Location and the lady who checked me in was very friendly and helpful.
I booked a double bed and before my stay I double checked they could accommodate this as the booking said they could more me to a single room if they had higher demand for doubles from couples, which is not on when I'm paying for a double room - it should be on a first come first served basis. However, when I arrived they half met my request by putting two single beds together - one with a soft mattress and with either a firm mattress, which had a squeaky base. I was on the 4th floor and the lift was out of order but they did carry my bags up for me. In the evening I called reception for room service (there was a menu in the room) but I was told by reception that there was no room service and they did not know why there was a menu in the room. I was advised to order food myself and come and collect it from downstairs (bearing in mind the lift is not working and I was in my pjs with wet hair). I ended up not having dinner. The next day a different person on reception told me they do room service by placing the order with the restaurant across the road and they did not know why I was advised incorrectly.

Unfortunately, the elevator was broken our entire stay. We were told at check in it was broken but someone was coming the next day to repair. Never got repaired so for 2 days we walked up 6 flights.

Our room was beatiful and had a great view, spacious, clean, beds were huge. The bathroom was pretty with lovely Loccitane toiletries.
Location could not have been better, the view from our balcony was directly on the harbour.
The breakfast was a joke, the worst and with the smallest choice I've had in any hotel in my life. Some of the staff (not all!) Looked like they were doing us a massive favour for just sitting there, again I've never encountered such attitude anywhere else.

During our stay the lift was broken for three of the four days and our room was on the third floor. This was very difficult with my elderly mother. I understand it was outside the hotel’s control but I think they could have done more to get an emergency repair quicker.

Exactly as advertised - centrally located hotel with spacious room and a good breakfast. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Easy to find and close to lots of public parking options as well as a metro stop.
Two suggestions: 1) "Soft" door closing mechanisms for the hotel room doors (every time our neighbor's door slammed shut we jumped); and, 2) Pre-cut bread on the breakfast buffet ... there were too many customers with colds / flu touching the bread while cutting it themselves.

The carpet in the hallways needs replacing (stained) and dirty looking. The heavily scented cleaning products gave me asthma every time I walked through the hall.

The facilities were very basic, with no natural light, as sunlight could not enter the room. In the morning, the cathedral is right outside the window, making it impossible to rest or sleep in.

Perfect location and not too loud, although the church bell was annoying in the mornings.
At first I didn’t get a room with a bathtub which I asked for in advance. When I arrived they explained that bathtub was only for premium rooms (on the site it’s indicated otherwise), but agreed to change the room, in a way as if it was a favor for me (which actually was not). Finally, the closing stuff in the bathtub was not functioning, and they fixed it only the next day.
