The hotel is located in a very quiet area, about 6 km away from Skiathos town. As it's a family-owned hotel, the staff (and the owners) are very polite and helpful with anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They can provide you with suggestions about what to do on the island, what to visit in the city, boat tour details and recommendations. Even with renting cars, they helped us calling a few rental companies and negotiating a better deal than what we found online.
We really enjoyed the internet connection, with a decent speed and good coverage even outdoors in their huge garden and pool area. The room cleaning was a surprise as we got our room cleaned on a daily basis with new bedsheets and another set of towels of all sizes (which we could use at the beach as well); sparkling clean every day and we didn't expect that from a 2* hotel. The breakfast was good, with not too many options or diverse, but overall was decent, tasty and with the right serving temperature. If you don't want to go to the beach you can relax next to the gorgeous pool with the option to serve some drinks from the bar during the day at decent prices.

The Ostria Hotel is in a great location. On the one hand it is set back from the street so that it is very quiet and on the other hand there is a great bay in front of the hotel (across the street, a small path leads you to the sea). There is a great beach bar with comfortable seating and chilled music. The hotel itself is small and looks very familiar. You will be welcomed personally and greeted warmly. Everyone is very friendly and absolutely helpful (our little daughter had to see the doctor and an appointment was made for us directly - that was very great and helped us a lot).
The rooms are very spacious (we had two rooms each with an adjoining bathroom, a kitchenette and a large terrace. The decor is simple, but it is absolutely sufficient and small decorative elements loosen up the decor. The complex is very well maintained, really very good beautifully planted and beautifully green. The pool is also beautiful and the area is equipped with comfortable loungers and umbrellas. Wi-Fi is also great and there is free parking for the rental car. For the little ones there are two swings and a seesaw - nicely shaded under palm trees.
Directly opposite the Ostria Hotel is a tavern - you can have a good dinner here.
We can only recommend the Ostria, we felt very comfortable and would like to come back again!

Ostria is an amazing family owned hotel that has the kindest, most helpful staff and owners I have seen in a very long time.
The room/apartments were well furnished, with modern bathrooms and well built so that you cannot hear the neighbors.
The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful as well as flexible. The two sisters that run the hotel are also extremely friendly and able to arrange or organize pretty much anything you would like to do.
The breakfast is simple but tasty and you can find a selection of sweet and savory dishes.
The property is incredibly well kept and beautiful in of itself.
The hotel is located right next to a beach and outside the main city which is quieter but within walking distance of a bus stop, and several nice beaches and restaurants.
We were initially considering going to one of the 5* hotels down town but we could not have been happier with the choice of staying here. Highly recommended!!

The owner welcomed us with open arms (literally) which was a breath of fresh air after a very inhospitable stay at the over priced Skiathos Palace. The room was really big and spacious with everything we needed. The beach is very close and really nice. The pool and little restaurant were lovely and the staff were very friendly. Great breakfast too. Excellent value for money

Ostria hotel is a family run hotel and hospitality is at the highest level. Hotel owners are very friendly and happy to help. I would highly recommend staying in Ostria hotel, as it is very close to a beautiful beach Agia Paraskevi (3 min walk), it is a very clean hotel, with beautiful garden - and I have never seen grass being so green! We enyojed coffe after breakfast in this beautiful garden.
There really is nothing not to like. Maybe consider changing yogis, as it wasn`t comfortable at all, or maybe I am too sensitive, as I have back & neck problems.
Tip: not related to the hotel, but SUPERMARKETS - Don`t buy there, as prices are very high! Skiathos town has SPAR store with friendly prices. We found out that after 3 days of staying there, after we spend a lot in a nearest Supermarket for basic stuff we needed (example: shower gel 5 โฌ, 1 kg of Tomatoes was around 7 โฌ, etc, bread between 3-5 โฌ, etc...)

Family run hotel and all the staff were super friendly and helpful with any requests including letting us stay for a late checkout in our room on our departure day and helping us sort out covid tests! Agia Paraskevi itself is a lovely quiet area, great beach and a few tavernas. Amazing bus links up to beaches such as Troulos, as well as in to Skiathos town (15-20 mins). Ostria is less than 2 minute walk from bus stop 16 and also right by a little shop where you can also hire scooters. The area seems to be popular with the older generation so no bars etc (which was exactly what we wanted), and the area felt very safe. We had an amazing stay and canโt wait to be back!

The owners and the staff were super nice and very helpful. We were traveling with our 9 month old daughter who is a big fan of avocados. When we couldn't find avocados in the local supermarkets, the owner brought avocados for her from the Skiathos town. We were very impressed with this hospitality and considerate treatment. This hotel was close to a bunch of great restaurants and nice beaches. The hotel is also next to a bus stop, which make sit very easy to go to different parts of the island which are accessible by public transport.
All rooms in this hotel come with a balcony and it was nice to interact with the other guests staying at this hotel. This hotel also has a nice swimming pool and a bar.
There was no chopping board in the kitchenette. The shower curtain didn't reach all the way to the floor, so the bathroom floor gets wet after the shower. Apart from these two minor issues, this place was perfect.

The people were incredible. Couldn't do enough for us, some of the best service i've ever experienced. Would stay here again purely because of them. More so, the location is perfect for a semi quiet time, the beach opposite is gorgeous, walking distance to a few other lovely beaches. All the local taverna's were amazing and easy bus access into town.

Hotel Ostria is beautiful - lovely gardens, gorgeous pool & nice spacious apartments.
The staff were all so helpful & friendly too. The cleanliness was next level, our apartment was cleaned every single day to a high standard.
The beach is just a 5 min walk & also very close to lovely restaurants.
We loved our stay as a family of four & wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

The property is so clean and tidy, the room was very comfortable with AC, a mini kitchen and fridge freezer. This is a small family run business which I love about Greek holidays... only about 16 rooms. Staff and owners were so nice and chatty, pool is a nice size with plenty of sunbeds.

Location is ideal for at least 6 tavernas, all of which served excellent food at good value, we loved Jimmy's. It's a small island with a very good bus service with a stop outside the hotel, only about 15 mins to skiathos Town (โฌ1.60). We will return like many other guests that were there when we stayed, some have been returning for years and i can see why.

Excellent appartments complex. I stayed with my two year old and everything was perfect. Great location, can walk to the beach in less than five minutes, restaurants just round the corner and a little super market. Really lovely complex with a pool, a seasaw and swing as well as lots of grassy areas including shade to run around and relax it. Anna the owner/manager and her team were all very kind and helpful and was very kind to us. A really enjoyable stay.

Located near the Agia Paraskevi beach, a quiet place with a large garden, swimming pool and parking. Our apartment was actually two connected double rooms with a small kitchenette with the convenience of two bathrooms. Large patio with chairs and table. Dog friendly! The staff is extremely kind and helpful - just ask Ana for anything! The garden keeper helped me buy and change my dead car battery. Do not forget to visit the Oregano restaurant, run by the property.

Really lovely staff, very helpful but not over powering. Anna the owner arranged a rental car and gave us great advice to find some beautiful quiet beaches.
Although no fault of the owners, unfortunately during our first few days there were some brits placing towels on sunbeds to reserve very early in mornings.

Lovely accommodation just off the main road in Agia Paraskevi and two minutes to the beach. Far enough off the road so it was quiet. Really well-kept gardens and grounds and lovely clean pool area with comfy sunbeds. Anna and her staff made everyone feel welcome and were very helpful. We had a studio with a small kitchenette which had a kettle, toaster, fridge and 2 rings for cooking. We didn't really need them though as breakfast was included. Room was kept really clean with frequent changes of bedding and towels. Good choice at breakfast with a lot of variety to please everyone. Would definitely stay there again.
I'm being picky here as everything was great but the bed was slightly hard and they could do with a few more umbrellas and beds around the pool

Wonderful and friendly staff, amazing property, exceptionally clean and great location. The hotel has a refreshing pool and is very close to a beautiful beach, from bus stop 16, which is right around the corner you can reach the town of Skiathos easily in 15-20 minutes. The room had a very nice interior and was pretty new. Breakfast was good aswell. Over all a great stay!

Our mimi bus dropped us off on the main road as it was too big to go down to the property, so my initial thoughts were 'oh no we are on a main road'. We walked about 50 yards to reception and from there on realised it was a great location! We were away from the road, and never heard any traffic even when sitting by the pool!
accommodation was great as-well! We are a family of 4 and the kids had there own room with 2 proper single beds rather than a sofa bed, and we all had en-suite bathrooms!
wardrobe on both rooms had a safe and at no extra cost!
Aircon in both rooms which worked great!
Only grumble, I had one plug socket which was loose! That's it!

The room was a good size and clean. Bedding was good but the towels a little rough and too small (and Iโm a size12). The aircon was brilliant and the pool and location was great.
We like to eat our breakfast on our terrace or take it with us to the beach and did so on the first day, after which we were challenged in a loud, abrupt and rude manner stating we should only eat in the breakfast room (we are adults on our holiday and rules should be thoroughly explained) not just re-iterated on checking out. We declined to eat breakfast on day 3 preferring to enjoy a local taverna (without rules of course). Very upsetting!โน๏ธ

Greek island oasis in one of the nicest beach areas of Skiathos. One of the best accomodations we have experienced. Upstairs apartment was spacious with small kitchen and utensils to self cater. Large bathroom with shower for two. Comfortable bed and a relaxing lounge area plus kitchen table and sofa. Large balcony with clothes hanging area. Grounds are lush and tropical with tables and chairs to sit under palms. Pool area is a great alternative to beach with really comfortable sun lounges. Breakfast buffet has a wide range to choose from. Bar is great value. All staff were the friendliest nicest people. A 3 minute walk to a beautiful beach that is not over crowded. Bus stop convenient to reach town or sunset beaches on west side of island. A surprisingly vast array of eating places in walking distance and various other options where they will collect you. Truly havenโt been able to tick so many boxes in one place before. Absolutely loved our stay and wish we were still living there.

The bar only took cash which was a pain as there was no cashpoint locally - everywhere else in the resort takes cards. Also they say that they have vegan options but for breakfast this was just basic fruit and salad - no dairy alternatives although you can buy them locally. Nothing vegan on pool snack menu except olives or greek salad without the feta (at the same price). The rooms need a bit of updating for the price.

Our stay at Ostria was absolutely wonderful!! The whole property is so pretty and so peaceful. Itโs set back a bit from the main road so itโs completely quiet, yet itโs close enough to the street that you have the bus stop about 3 minutes away and many delicious restaurants all around. The pool area is very clean and pretty. The pool isnโt the biggest but completely enough for the fact that you are on an island with so many beautiful beaches. The rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious. The balconies have a lovely view, the bathroom is newly renovated and there is even a kitchenette! Breakfast at the hotel was also lovely and had many options. Eggs, bread, cereals, sweets, meats and many more. Maria at the breakfast is a sweetheart. And Anna, the owner, is such a fun, sassy and sweet woman and is so helpful as well. She helped us rent a car for the day, and recommended many wonderful beaches and restaurants. Overall, all the people that worked at the hotel really made you feel at home. The hotel is situated in Kolios which is a really ideal place to stay. Itโs about 15 min from town by bus and 10 min from koukounaries by bus, so itโs so easy to get everywhere, yet itโs a lot more calm. There is also a market right around the corner that has everything you may need. So overall itโs truly a wonderful hotel. This was our first time on Skiathos, so we didnโt really know where to stay and just ended up deciding on this hotel, and boy are we glad that we did! If we ever come back to Skiathos, we would definitely love to stay here again. Seriously canโt recommend it enough!!

On arrival we were informed that we would have to change rooms after the first night (because of the arrival of other guests). The new room should be one of the best. We didnยดt mind the change of room, but we were disappointed with the size of the double bed (was a quite smaller than the in the first room). The second room have no kitchenette (which we were not told). The bathroom was much better in the second room. On the day of departure we ordered a taxi at the reception to the airport. Unfortunately the taxi never came :-(. We ask the lady maybe 3x to check it. It looks like she got tired of answering us, so she told us, that the taxi is waiting at main road. We went there, had been waiting again, and finally we stopped a free taxi driving by. We waited only 5-10 minutes at the airport for boarding, means, if we hadn't arranged the taxi ourselves, we probably would have missed the flight.
Wi-fi in the room works very poorly, rather it doesn't work at all.
We had asked for two sheets in advance to cover, which was confirmed, but we were only given one on arrival anyway.
After changing the room, we again got only one sheet...
Little things, but it's not pleasant to deal with it repeatedly

The property is located back from the road so very quiet but also conveniently located for the short walk to the beach and the bus stop. The room was spotless and large. The grounds are very well maintained, pool area very clean. The room was cleaned to a high standard. Aircon a bonus and included unlike at other properties. Simple but adequate kitchenette if you want to cook. Great to have breakfast. I often had the breakfast room to myself at 8am! I was on holiday with friends who stayed at other properties but Ostria was the best by far.

We have stayed here for only one night but everything was just great. The lady who received us was very nice and polite, the apartament was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was for every taste, the pool was clean, the garden was beautiful. The one thing we dind't enjoy was the coffee because was with a flavor and sweetened.
We really enjoyed our stay here and we will definately come back next time we will be in Skiathos.

The Ostria was a pretty little hotel steps away from the beach. We were met with a smile at reception and although we were early, we were invited to use the amenities while we had a short wait for our room. Every day our room was meticulously cleaned which was a bonus with small children. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The pool area was very clean and perfectly maintained. The daily breakfast was simple but adequate for our needs. Overall a lovely stay in a beautiful little hotel that we would visit again.

We had to book at the last minute due to being let down by another hotel but were greeted on arrival by Anna and to discover that we had an upgraded room.
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Sofia and Anna went out of their way to help us in every way, every time we asked for anything. All staff were great.
Just a 2 minute walk to the beach.
The gardens were beautiful, the area quiet and relaxing, just 1 minute to the bus stop for town and other beaches.

Rooms are very clean and spacious, there is a nice terrace outside where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee. Breakfast has basic options but it is delicious and homemade. Outside is a very nice grass and palm trees, it is calm and relaxing. The hosts are very kind and on the last day there is a shower so you can enjoy beach after check out. Location is very convenient, a nice beach is in walking distance as well as bus stop 16 for Skiathos town and other beaches. Pool is clean.

The location was absolutely perfect on a flat property set back from the main road so very tranquil and only moments from the #16 bus stop.Our room was huge with a kitchenette, bed and sitting area and in-suite bathroom was all new and large. Balcony area was a great size which also included a hanging area for wet beach towels etc. Having a pool with decent lounges/umbrellas for the times you just want to lounge by the pool instead of the beach was lovely. Staff were super friendly with great recommendations and breakfast was always a good choice of different foods.So many different tavernas close by to choose from and a great beach across the road made this accommodation absolutely perfect. As our first to this island, we felt like weโd really hit the jackpot with our choice of accommodation. No wonder there were so many return guests staying here!

It feels like home, the rooms are big and clean and the terrace is cosy. You can play cards on the shadow in the garden and then to swim in the beautiful pool and then you can grab sometime to eat since all the good tavernas are super close.

Furthermore Sofia was very helpful she gave us a map and explained some of the beaches and some recommendation for restaurant. The location was very convenient , the bus station was outside the hotel and also has a mini market 2 min it was very near . I will come again next year for more days for sure ?

Perhaps some little things were missing like tea, coffee, water and milk in the rooms for a hot drink. Also the breakfast was nice but very much the same thing every day. That could have been due to the end of season though.

The hotel is fantastic โ the place is very convenient, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The garden and pool are incredible, with lush greenery everywhere. Itโs perfect for kids, who can walk barefoot on the grass right from the terrace. The whole yard is amazing, with a well-kept lawn and lots of space to relax and enjoy nature.

We have just returned from Skiathos and from start to finish we had the absolute best 7 days at Ostria hotel. The room, the grounds and the pool are beautiful. The hotel is located down a short drive way, meaning you are not next to the road but are still within a few minute's walk to the closest beach and bus stop. You can get the bus from Stop 16 directly into Skiathos town for 2 Euros each way. However, if you decide you don't want to go into town there are plenty of Tavernas within walking distance as well as 2 supermarkets a few minutes walk in either direction. Our favorite thing about this hotel was the people. The staff really do go above and beyond to ensure you have an amazing stay. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the cleaners did a fantastic job on our room on daily basis. We did the Greek night which was so much fun and the food was fabulous, we highly recommend! There is also free on site parking if you decide to rent a car (we recommend a 4X4!) We will 100% be returning. Thank you for such a fantastic week, we miss this place already!

Location of the property is just across the beach (200 meters walking), next to several restaurants and supermarkets. Apartment was spacious for 2 adults and 2 children, cleaned daily (fresh towels provided every 2 days). Hotel is surrounded by a huge garden with chairs and umbrellas for guests, pool is huge and clean.
For the price, a small breakfast could be included. The pool area should perhaps be better monitored, as teenagers were behaving erratically and cornering families in a small section of it.
