Location. Parking. Breakfast.
So loud all night with music opposite the hotel.
The water came out black in the sink. We were told this was normal and nothing was done.
The room wasn’t ready for a family, we had to ask for sheets and towels for the fold out bed.
The window in the room wouldn’t close properly and lock to the outside, staff again said this was normal and nothing was done.

Novotel was centrally located in Nimes and not far from the train station. The room was pleasant even with 3 of us in there. The service from staff was good, friendly. The breakfast was good, lots of choice.
The bar prices were too high.

Excellent location, a 3 minute walk to the amphitheater and secure parking (16 euros per night). Perfect t for us as we stayed only one night to see a show at the amphitheater.
Staff were very professional and happy to assist.
Breakfast was fine, a mixture of cold buffer and hot bacon and sausages accompanied by a nice coffee machine.
Beds were very comfortable and the room was large.
Our room overlooked the square which was noisy as a group of people were shouting and playing football until late but we turned the air con unit on which almost drowned them out.

Breakfast: full of flies on the food some of them putting eggs. We saw one on the honey, told the staff, and they just removed the honey but left some larvae’s and placed the honey back in.

It's OK for one night if you are in town, but no more!
The hotel is really outdated, it needs a complete refurbishment. The walls are in bad condition, doors and other things are also old.
The sofa bed was very unconfortable and old.
The curtains still smell to smoke from the times that it was allowed to smoke in the rooms. They should change them URGENTLY.

This is a purpose built hotel but functions extremely well. The location is good although the adjacent park is home to a few less fortunate people.
The room size is good and the bed comfortable. The shower worked well, it is over bath if that’s a problem to you.
Staff were helpful and the underground parking worked well. We had a fairly large vehicle and manoeuvring was fine.
Good value for money for a couple of days. Plenty of restaurants up the pedestrian area opposite.
Nothing to say, just to repeat the hotel advice; drop your bags before parking unless travelling light.

No air conditioning. I was told at reception that it had not been turned on yet, but it was over 30 deg and sunny outside. I asked why their website said the rooms were air conditioned but in actual fact were not at some times of the year, perhaps 30 deg and sunny isn't hot enough.

Helpful reception staff. We appreciated their restaurant recommendations. Nice big room. Useful to be near the station for ongoing journey.
No info in the room eg. Breakfast times, availability of food at other times. A number of items were not available from the menu when we ate in the restaurant one evening. But friendly, efficient server.
Room rather dark as small window in relation to room size not helped by tree outside window.

They had crib for baby which is a big plus !
All night reception
There is carpet in the rooms, which sadly doesn’t forgive stains . You can see it’s been there a long time and it makes the room looks less clean .
The bed and pillows was quite hard , and the sheets not the best quality. We didn’t have a very good rest.

At last a real city hotel! It was a right place at the right time:)
The ac was too strong so we opened the window but there was too much noise coming from the children’s area in the park, even at midnight we could hear children screaming and parents trying to make them go home, sweet but a bit too late even for summer nights.

The hotel is very conveniently situated.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was very good and the provision of two coffee machines was excellent - other hotels should copy this.
Getting stuck in the garage; I used the room card to open the exit, put my room card into the box as requested, but my husband didn’t manage to negotiate the rather tight bend to exit. No exit for the car without the room card and no way of getting back upstairs to the hotel without it either. I managed to lean through the exit to phone for the exit to be opened. We did wonder how often this happens…………..

The location was great and the bed comfortable.
I m usually not difficult but here I disliked verything. The building was in construction; the room was very old with a dirty rug and broken shower. I paid on purpose more for comfort and it s way worse than a 1 or 2 stars hotel. In addition, parking was twice more expensive than the city one literally across the street or I should say, under the hotel. Very disappointed, will never go again and do not recommend
