Nadiaa from guest relations is an absolute treasure. My children loved creating the floral art with her and making pizza with the chef.
Splashing around in two pool options after a delicious buffet breakfast.
AlamKulKul was extremely well priced. We were pleasantly suprised at how much we enjoyed our stay here. This was the final stop in our month long holiday and we wished we had of had a few extra days here !! .... we will be back for sure.

Good location , perfect representation of traditional Balinese culture and living. The Alam villa was a great little addition of the resort.
I thought that the way the Villa rooms are constructed with the Cain style roof is that the top of the walls don’t fully connect with the roof allowing lots of mosquitos especially during the breeding season now in to your room. Yes bug spray and coils were supplied but it was a constant battle keeping them and the friendly loud Geckos out. The room was great but just thought this could be sealed off to keep it more insect protected.

Great hotel, right across the road from Kuta beach. The beach was a bit of a garbage dump due to the bad storms on our arrival. The hotel was excellent, with a great breakfast. We were on the third floor. There is no elevator in this hotel, so if you are mobility impaired, keep this in mind and request a ground floor. Pools were great. We hung out by the pools a couple of days because it was too rough to swim. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. They were all Australian oriented because they are so close to get to Bali. Nothing against aussies, just didn’t go to Bali to hang out at Aussie bars and restaurants.
No elevators. We got stuck in a third floor room. Advantage was the room was very quiet, and overlooked the lagoon pool

The warmth and hospitality of the staff at Alum KulKul was second to none. From the reception staff to the gardeners, everyone was friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile and greeting and prepared to help in any way possible.
The only things I would mention is that, as Westerners, I think we are accustomed to softer beds and so we all found the beds quite hard, however this was quickly fixed with a mattress topper when we mentioned it.
The only complaint I would have is the exorbitant price they charged for doing the laundry. Definitely go to a street vendor for that as $55 for four days worth of clothing was extreme!
Aside from that, I would highly recommend everything else about the resort. Room service and food were great too.

Food and beverage prices which then have to have double tax put on. My lunch in Papa's cost 47 dollars more than the warung down the road and we ordered the same food. Beers were expensive , only 10 per cent less than Australia yet there is a huge difference in economies. Most bintangs were 35,000 but this resort was 57,000 with ++tax.

The service and friendliness of the staff from beginning to end. Day or night, the pool staff, cleaning staff and reception, couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was any trouble for them.
The breakfast had plenty of choice, staff so attentive and friendly everyday, went above and beyond!
The restaurant at the front of the hotel had great staff and the food and drinks were amazing.
They often had music playing most evenings too!
We had some beauty treatments too. Best massage I've ever had. The girls were amazing and my facial was so relaxing I fell asleep! The salon was beautifully decorated and the ambience was spot on..
We didn't like the 1st room we were given as it was so far back. Within 20 mins they offered us another room which was in a closer block to the front.
This 2nd was great! We had a 2nd floor room. No lift but staff helped with cases.
Room probably could do with a few touch ups here and there but didn't affect the stay.
Would of liked some draw space to put away clothes maybe!
The only negative was we couldn't get anything to dry on our balcony as the sun didn't get through or air flow.

Everything about it was good very comfortable rooms
During our stay for 3 nights the rooms above us, were banging chairs and dragging chairs along the floor the whole night the sounds in it room was deafening and kept us awake all night, on second night found out it was staff sharing the rooms we had absolutely no sleep and we complained to all the staff overnight this second night was terrible..I even banged on their door asked them to stop multiple times
After speaking with hotel manager in the morning demanded something Dinner to which then is was addressed and the staff moved out of the rooms test of our stay. Would stay again but dragging top floor or villa

The first week of my stay I had very poor interrupted sleep due to constant furniture moving and people moving above me all night long, Reception was contacted multiple times a night about this. The pools were dirty with one pool being down for 3 days, My towels and linen were stained with old blood and yellow stains even when changed. I phoned house keeping multiple times to re change my sheets because of the blood stains and was told I already had my sheets changed that day so could not be attended to until I insisted on it. Room cards to room would not work I had my card changed 9 different times and still had to be let into my room by staff on multiple occasions. The price and tax was high. Breakfast was ordinary for what I payed. The rooms require general maintenance I had paint falling off my roof daily. Rubbish bins were not emptied daily with large amounts of bags left for 4-5 days on end. Bed was very hard.

When I booked I mentioned it was my husbands 60th birthday and requested if possible could they do something nice. In our room there was a beautiful display awaiting us when we arrived on the bed using flowers and other flora that said Happy 60th. And then on the day of his birthday for breakfast they gave him a birthday cake and the staff sung him happy birthday.
Our room was off the pool so we could walk straight out to it. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
There was miscommunication from both sides with our massage booking and we weren't able to have what we wanted done on his birthday. So we ended up going elsewhere for a treatment. Which ended up been really great! Because of the language barrier we are learning that we need to be clearer with our comnunication with our request and the staff member also needs to confirm from their end what they understand we are booking in for.

The location was fabulous. Felt safe and secure with security guards out the front controlling the traffic so you could safely walk across the road. The staff were all wonderful and made you feel like family with warm greetings wherever you went in the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and offered a good range of hot and cold food and nothing was too much trouble if you required anything. Loved our ground floor room right opposite the pool. Loved the music at night at the front bar. The bathroom and shower are very large and great hot water pressure. The small boutique hotel does have a few maintenance issues requiring attention but it didn’t impact our week’s long holiday.
Loved it all no negative comments required.

The location is good, breakfast is simple but cheap and acceptable, the pool is fine. The whole place is quite old, crumbling a little bit.
The rooms weren't very clean, the air conditioner seemed to be working in reverse in one of our rooms - putting more humidity into the room - this caused everything to be slimy - even the sheets.
The manager of the restaurant was very rude asking for my phone number and address in Australia so that he can visit me. We only talked for 10 seconds before he suggested this. It is a strange behaviour, abusing his power like this.
They sprayed some kind of smoky poison around the gardens to kill mosquitos right at 6pm as we were leaving for dinner. This activity, if it must be done, needs to be warned and ideally done early in the morning when the guests are in their rooms.

Resort is directly opposite beach on a one-way street making it easier to cross for pedestrians. Our room was at the rear and near the smaller pool, so less noise from passing guests or kids playing in large pool. All staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Firstly, arriving by motorcycle was disappointing. We were re-directed from main entrance to undercover bike-parking nearby. However, it was very dark, there was sand on the ground, and space seemed limited. Due to slipping on the sand and darkness my wife seriously damaged her leg while dismounting from the bike and will take the next month to overcome which will inhibit her lifestyle. Additionally, this is not the area to stay if you like a calm atmosphere.

There was a great band at dinner, the restaurant for dinner was alright. Breakfast was great.
A bit run down, the rooms were a bit dark and dated. Our AC had a leak, there were some small stains on the sheets and the shower seemed to be decaying. We chose to switch hotels after the first night.

The hotel is charming, it looks more authentic than nearby big resorts. The room was large and comfortable and on the beach across the street you can rent boards at very cheap price.

This place is the best. Our family loved every day we stayed there. We rented a villa and couldn't have asked for a more comfortable place to relax after coming back from the beach that is just across the street. The bathtub can't be beat. It is perfect. Also, my boys enjoyed the daily afternoon activities offered, especially the bracelet making and the rock painting. We'll definitely be booking our stay at the AlamKulKul Resort next summer when we're back in Bali.

The grounds were beautiful, very well kept and clean! The staff were always friendly, greeting you with a smile every time. We enjoyed the cocktail party they put on for all guests, with free cocktails and small bites of food. The rooms were well kept, clean and tidy! The villa was bigger than expected, and had everything I needed for my stay! I enjoyed room service one night, it was a quick turn around from putting in my order to the food arriving at my door, about 15 minutes.

This hotel is perfect for families! We had a late booking and missed out on a villa, so we stayed in a quad room with four singles, and it was so much fun! The pool area is a great spot for relaxing, and the breakfast was amazing—finally, some decent coffee on a buffet! The location is fantastic, and for those arriving late like us, there’s a handy 24-hour restaurant right next door. The staff are absolutely wonderful. Ketut, the manager, is super attentive and always looking for ways to make your stay even better.
We had an awesome time and can’t wait to return and snag that villa next time! Highly recommend this hotel for families.
Overall, not much, to be picky, there are some maintenance issues around presentation.

Had a quick 1 night transit stay after a week in Gianyar. The staff were incredibly friendly, hospitable and remembered my name which made me feel special and a little sad I had to leave so soon. The resort is well situated across the road from the beach with a range of services, restaurants, beach bars, shopping, tattoos all nearby. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy, bathrooms is spacious and the a/c was cold. Breakfast in the morning had a great selection of foods including fruit, juices, hot local dishes, an egg station and pastries. I would definitely book a holiday here and stay a week or 2 very happily.
The rooms were a little dated, but the space and cold a/c was more important to me and also the comfy bed. Fittings in the bathrooms appear to be weathered from the salt air, so would be nice to see them upgraded.

Hotel is well located and literally in front of the beach. There are 2 main pools which is nice and they were clean. Room was spacious with decent sized balcony and pool view. Staff is lovely and very kind.
Bathroom shower place was not very clean and literally seems heavily used and needs rennovation. There was constant smell of the tubs. Room was fine, but furnitures seem old and heavility used. This is personal preference, however, breakfast can contain a bit more fruits given the richness Indonesia can offer in this regard.
