We had to move 3 times as the first 2 rooms were unacceptable but eventually we were in a room that was not too noisy and didn't smell. The bed was comfy. The garden area and outside cocktail bar was very nice.
The first room had a very bad smell of drains, the second room there was loud scratching noises in the roof from pigeons making it impossible to sleep. The bath towels were the size of a hand towel. All the rooms are very dated, not very clean, worn out furnishings, no tea or coffee facilities int he room which I would expect for the price. I felt it was very overpriced for what you got.

Great location near the lovely waterfront and 2 minutes to the centre. Good restaurant in the garden, really nice to be able to sit under the trees with our dog and with good food. Secure easy parking and friendly receptionists.
A little dated, good building but a little redecorating would make it great. Breakfast wasn’t great quality for France. Didn’t seem to be a lift.

no lift! No refrigerator, not enough sockets, in need of redecoration, everything is worn out, bed was lumpy with age, not much breakfast, need to be out of room by 11, staff are keen to see you go so they can mop the floors.

staff very pleasant and helpful. breakfast excellent. restaurant excellent. location and car park excellent
hotel tired and in need of refurbishment. walls damaged and neither repaired or repainted : paint pealing off the ceiling. mould on bathroom fittings. bathroom door stained and obviously not cleaned on some considerable time.
wifi connected in room but poor quality meant is was useless.
sound insulation extremely poor - could listen to neighbours telephone conversations - room 3 above spend most of afternoon and evening scraping metal furniture across tiled floor and started again at 4am. not conducive to good nights sleep.

The location and the air conditioning.
It is half renovated and half in disrepair. We told the desk staff we didn’t have soap or toilet paper and they didn’t even give us a coffee to make up for it. We still had to pay. There was not a single towel bar or toilet paper holder in the bathroom and one window had no curtain. The beds were more like cots. It reminded me of my days staying at youth hostels while backpacking. No elevator and no carpeting in the hallway, just cement. The location is great, if someone would only fix the place up and offer customer service.

The property had an excellent location. Madeleine was so helpful and friendly. The bus from the train station comes right to their front door. The breakfast was also a great value. We really enjoyed the hospitality.
The bathroom was very small but it was still functional.
