my Wifi was also bad. Only my bathroom and near the door has Wifi.
My stay was not as pleasant and I would probably find something else next time..
