The decor is elegant and calming...the suite was beautiful and spacious, with big window onto the garden and natural light...the breakfast was big and plentiful and with lots of delicious choices...every staff member was helpful...the location is great for getting into town (2 minutes to train, bus stops nearby) and walking to lovely parks and a variety of pubs...and the sitting room has 24//7 coffee/tea/drinks/snacks and an inviting atmosphere. This was a lovely guest house in a good location close to public transport. The reception area was well decorated and fitting a historic period. We were lucky to be upgraded, not the typical Booking com room.
We arrived earlier and the initial receptionist was rude and hostile. Not at all helpful, particularly when asked for directions for food. However when we returned to check in we were grayed with a gentleman who went out of his way to help us. Parking was an issue with guest house staff parking in the car park making it difficult to get into the tight space. Would describe parking as extremely limited. The breakfast room was small and we were turned away until a table became available. Photos on the website did not reflect the decor of all rooms.

The property was beautiful and bigger than I had imagined. The breakfast and hospitality was fantastic. The breakfast location, a sunroom, is stunning! They had a great selection of things off the menu like cheeses and pastries in addition to the menu to order from. There is also a lounge area where one can have coffee, tea and treats anytime throughout the day and play games or just chat.
We went during a hot time all around Europe and the rooms felt extremely stuffy and hot. A fan would have been nice. It also was a bit of a walk 30-40 mins to where everything is happening. This fine establishment maintains all the charms of a traditional manner house, yet the interiors of the guest rooms are all refurbished, modernized, clean, neat, and beautiful. All the staff members are friendly and helpful. We stayed a total of 4 nights here and enjoyed our stay very much.
The location of the establishment is slightly away from the center of Dublin. We needed to take a train to visit the places of interest which are pretty much concentrated in the city center. Still, I should add that the train station is just steps away. And the nice tranquility of the high-class neighborhood well compensated for the slight remoteness.

Absolutely incredible breakfast. They have a self serve area of pastries, cheese, yogurt, fruit, and juices and then you get to pick an βentreeβ that the kitchen prepares for you. Breakfast is served in an atrium that looks out over their backyard.
The room was beautiful, and ours looked out over the street. Residential area so very quiet and relaxed, little to no street noise.
Staff was really nice and accommodating! My favorite part was their drawing room, they have an honor bar and coffee/tea to enjoy while you sit and read.
Only about a 30 minute walk to Trinity College.

I was pleasantly surprised by Ariel House. The location was perfect for my trip (close to the DART train and Aviva Stadium). The decor in Arial House and the building itself are so thoughtfully designed, right down to the fragrance reeds placed throughout the building. Complimentary tea, coffee and homemade cookies and cake are available in the drawing room every afternoon/evening, which I thought is such a nice and simple touch. Little things like the pleasant smell and complimentary cake make the experience memorable. I also looked forward to breakfast each morning. I am vegetarian and was pleased to see a variety of homemade options on the breakfast menu. To be honest, the Ariel House was my favorite part about Dublin. I would stay here again if I ever come back.
The shower in my room turned on from outside of the bathroom and was VERY loud. My father was traveling with me and got a separate room. He said his shower was different.

We stayed at Ariel House in late September and appreciated a number of thoughtful touches. Early check-in was smooth, and we were kindly upgraded to a family room. Staff were warm and accommodating throughout, including arranging a 5:15 a.m. checkout. The Victorian townhouse is beautiful, and the lounge with complimentary tea, cakes, and newspapers created a very welcoming atmosphere.
However, there were a few issues that made our stay less comfortable than expected. The satellite TV didnβt work due to a broken cable, and while staff said it would be fixed the next day, it wasnβt. With temperatures around 6Β°C (43Β°F), the room felt quite cold. The heating was minimal, and the towel heater in the bathroom required a staff request to turn on. The bathroom also had two windows that didnβt close properly, letting in cold air. Additionally, one wall had exposed plaster, another had peeling paint, and there was visible mold in one corner.
Overall, we appreciated the hospitality and character of the property, but some maintenance and comfort issues detracted from what is marketed as a luxury experience.

We loved the property, and had prepaid a stay here over four months previously. Mysteriously, as the NFL game was in town, our room developed a βmaintenance issueβ which resulted in their moving us to another, not nearly as nice, hotel.
The room was in the basement with extremely bright security lights lighting up the room all night long, which I guess was good because the room itself had pitiful lighting. There was one power outlet for the entire room β none at all close to the bed, which was challenging given my partner uses a CPAP. The toilet seat was broken, and the floors so filthy that my slipper bottoms were black by the time we left. Not at all what we paid for or expected. Such a huge disappointment, we left early.

The staff were exceptional, They breakfasts had great options and the food was very nicely prepared and presented. The rooms had everything needed. The location was great, so close to the DART and walkable to many places.
The only thing i would recommend is having a small shelf in the bathroom, other than the sink there wasn't really anywhere to put things.E

Very good location, one block from the train station that deposits you into the city.
We are very seasoned travelers, grateful for each opportunity. That being said, we are done with quaint. Itβs just an adjective that means βold, dated, small, and stuff doesnβt work. And expensive.β Being Europe, the beds are no sheets but a duvet cover. No A/C , the duvet weighed more than a fourth grader. Night sweats at 2:00 a.mβ¦.and the bathroom, much to be desired. A toilet that didnβt flush. Shave? Just a stand alone sink, no place to put anything. Shave, shower, brush your teeth out of a kit on the floor. Really, for that kind of money?

Front desk manager was a bit rude and condescending. He could use some training in humbleness and customer service. We paid a lot of money for a Junior Suite and our room was directly under the breakfast area. We were awakened every morning around 5:30 because of the staff walking above us. Bathroom was very nice, but it did not have a exhaust fan, causing the windows to steam up in the room after showers. Evening front desk receptionist was difficult at times to understand.

Our third time to Ireland and Ariel House is our go to for our Dublin stay. Close to the train station and hop on hop off bus line, great restaurants nearby. Ariel House Staff are super friendly and helpful !
