Hotel is conveniently located within the centre of Skibberean for ease of exploring around the town. The hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant areas are pleasant. Our room was spacious however decor was a bit of a mix match of colours and finishings although a fresh paint in a neutral colour would enhance it greatly. Hotel staff were fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful! Overall the hotel was ample for our needs and reasonable for the rates charged.

We had a view over a rusty bridge-it looked way nicer on google. At the bar there was a blackboard saying 'try our staffs favourite drink,a mojito' to be told there was no mint. Pricey Saturday to Sunday stay with a comfortable and clean room. The price included a continental breakfast (not a full breakfast). No eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles or pancakes etc. are served but can be bought for a price.

The location was good, modern enough hotel but rooms not that clean, we found blackhairs on toilet seat, a huge brown stain on carpets and second day our toilet was not cleaned. The room we stayed in we had to have curtains closed all the time as people passing in opposite corridor could clearly see in to our room. The dinner we had was vile. Couldn’t eat it and drinks order had to be returned as tasted awful but I was advised it was local produce drink without even being asked if I wanted it. We were never asked if everything was ok but we had mentioned the food and drink as it was clear we didn’t consume but only received a wry smile. We asked several time for the heating to be boosted in our room as it was freezing. We again, were never asked were we ok, we attempted to mention our dissatisfaction to reception but as we prepaid they just said ok have a nice day as we handed back key…! And with too many people around I didn’t want to discuss it then. Good points are breakfast was lovely. Bed was actually very comfortable for sleep but room basic with no place for luggage, very basic toiletry’s but it is 3 star

We liked the view and the fact that they had alternative milk options and decaf coffee.
It is just overpriced for what the hotel offers.
The furniture is not modern nor new, they still have keys to the doors, not chip cards, the mattress wasn't too comfortable and the breakfast offers just a few options with a very poor cold buffet range.
It is not bad, for a small hotel like this it is fine, but the price for a night is not compatible with this offer, it is too expensive.

Great location for exploring west cork
If you are late back at night (after 11.30pm) - it is a bit of a challenge to enter the building as they lock the doors. There is a night porter but we managed to get in by asking other hotel guests in the lobby to open the door for us.
The bar is okay and great for a cup of tea and something light to eat but the pint of Guinness is not the best in town.

We had a couple of meals and they were tasty, rather large servings for the mains, so we ended up just going for starters.
Our room was a long way away from the restaurant and bars. Really difficult with getting luggage to and from the room up rather narrow stairs. Our view was very disappointing, we looked out onto the roof of the restaurant and the airconditioners.

The staff seemed nice but didn't really engage with us, they didn't tell us anything about the hotel (breakfast, location, amenities) when we arrived and multiple times when we went to the front desk the person was on the phone.
