Pleasing calm decor and friendly helpful staff. There was an electric jug and mugs in the room so you could make a cup of tea (but BYO teabags). Great breakfast. Near the station and the important places to visit.
I couldn't find a switch for the extractor fan in the shower room. Maybe it's been rewired lately and this was not connected. There was a little mould on the shower room ceiling

The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. (Unfortunately, we were there during an unusual heat wave, and there is no AC, but that is not the hotel's fault!) The breakfast was very nice with a variety of options, including boiled eggs, granola, yogurt, dried fruits and nuts, in addition to the usual bread and pastries. The hotel is in a great location between the train station and the center of town. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Friendly welcome to this traditional small hotel. Good sized room and shower. I have slept in semi-timbered bedrooms before, but I have never had a semi-timbered shower! Very secure bike storage. Good breakfast. Near to the station. Easy access to the centre.

Really quaint hotel. Greeted by wonderful team, extremely helpful. Great use of goods in the dining room. Never seen so many condiments. The hotel is 250yrs old so expect some areas to show which adds to enjoyment of staying here. Odd shaped room, slightly sloping floors. Lovely spiral staircase. 5 minutes away from station and all attractions. Will be recommending to friends and hope to stay again.

Location is perfect just between the train station and the centre. I saw complaints about stairs, but in my experience it was manageable. Very good value for money.
Overall cleaning was good but with some issues, and there were yellow spots on pillows. Fluffy rugs that collect dust, which may be very sensitive if you have an allergy.

The people. The lovely, quaint surroundings. What I loved and will always love is Rouen. The breakfast was pretty good too.
I stayed two nights. The staff all leave at 10pm. They return at 6 the next morning. Between 10pm and 6am they will not reply to texts and all phone calls go directly to voicemail. The first night was raining cold and windy, clothes are wet from walking 20 minutes from the bus station in the driving rain. I arrived at 11pm. My shoes and socks were soaked. And my top floor room had no heat and no heater; the radiator didn’t work (I was told they were not allowed to turn it on by the government), and the one sheet and hospital blanket on the bed did nothing to warm. I texted and called through the night (11:00, midnight, 03:00, 03:30, by 05:00 I had given up). I was always polite and appreciative. They never replied to texts or calls. Terrible customer service. I did not sleep that night and it spoiled my full first day in (rainy) Rouen (wet shoes I couldn’t dry beside the radiator). The second day, I discover the proprietors are friendly people. They provided a thick blanket and a small floor heater which did the trick. Nice people, but below average facilities, and poor proprietors who leave the guests to fend for themselves (especially when they are pleading for assistance). Sorry Hotel Morand, but I’m looking out for the next wet, exhausted traveller.

The hotel is central, at walking distance of all major attractions of Rouen - the arts museum and the “Secq des Tournelles” museum are opposite, the old market, the cathedrals and the horologe are also close. The location of the Hotel is excellent, within walking distance of the old city and the tourist sites. It is a historic hotel, so it is an old building. The reception area and dining room/lounge are quaint and half-timbered and you feel as if you have entered a museum! The breakfast for which we paid extra was adequate, but not exceptional. The room we stayed in was comfortable and clean.
There is no lift to the rooms on the upper floors so it is a bit of a struggle lugging heavy luggage up the spiral staircase, however, the receptionist did offer to help us. The rooms are small.

We loved this hotel and the owner was very nice. The room and bathroom were big! There was parking in a nearby garage for our rental car--super convenient. We had breakfast at the hotel every morning and it was very good.
There is no elevator, which was not at all a problem for us, but something to be aware of if you can't do stairs.
