The Gabriel guesthouse is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. we stayed here for two nights and would have loved to stay for longer. The location was brilliant. The staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and personal and so welcoming.
The gardens and surroundings of the house was beautiful and so cosy. The rooms were lovely and clean and the shower was amazing too. The breakfast was delicious with so much variety.
would highly highly recommend staying here.
Also an extra plus for me being an animal lover, was the house dogs and the animals.

What I adored most was the little garden-shed with very comfy sofas and a cozy atmosphere that‘s open to all guests. Best use it when it‘s pouring outside and you hear the rain pattering on the roof ☺️.
My first room had only a tiny window with milk glass - but the staff was very helpful and arranged for me to move to a different room for the second night. So my advice would be to ask for a room on the first floor or higher.

My friend and I loved out twin room. It was cosy, clean and had all the things we needed. We tried the sauna on the night of our arrival (highly recommend). We loved the garden as well (they have done so well with the space). The breakfast was so good. Adding breakfast to our package was a good choice because we could then start our day of exploration rather than looking for a coffee shop. The location is so ideal, 6-10mins walk to the train station which was so handy when we went to Cobh for the day trip. You can also walk to Cork city centre or take a bus just outside the property. I will definitely be booking again when I go down to Cork.

Great location, close to Kent Station (5 minutes to walk) and to the city centre (10 minutes). Bus stop near the hotel (2 minutes). Very friendly staff, a big, omfortable room with a phantastic view to the River Lee and the harbour. The breakfast is absolutely great, the best we ever had in Ireland.

Rooms we booked a little on the small side but understand it was a Convent at one point ( but guess smaller than the pictures we had seen on Booking . Com ) . There was some light in the room from the Terrace lighting and various other wee lights like TV, smoke alarm was a bit sleep disturbing . Pillows and beds maybe a little hard for out tastes .
