The breakfast at restaurant 77 was great and the employees there were amazing. It’s also very close to the Gare Lyon Part Dieu.
It looks and feels like a motel. Really small room and weird shower head. I don’t think it’s a good value for the price.

Breakfast was fabulous, it is served in the adjacent restaurant and the waiter was very efficient and friendly.
Room was clean. Comfortable beds.
Shower was fine.
We were cold; only one vent above the entry room door, no ventilation nor heat in the bathroom. We visited during January and it took forever to get some heat in the bedroom.
No space around the bed, I could not get my small size luggage to fully open on the floor.

Good location by the train station. 5 minutes walk away. Second room was clean and comfortable but had to change as first smelt strongly of smoke. Breakfast in a weirdly dark restaurant next door - cold buffet was good for the price. Walk to the old town around 40 mins, best to head across from the northern end of the station as nicer streets to walk down.
Had to change rooms as first one smelled strongly of smoke - butts outside the window suggested a continuous issue. Annoying as advertise the hotel as non-smoking. Had to push for a change as said they were fully booked but rooms still showing in booking.com.

The nice staff. The location. The breakfast was excellent.
The maintenance of the building is disappointing. I stayed there right after the renovations and it was wonderful. This time, we had to change rooms because the bunk bed screws were coming loose from the wall. In the second room, the bathroom lights were flickering, but we were too tired to report it. I sincerely hope all of this has been dealt with as I have always enjoyed this hotel in the past.

Approx 6 mims walk to Lyon Part Dieu, and comfortable for a 1 night stay. The receptionist/night manager was very helpful and welcoming. Kettle and microwave in reception with water dispenser, very useful
Room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke on out arrival late i the evening, had to sleep with the window open which then allowed road noise in. Hairdryer has to be requested at Reception with a deposit paid for max. 1 hour use, quite inconvenient when multiple guests need to use it
