Good size, dual aspect corner room at the front of the hotel. Parking reasonably priced. Breakfast was average / good for this type of hotel.

The air-con in the room was practically useless - we couldn't get the room cooler than 24.5'C at night, so the room was stifling hot - and, as the room was at the front of the hotel, overlooking a busy road junction, leaving the widows open was not a practical option due to the road noise. Less than 1/3rd of the TV channels on the TV in the room worked. Although the hotel is described as 'city centre', it is, in fact, about a 10-15 minute walk from any amenities. The only bar that was open was basically a stand in the lobby, which was staffed by the receptionist on demand. The choice was small, beer warm and we were served wine that had obviously corked (we returned for a refund). We noticed another 'proper' bar downstairs, but this was curtained off, so I assume that to save staff costs, this was kept closed. Much of the outside areas of the hotel were overgrown with weeds.

Perfect location, short walk from the station and also pretty close to the maritime museum and the harbour front with loads of restaurants, Ice Cream bars etc. Great breakfast room and very friendly staff that let us have a very enjoyable breakfast on the terrace outside.

The air condition that did not work, something that seems to happen regularly. Then it says on booking.com that there is a fitness room, but there isn’t; already since the Corona days. Disappointing that the information has not been updated particularly for those who try to stay fit during their holidays.

Good position, clean, polite front desk staff.

I was given a room facing the street, despite the fact I requested a quiet one. Tourist buses starting, engine at 5 am, delivery trucks, garbage collection at same early hours. Window didn’t fully close (mechanism needs revision). Plus room was right near elevators so I could hear noisy guests waiting or leaving elevators. Air conditioning disabled intentionally. Room temperature reached 27 C at approx 6 pm because of room’s exposure to sun.

Everything was in easy reach and convenient. The staff was friendly, especially the day desk receptionist in the morning, and our superior room met our expectations.

The windows are not very sound-proof, so that the noise from the busy streets around the hotel could be heard. The parking space is limited.

Hotel is centrally located and has a secure carpark, easy access to the port, for those using ferry services. We had a problem with the first room, which was left uncleaned, with dirty towels and very dirty bathroom, which was immediately fixed by very helpful and pleasant frontdesk employee. The new room was ok, there is enough space for luggage and the bathrooms are renovated. Bed were comfortable enough. However, the hotel is not well maintained in general and not suitable for more then 1 night stay. We stayed in multiple hotels on this trip and this was the only disappointing property. I hope this review will help the owners to realise they can do better, especially for the brand this hotel belongs to.

It’s a good hotel. Room spacious. Good bathroom (not so good water pressure in the shower). Good parking in the garage. Good breakfast with real bacon and the small thin pancakes and good coffee. We could sit outside for breakfast, but dog was actually allowed in to the breakfast room. But since the weather allowed, we preferred outside. We arrived an hour early, but the room was already ready for us.

The hotel was maybe a bit further away from the center than we thought, saying it was in city center. The harbor is approximately 1,2 km away and the old town with the walking streets maybe 800 meters away. That’s ok.
