Great location, just 10-15 minutes from the main attractions. The room was quite spacious, and the bed was comfortable. It was a bit cold in the room, and we couldn’t figure out how to adjust the temperature. It was a nice touch to receive a pack of traditional Christmas cookies as a gift from the hotel.
It would have been better to have two bottles of water for two people, as we only received one. However, it was great to have a kettle and teabags in the room. The TV had the option to switch to English audio, which was a nice feature.
The staff were sweet and helpful. Overall, a great choice for staying in Strasbourg.

The room was big but that’s because booking.com gave me an upgrade being a Genius member.

- I had a very bad experience as I checked into the room early and one of their female staff members entered into my room without even asking, took a table and left. What if I was naked or changing my clothes?
- When I went down to the front desk, to my shock the front desk lady said, it happened because I checked into early and the staff wasn’t informed. So basically if a guest checks in early, he/she should be at their own risk or not have any private moment coz someone might just barge into your private space. The lady at the front desk said what can i do for you? I have already given you an executive room. NO MA’AM? You did not. I got the executive room because i am a genius member and booking.com gave me that room not you.
- When I asked for the manager, i was told she is not here since it’s the weekend so I need to wait for her till Monday. Wow. Then they connected me to the manager over the phone and to my shock, she too blamed me for an early check in. Additionally , she told me that there was no DND sign, that created a misunderstanding. To put a DND sign would be my decision not yours and not putting an DND sign doesn’t give you the right to barge into my private space. It was clearly an act for miscommunication and carelessness. After a long argument she offered me some wine and an apology. I literally did not like her tone and how casual she was while addressing the issue. Just imagine a man entering a woman’s room instead and the things would have been handled differently.
- The gym was the worst, the smallest i have ever seen in a 4 star hotel (let alone in any hotel), which shows that they are least bothered about fitness. Not even a single dumbbell. Just 2 rods and some plates. Make your own dumbbell. Broken bench seat, no phone and NO WASHROOM IN/AROUND the gym. Like seriously?? What are we paying for then? I think it’s disrespectful towards the guests not to provide facilities, they pay for.

We had a corner room with 2 balconies. It was adorable!!! Very clean. Great proximity to the train station and the Christmas Markets. We travelled to Strasbourg to experience the Christmas markets and the location of this hotel was perfect - just a few minutes' easy walk with luggage from the train station, and an easy stroll in the opposite direction across the canal to the centre of the old town. We did not need to book breakfast at the hotel as there were two bakeries just steps from the door. There are two great lounge areas for later in the night to relax and retreat from the cold. There were lots of people doing the same when we were there, but the spaces never felt crowded. The staff were very friendly and the rooms quiet and comfortable. We needed to book two rooms for our family but the extremely affordable price of this hotel made that a viable option. The bag of Christmas biscuits left as a welcome gift was a nice touch.
The heating was a little hard to regulate at times and the room got quite hot overnight - but opening a window to 0 degrees outside for a little while fixed that.
The lift is tiny and slow - some people might find it tricky with lots of luggage.

The hotel is ideally placed just minutes from the railway station and just a few minutes walk from the town centre and markets. The staff were all excellent. They were helpful and friendly. The rooms were comfortable, well appointed and spotlessly clean.

Few minutes away from the train station this hotel is a very good option to enjoy the city. Outstanding, professional, prompt and courteous front desk and maintenance personnel.
Would've been nice if the room floors were vacuumed daily during my 3-day stay there.

Great location, walking distance to all major attractions, offers private parking place - which is a huge plus for guests traveling by car. The rooms were better, more comfortable, and larger than most of what I had seen anywhere else in French cities that I have been to so far. Nice and historic facility, recently modernized - if you are interested in locations with a soul. Absolutely stellar breakfast. Friendly staff. Totally recommended.

I had a truly wonderful stay at Best Western Plus Monopole Métropole. Everything exceeded my expectations from start to finish. The room was very comfortable, beautifully designed, and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you might need for a relaxing stay.
The location is excellent—perfectly situated for exploring Strasbourg, with easy access to the main attractions, yet still quiet and pleasant. The atmosphere of the hotel is very charming and welcoming.
What really stood out was the staff: incredibly friendly, professional, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality made our stay even more enjoyable.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommended!

ROOM: I believe the previews I read suggested a larger-than-usual room per European standards. It was not - it was typical size (small for a couple) encountered in various European settings. It was clean, just small. Would be great for a solo traveler - it was okay for us (a couple.) BREAKFAST: looked great but didn't partake. Found other offerings in the area. LOCATION: good - easy walk to City Centrre & Petite France areas that we were focused on. Fairly easy to access via driving in by car. Reserved parking available - that's good & good price - best if one has a small car as this is like tradtional European rooms: small space for a car. Like the available water in the pool room. Liked that all of the staff engaged and always helpful.
No major negatives to report. Suggest a revamping of the pool table - it's a great resource to have, but it's well past time for an updating. This is a very nice place, good appointments, stylish, etc... then a beat-up, aged pool table detracts from the charm.
