Great breakfast, lovely receptionist on check-in who worked hard to get us a nice dinner reservation. Nice bar, comfortable rooms.

We had a bottle of wine in the bar afterwards. The later receptionist was joined by a male and they proceeded to watch a video loudly on an ipad - it is bad enough when other guests do that - but the staff? This is really inconsiderate when guests are trying to enjoy a quiet drink.

It’s conveniently located next to the metro subway and buses right outside the hotel doors. A decent 20 minute walk from the major train station Gare de Lyon Part Dieu. This was perfect for bouncing around during my travels around and catching Olympic Games. Definitely a no frills kinda place but still nice enough to make one feel comfortable.

I can’t say there was anything I didn’t like. I got exactly my money’s worth for a classic double room.

The hotel is simple and very clean. It's best feature is being literally next to the Tram and Metro, being very easy to move around the city. Also the city park is nearby, which is great for some walks in nature.

It had literally almost nothing. Just shower gel/shampoo and tea. The tea was to be served in normal school canteen glasses that make it impossible to actualy drink it warm. The worst for me it was actually the bed, it completly sunk, I slept using the corner of the beds or else my lower back couldn't deal with it.

Staff are very helpful and friendly, from prior to arriving to guide us for parking (note: for coming with car better ask hotel how to park, a bit complicated indeed), until checking out. Location is strategic, only few steps to access Metro and Tram.

The room access key are many times inactive by itself, we must reactivate them back down to the reception.

Location excellent in so far as connections to public transportation. Front desk wonderful, Amyeric deserves a big raise and a medal for all the complications he handled graciously.

Immediate neighborhood not so great, noisy, devoid of charm. Instructions by GPS to reach garage and garage itself would be laughable if not terrifying, as well as lack of any parking space near front of hotel to unload. We wound up on the tram tracks and the sidewalk, and had to make the wonderful LouAnne at the front desk get in the car with us to escort us to the parking lot entrance. Could all be avoided with better instructions. There was another person at the front desk with same complaints. Room fine, except we did not have any water one day and no hot water another night for a four night stay. The first day the parking lot computer was down and our car was hostage until the next day. Ignore all instructions on metal signs as to which passcodes to use, as they are wrong. Overall, a decent enough hotel for the price; very reasonable discounted parking. Might consider staying there again.

parking is like a james bond film. You are trying to park in a private parking garage where the password must be entered twice. and extra 16-20eur cost. they dont give even 1 bottle of water. They left empty bottles in the rooms (probably 100s of people used) to use, from the water dispenser in the corridor. boys in reception doesnt know english.
