Art deco style great
Even deco coffee / tea cups etc for sale okay in lobby
Did not like the sofa / chairs color in the lobby !
Better to keep complete art deco style in lobby & outside simple, no chairs outside or metal man pointing to entrance

Stayed there in 2016 and loved the βboutiqueβ artistic , quaint style of hotel. We had a lovely room with interesting furniture and lovely artwork and it was very roomy. The location was excellent and we could walk to everything .
That is why I came back this time with my husband. It was β tiredβ and it felt like it hadnβt had an upgrade at all since I last stayed there and we had a tiny room and bathroom . The lobby was not set up either for breakfast or just sitting. There are works going on outside the hotel and the street was closed at one end which did not lend itself to feeling like it was a nice environment ( not the fault of the hotel of course) as there were a couple of drunks hanging around there .

The location of this hotel is great. Only 50 meters from the seaside. There are a lot of restaurants nearby.
The door to the bathroom didn't close, there was a gap between the door and the wall. If you stay with family it's disappointing...
We asked the staff to fix it, they did it. But anyway there is no lock in the bathroom door.
Also there is no chance to hang up all your towels in the bathroom. There are no towel hooks in it.. that's why you need to keep all towels on the bath side or on the sink.

The location
the service staff was not at the right level, they behaved with arrogance and not with the proper attention towards us, for the sole reason that we did not speak French, but communicated in English, their behavior towards customers who speak French was different. this is very discriminatory and a disgusting attitude

Well decorated, clean, comfortable bedroom and bathroom. Could not fault room, had everything for a very comfortable stay. In a perfect location.
Reception area unwelcoming and cluttered, stairs and landings full of stuff. Lighting could be brighter in stairwells and corridors, too dull and uninviting. Put off ordering breakfast in hotel as tables set out in reception.

Friendly helpful staff. Very clean throughout. Plenty of lights in the bedroom. Fridge and safe in bedroom. Generous breakfast (16β¬ I think), with well-staffed table service (unusual these days) and with staff frequently offering further items to eat - e.g. eggs, coffee top ups. I liked the 1920s style of architecture combined with modern comforts and some fun decor. Excellent location, just round the corner from a main pedestrian street full of shops and restaurants, yet not noisy at night. Near the sea front and not too far to walk to Vieux Nice. Less than ten minutes walk to the tram stop for the journey to and from the airport.
Nothing much to say here. The swags that hold the curtains open could have been supplied with larger hooks so one didn't have to tie knots!
