Stayed at Legian Beach Hotel in 1988 and back again. Only 1 pool back then with a springboard. Love the location in Legian and being across the road from the beach. Beautiful gardens and pools, one being adults only with swim up bar. Plenty of day beds and pool chairs. Huge buffet breakfast with so many choices of drinks and food and many options to sit and enjoy your brekky being inside or outside with a view of the ocean. Family member stayed in a Villa which was beautiful.

Location close to everything and right on the beach is the best part of the hotel.
It’s way too overpriced for what it is. It is one of the OG Bali hotels which I love but unless there is going to be some updates they may need to think about a price drop. You can stay in other hotels just as good for half the price. Won’t be staying again unless there is a great deal on.

The front counter ladies were very rude, speaking Indonesian amongst each other and ignoring us while we checked in.
They said at 11am our rooms were not ready so we came back at 3pm for them then trying to find a room and upgraded us.
The entire time they were talking Indonesian and we had to keep interrupting them, very bad service.
We have stayed before and never had this issue.

We paid for breakfast - but no one noted it on the computer, so it showed we hadnt had it included, we were harassed at breakfast every morning - eventually telling them to sort their own system out, it had nothing to do with us.
Shower water was just luke warm.
Staff cant make the smallest decision themselves, all sorts of higher up managers and managers managers had to be called in - it wasted a heap of our time.
We arent first timers at LBH and certainly noticed the decline

The family room is in the far back corner close to the busy road. Our room smelt mouldy and was damp. For around aud350 I expected so much better, and would have got that from surrounding hotels and resorts. Breakfast is ok good selection but not the best in the area, like others suggest. If I was to stay again we would definitely opt for a garden or pool chalet as the rooms in the hotel area are not value for money at all.

The location is very close to beach, shopping, money exchange and restaurants. The breakfast restaurant is absolutely amazing. So much variety you are spoiled for choice. Swimming pools are clean even if water a little warm for my liking. You can get service right to your sun lounge at poolside.
We had a villa for our accommodation which was incredible. Large room, safe, large bed, TV, bathroom with vanity, separate toilet, shower over bath with curtains for privacy plus an out door private shower. Our villa included, bed turndown each evening, room serviced daily plus room service for light meals and drinks, 4 pieces of free washing each day, our own private courtyard with seating under veranda at front door.
The grounds of the hotel are kept immaculate and the ALL staff are super friendly with each greeting you as the walk past. Security at the gate who helped us cross the busy road. You cannot go past Legian Beach Hotel for value, safety and relaxation

Love the open space and dining areas especially Ocean Terrace. Nice alfresco feel.
The adult pool could have been bigger in size. Deck chairs area seems cramped. Hotel is huge but this pool doesn’t seem to match the number of guests using it !

Overall, it was a great stay. The room was bigger and nicer than expected. You do have to walk a bit to get to things to do, but overall, it is still a very walkable location without the need of a taxi. It's beachfront. Had a big nice jacuzzi, and the pool was about 150cm depth in the villa. Everything felt very luxurious. The room was definitely the highlight for me. Staff is always friendly and smiling.
My only real complaint is the free food. I never paid for food at the hotel, so I can't judge that at all. Only the food that came with my booking. The breakfast overall wasn't amazing. A bit smaller and lower quality than similar caliber hotels. No offer to order drink, just get yourself and wasn't always the best, especially the coffee. The lounge also wasn't the best food options and very small size that disappears in 2 seconds. And the room had only 2 coffee pods. Normally I see 4. I know you can ask for more. But it's just silly. Also to be more picky there wasn't a special entrance like a welcome drink or something when arriving. Also as a note to the hotel, the chosen stones for the area between reception and the restaurant are very uneven and my ankle slipped often. I'd recommend to change to flat stones like you have everywhere else.

Great room and facilities. Loved the kids pool for our little kids and the slide. Was great for a young family like ours. We had the Family room which had a loft bed and 2 single beds. We got a roll away bed for the extra person which was ready when we arrived. Room was clean but one day didn't get changed with a 'voucher' for sustainability to use the spa at a discounted rate. Breakfast was beautiful every day. We stayed here the week before school holidays so expected a better experience for the price we paid.
Non cleaning of the room that day with the voucher for the spa felt more like a marketing/revenue effort. We should have been asked if we wanted this option for the cost of our stay. The fridge in our room wasn't cold despite the lowest setting. Maintenance came and it still wasn't fixed. We called 2 more times but nobody showed up and we had to dispose of food we had for our kids. Was very annoyed about this. Staff could have been friendlier.

The premier pool villa was clearly advertised as having a living room separate from the bedroom. This is the reason I booked it and paid the higher price as I required the separate space.. In reality, the villa was just one room and a bathroom (the living room and bed all in one big room). The staff were not particularly helpful when I suggested we had the wrong room, saying there were no such villas in the resort.

I found the reception staff arrogant as if they were more elite than the customer. Concierge took my JBHifi bag which had pool products that needed repairs but I think they thought there were electronics inside weather someone else took it at the lobby car park where they are suppose to look after baggage or the personal decided to keep. Pool closes at 7 pm so to bad if you want to swim after a day of shopping or meetings.

I liked the pool and walking distance to the beach.
For the price, the value was not there. This hotel was equivalent to a Motel 6 in the US. The facilities are very rundown. We felt that the staff was not very helpful. Frankly, I would not return ever. In need of a major renovation.

I asked for a room near the pool, for my son and I. They gave us a Bungalow literally 10 metres from the pool. It was excellent! The buffet breakfast was the best I have ever had in all of my travels. We will definitely be back and recommend to our friends. Excellent location.
Could they print paper maps for the local area, as I was having a technology break.

Beautiful property and room—the design is stunning, very tropical and quintessential Bali. The grounds are gorgeous with so many flowers, and the squirrel tree was a cute touch. The staff were truly excellent and went above and beyond, even singing happy birthday to my husband at breakfast. I can’t say enough nice things—an excellent stay.
