We like to use Ibis Hotele whenever possible and this is an exception. The location is quite near the Port, the receptionist was quite friendly however avoid rooms like 508.
We had to sleep with Window open as the smell was terrible.

Very good location, really central. Plenty of restaurants, cafes, public transport on your doorstep. Great breakfast, you won't be hungry. I would stay again if in Marseille. WiFi worked well, unsecured as they all seem to be, so you might want a VPN for security.
The lift is awkward enough, and tight on space. I passed the entrance to the hotel a few times before I spotted it as there was scaffolding in place outside.

The room was clean; however, the carpets throughout the hotel were truly filthy.
My room had windows which were glazed over in some weird pattern cover from top to bottom. I could not open the windows or see anything but shadows from outside. It felt eery. All the paint and carpet colourings were garish and clashing. It was the opposite of calming. It felt nightmarish.

The breakfast, while did not look anything special was actually very good. Nice coffee and good quality ingredients for the price. Nice breads and cereals. Could have done with more fresh fruit.
The room was quite depressing. Very scuffed walls, bathroom was good, nice shower, the bed was weird, it had this topper like thin mattress on top of a base. Actually was not that uncomfortable but not sure why they wouldn't have a basic full mattress instead. Nice view from window but the room itself was a strange colour and just very run down. Also the carpet on the stairs was so dirty. Don't understand why they would not clean or remove it. Looks disgusting.

Good location for the Vieux Port and the tourist information office. Good breakfast. Rianna was fantastic and went out of her way to help me.
The tiny antique elevator. I fell inside it and hurt myself. If you are young and strong you can take the stairs. I had to change the room for a quiet one and leave open the window to get rid of the musty smell. The bed had those plastic sheets under the bedding and I woke up sweating in spite of the air conditioning. Bathroom was good but they did not clean my room - not a problem for two nights. You need to ask for a hairdryer at the desk.

The hotel has a very good location, near the old harbor of Marseille. The staff is very friendly and helped me a lot. Even if I had to leave the hotel during the night, they invited me for a coffee and it was great.

The staff from the reception was amazing, changing the accommodation when I required for a bigger, among others solicitations.
The breakfast was perfect.
The size and the decoration of the accommodation is very good.
The ascenseur was broken.
The hack at restroom was unleveled, what results in several inconveniences.
The air conditioning doesn't work definitely, strengthen us to use a portable heart disposed as improvise.
They don't have any corkscrew for your wine.
The fire alarm went off for no reason, causing apprehension among the guests who gathered at reception to find out what was happening, since there is no intercom communication between the rooms and reception, and my wife was getting dressed to leave in case it was a real emergency.

The location is really good. Cannot expect better location with this price. I am surprised to have a standard room furnished inside a super old building.
Some rooms are not directly accessible via the elevator. The building also feels like a maze. But it's a super old building at an old district, so you should not expect much convenience anyway.

Super central position. Close to everything by foot and close to the metro if you do not want to walk.Nice breakfast included in the price. Close to tourist info office.
The staff was very accomodating, I asked if they could move me in an internal room (less noisy)and they did.
For an Ibis, the beds weren't comfortable, and above all, it was very noisy. You could hear the tram coming and going until 1 a.m. and again early in the morning. The windows would need to be insulated. The cleanliness was barely adequate.
