The hotel is in a peaceful surrounding with olive trees and other trees. The hotel is very clean. There is a nearby bus station to the airport and to the city center there are two swimming pools which are very clean. The staff is very helpful. The breakfast buffet serves cold cuts' cheese fruits and vegetables and cakes great coffee machine and even freshly squeezed orange juice. There are also cereals and boiled eggs. Very peaceful place although it is near a busy road and a gas station. You can hear chickens and goats. Every room has a terrace with a table and chairs. On arrival you get 2 free water bottles. There is a supermarket and bakeries and pizza near the hotel.
To add warm items to the breakfast buffet. A kettle in room with tea and coffee will be nice.

though the ramp was OK - a goods lift will enhance the property.

I really enjoyed my stay but the downsides of this property were that the breakfast could have been better, it was very basic. I really wished there was a power socket next to the bed. And the rooms weren't very well sound proofed, it did get quite loud when there were guests about. All in all I can't complain though!

Nice pool, daily cleaning of rooms and pool, parking in front of the hotel. The staff is very helpful and kind (arranged the airport transfer and called a taxi for us when needed). The bus station is very near (20min to the center) and you can buy bus tickets (€1.20 instead of €2 you pay on the bus) in the supermarket right next to the hotel. We also enjoyed fresh orange juice during breakfast and the nature around us.

Breakfast was really good with a lot of options - no complaints there. The pool area was excellent for our use - pool was big enough to have a real swim and water was clean. There are many trees for shade when you need it in the height of summer. The only negative thing in July are the cicadas though. Really loud with all those trees but fortunately they stop at night. If cicadas are a problem for you, I wouldn't go in July! Our room was basic, but had everything we needed - a good shower, a fridge and a/c so all in all good value for the money. Also, there was a city bus stop right outside the hotel so getting to town center and back was easy (get bus tickets from the supermarket next door)
The hotel could do with some activity room, like a pool table or ping pong. We had teenagers with us so they were a bit bored because it was too hot to walk around and explore so an activity indoors would've been great. For an adults-only vacation, not a big deal.

We watched every evening sunset from the bar balcony, it was amazing. Very beautiful atmosphere. We especially like that this hotel wasn't crowded and there was always a lot of space at the pool area, restaurant and bar. This place is suitable for people who don't like people. ? Cleaners did their job very well. Very fast service anyway. We enjoyed our stay a lot.

The staff of the facility were very polite and accommodating to our requests. The breakfast was also quite nice and especially the mpougatsa.
Despite the fact that the staff of the "hotel" were willing to help, there were several issues with the facilities offered, such as:
There were no proper blinds in order to block the sunlight properly. There were only two curtains that were simply not enough to create a nicely dark room to sleep into. In other words, there was too much light during the whole day, which was not really helpful
The beds were really hard and hence not good for those, like myself, who have back pain issues.
The wifi was partially working, depending on the day and the place in the room you stand.
No 24-hour reception despite the fact that it claims to be a "hotel'.
Noisy air-conditioning without tele-control. The noise was too much sometimes. It was quite tiring together with the fact that i had to stand up and go to change the "thermostat" which was mounted in the room
Unfortunately, there were no electricity outlets next to the double bed

This is the second time I've been in this hotel and it won't be the last. It's peaceful and quiet and the pool is enormous with very nice views. Always managed to find a deckchair at all times of the day. The staff is very helpful and although I did not manage to get a late checkout since the hotel was fully booked I spent the last day by the pool where there is a shower by the pool and a bathroom at the bar. Perfect stay with lots of lovely lovable kittens. There are 3 bus stops a few steps away from the hotel which makes it extremely easy to go to the centre and other places.

Finding the hotel was a bit of an issue, we kept missing the turning as we didn’t realise that the turning on the map was actually a small road that we accessed via the BP petrol station. The hotel and the petrol station share a sign, we missed it initially as there is a tree just before the hotel that blocked the bit that says Rodon Hotel. Room was dated, uncomfortable bed, very hard. Hairdryer was really old fashioned, If I’d known, I’d have taken my own with me as this one was really poor. The room was patched up in lots of areas, only 1 plug socket on the opposite side of the room to the bed, a short extension lead was supplied but did not stretch more than a metre from the wall. Shower was ok but window was so height that it could not be opened. No kettle in the room, we had to ask for boiling water to carry back to our room. Pool area was ok but desperately in need of maintenance due to bubbling paint work. Beware of the cats if eating around the pool, one was a bit of a nasty brute. This place is definitely not 3 star. It’s in need of updating and modernising. It was clean but we wouldn’t return.

We needed to find a hotel near the airport for one night in order to drive to Heraklion the next morning. Rodon was very ideal for this. A big bonus is the hotel's large swimming pool, where we were able to swim late at night. The hotel is easy to find and has a good location. A little inland from the main street. The place is quiet and the whole hotel complex is very pleasant. Since we arrived at night. then the reception was closed, but the hotel sent very detailed instructions for finding the keys. The room is basic, everything you need was there, a bonus is the balcony. The breakfast was surprisingly rich. Overall a pleasant experience. If you want to be a little outside of Chania and travel on a low budget, then this is a good choice, as the price-quality ratio is very good.

Air conditioning had some issues. Not a great view from the room. Some issues with shower not functioning properly in our room. Minor repairs need to get done but overall lovely place

The accommodation is centrally located between Chania City & Airport. I liked it for two nights to explore the city and be close to the airport to depart easily. The pool gives the small but comfy accommodation great value!
Not too close into the centre (walking distance 30-40 minutes) but with a good view along the coast :)

The location of this hotel is brilliant. For future guests please note it is easy to miss the sign, which is on the BP Garage sign, as it is obscured by a tree, dependent on which way you are entering! Plenty space in the car park. Lovely pool. Breakfast was good. Staff were so kind and attentive. We loved that the hotel look after the local stray cats. So entertaining at night watching the kittens play! Lovely rooftop terrace beside the bar.
The coffee machine didn't provide the best coffee, but that seemed to be the same of most hotels. No decaffeinated option, but it wasn't really a big deal.

Should I book Rodon hotel?! Our little family had a great stay ? So, we highly recommend!! Their staffs were extra friendly and we felt at home! Breakfast was amazing ? There were bread, bread toaster, pancakes ?, fried eggs ?, boiled eggs ?, bacon/sausages, croissant ?, cheese, hams, Greek yogurt, and lots of jams, dried fruits, cereal, milk, coffee and fresh ? orange juice & ? lemon juice ?The place is surrounded with olive trees. Parking place is abundant. The Pool ? is very clean and big. View was also fantastic. Overall, highly recommended and kudos to the hotel team! Keep up the good works ?
Nothing to complain about. I don't agree with some negative reviews from other guests. Remember, you book this hotel at a great price so stop complaining for small things. The hotel is not very modern but it's practical, comfortable and clean ?

Nice and modern rooms, great pool. Very clean. Very friendly staff. An absolutely wonderful breakfast with an excellent selection of everything! Very good public transportation to Chania old town.
Would be nice to be able to prepare hot water for tea or coffee in the room. Small shower.
