The bedroom heating was not working. We informed reception, and only after three phone calls was a technician sent. He confirmed there was a problem but did not resolve it. We requested a room change and were forced to go down to reception to repeat the entire issue. After multiple back-and-forths, we were finally offered another room on the same floor. We had to pack and move our luggage ourselves; no assistance was offered. Service at the Crayon Bar and Restaurant was extremely unprofessional. We waited one hour and twenty minutes just to receive a drink. Breakfast was chaotic and poorly organized, with food crowded together in a messy presentation. The selection consisted mostly of ultra-processed items, with little to no fresh food available.

We had a very comfortable stay at Radisson Blu Lyon. The room was spacious and easily accommodated a sofa bed, which worked well for us. Having two toilets was a real bonus and made our stay much more convenient. We also enjoyed a great view of the city, which added to the overall experience. The hotel was located literally next to Westfield Shopping Mall and 10 mins walk to Gare Part Dieu station, which makes it super convenient.

If room slippers had been provided, it would have been even better, but this was not a deal breaker.

We packed our luggage in the Junior Suite and went to the front desk to check out, simultaneously checking into the Chambre Standard for the second night. The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly; he offered us for the second night free of charge, allowing us to return to our original room. This saved them cleaning time, and we were more comfortable. We were truly grateful to him.

However, in the evening, something unpleasant happened. We went to the front desk to get an invoice, and the lady there impatiently asked why we were still staying in the Junior Suite, even though our reservation was for the Chambre Standard. She demanded we pay for the upgrade, and despite my husband and I explaining the situation to her separately, she insisted that we couldn't stay in the Junior Suite. I never imagined this would happen at an international hotel chain. I'm furious. I reiterated to her that I wasn't asking for a free extension in the junior suite; it was just that her colleague's friendliness was ruined. This experience has made me seriously question the professionalism of hotel management. In fact, we just stayed three nights at the same brand, in Maldives, from January 7th to 10th, and had a fantastic experience. However, in Lyon, I felt insulted like never before. I hope the hotel management can give me a formal explanation. Thank you.

The hotel has a great location, with a large shopping mall nearby.

The hotel’s parking lot appeared to be under renovation, which made getting in and out quite inconvenient, and the driveways were very narrow. Since my car is on the larger side, maneuvering was even more challenging. What confused me the most was that the in‑room coffee machine didn’t work. I called the front desk, and after asking how I was using it, they apologized and explained that it was a very simple, older machine with weak pressure, so it wasn’t dispensing coffee. They said they would send someone to replace it, but no one ever came before I checked out. The front desk didn’t mention it again, and since this was my first and only stay here, I don’t plan to return and to recommend.

It is a very nice hotel with a modern design and amazing panoramic views. Close to the station and next to the shopping center. The staff was very helpful when we needed to change rooms. Special thanks to Camilla at the reception, who wholeheartedly wanted to help us and gave us the best option. Also a big thank to Thomas and Nicolas, who helped us.

it is quite far from the city center.The panorama from the room is great, but the windows were terribly dirty and spoiled the view. Our triple room actually turned out to be a double suite. The third bed in the room was not ready. We asked for it to be made. They spread out a sofa that was on the floor above. It was not a bed. We had to change rooms.
