You have to reserve a table for breakfast at their resident restaurant, which requires paying out of pocket, which we did not do. We really appreciated being able to leave our luggage in the luggage room both before/after check out/in as we came/left on the train at odd hours.

Nice and comfortable old style hotel. Staff very accommodating. The hotel is right onto the Cobh waterfront - and very close to the Cobh train station.
Overall really good and not much bad to say. Only that car parking is provided by the hotel, as it states in the add, but it is charged at €9 per day to use the parking. This is advertised in the booking.com advert but it is not immediately clear - especially when the summary of the add states that parking (not necessarily paid parking) is available. Also given that guests are already paying for the room, asking for €9 per day for parking is a bit steep - and if you plan to stay for a few days, this can really add up to increase the amount you will pay to stay here. Be aware that on-street parking outside the hotel is paid during the daytime hours, but free during the night so if you are away during the day, it is cheaper to park on-street outside during the night.

Hotel itself is very old, smell of mildew throughout which looking back is to be expected for its age I guess. Sea view was nice if they had of cleaned the outside of the windows to properly enjoy it, difficult to get around with a pram due to its age. Didn't get that comfortable feeling there left after one night.
