I liked the spartan simplicity of the room and the exceptional cleanliness. The air conditioning was silent, zero tacky decor. Checking in and out was a breeze. The neighbourhood is very quiet and peaceful, even if a good 15-20min away (on foot) from the Torre degli Asinelli.
Due to the fact that my single bed was aligned to the wall lengthwise, there was no headboard and I was a bit worried I might lose my pillow during sleep. It didn't happen, I slept just fine. Would definitely stay here again, very good value for money.

Staff: We didn't see any staff because they weren't present on-site. The building was monitored by cameras, and there was an online reception. We checked in without making direct contact.
Positive: There was a hairdryer and a coffee machine. It was clean.
There was no elevator, and we were on the top floor, so it was difficult to carry the suitcase up. If you're coming with a large suitcase, it will be challenging; however, it's not much of a problem with cabin luggage.

It's in a good location, was comfortable and clean.
Check-in was virtual, which is fine but nice to know what you're dealing with in advance. You need a pin to get in the front door, which is slow to let you in and then you ring the intercom at the desk where they will talk you through the process, get your passport details and get you to pay online.

Nice size room. Smart TV is a good addition. Self check in could be a good idea.
Very expensive for the facilities, the pillows were lumpy as had disintegrated inside, the two beds were different sizes, one was a temporary put up bed and much lower, hard to check in as the speaker outside and inside were very quiet, hairdryer was not working, no ventilation in bathroom, fridge was missing from the cupboard, the area seemed like a housing estate and had grafitti everywhere including anti tourist messages and insults. The price we paid was more than double a fair amount for a converted house room.

Modern room with a comfortable bed and an excellent shower. Air conditioning, fresh towels every day, and even a balcony! Also an excellent location, just a 15 minute walk to the main part of the city!
Paper thin walls - maybe it was just because I was near the lobby, but I could hear every check in and check out clearly, as well as all of the shouting, music, etc. of my fellow guests on Friday night. I barely slept that night, and not much more the other nights.
Terrible wifi - again, despite being right next to the lobby, I barely had a signal; one to two bars that frequently dropped to zero. Okay for email and a WhatsApp message, but impossible to stream, video call, or do anything that requires a stable connection.

The "virtual" reception desk worked well for me.
Very (very!) bad soundproofing, and many noisy people in the building and in front of it.
Not close to the city center, 30min walking distance (I didn't mind).
The host does not respond to messages. Before my arrival I wrote twice (few weeks before, and few days before my arrival) through "booking messaging", no answer. Then I sent text messages to the TWO supplied phone numbers, no answer. But towards the end of my stay, through the same "booking messaging" system where my messages were previously ignored, the host wrote to ask me to leave a high grade rating in my booking review!

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms are quite proper, the location is great, at only 2 minutes from the bus that takes you to the city center. The area is amazing, very calm and proper. The check-in was quick and easy to make. The staff are ok, they left new towels after the first day and kept our room clean. The heating system works great, which helped a lot, since it was quite cold in Bologna during our stay.
One thing that I didn't like were the doors: they can be open from the outside, which resulted in one of the staff members accidentally entering the room at one point. Also, the bed is quite uncomfortable and the pillows were completely destroyed inside, with pieces of material that had formed balls of wool which were very uncomfortable to sleep on.

An amazing location overlooking Palazzo Re Enzo on Piazza Maggiore. Apartment was well appointed with some nice old wooden decorative elements from Central/South Asia. Also very practical with a laundry room.
The description of how access worked in terms of issuance of keys/extra keys was outdated. There was a lock-box, as described, but, it turns out, it is no longer being used. Before arrival I could not get clarity on this from CiaoBologna/Vikey.

The aircon is ineffectual. I did query this but was told that it was set 25 and couldnt be changed. The bed was far to small, felt like a childs bed.

It was close to the city center and is a newish building.
It was the dirtiest room in Italy, when we arrived there was a lot of hair and dirt in the floor. After I shavered I needed to wash again my feet after I walked in the room. I dont care if something is new or old, but it needs to be CLEAN.
I need to mention that it was full of strange people, we barely could sleep a little bit because in some room people were drinking and shouting all night.

The front door wouldn't open after I had begun checking in leaving me stranded outside without a phone etc staff arrived as soon as they could and solved the problem efficiently and quickly. The "remote" staff were a wee bit frustrating. An unfortunate blip...
An extra pillow would have been appreciated...

Location is fine if you want to explore the city but rather remote if you come from autostrada and just want to get to bed asap.
Also google maps sent us to the back of the property and there is no access there so you have to go around.
Nice street though, felt safe enough.
Instructions on how the whole checkin works could be explained / written better bc it adds unneccessary stress.
Room was very nice though, with two solid sized beds and somewhat modern.
Free coffee is a nice touch and there is a refrigerator in the cellar which I guess you can use if you stay longer.
The checkin process was fine once you get hold of the remote operator.

I was waiting for a good family room as i saw from images but when i saw the room i didn't liked that. The room was on -1 floor , like basement, no windows, no fresh air, the single bed on double room wasn't very comfortable but anyway.

It was very clean, and the staff was very helpful. I liked the little balcony. Even though it is not located in the city center, we were able to reach everywhere with bicycles in the city. It was very quiet around here.

I loved Nieshantha - he was lovely and did a great job taking care of my room. I liked the large window and spacious bathroom.
My room smelled like it had been a smoking room in the past. I was very disappointed with the lack of reception staff, and the pictures did not match the actual entryway at all. I had trouble checking in and had to walk to the other hotel to get that done. It was also hard to find restaurants nearby that were open.

The room was bigger than expected and very clean. The room was cleaned and the towels were replaced everyday. The value for money was quite good for the quality of the room offered.
I guess it's not the hotel's fault, but it's hard to reach using public transport so I ended up walking there on most days. Also the check-in might seem fishy because it's on a call with a person who you can see on a TV screen but everything went smoothly despite the initial hesitation.
