We liked how new and modern the hotel was. It was a beautiful hotel, full of all the amenities expected ( with the exception of iron in room, they have a specific room to iron in?!). Overall minor issue , If you bring your own personal iron. Great location, wonderful breakfast and the beach club across the street included with the stay was perfect. I highly recommend and will stay here again in near future .
The room to have to iron ( if needed). Found that silly for such a high quality hotel. Maybe a cultural thing, although I’m Italian and don’t get it.

It was really comfortable to be able to park our car in the carpark next door and to have access to the private beach! This was simply one of the best hotels we've stayed in.

The property is located directly across from the beach and is a short walk into the city center.
Upon checking in, we were told our room had a beautiful view but overlooked the hotels discoteca on their lawn and that it could be noisy. We were ensured that if the noise was too bothersome we could switch rooms in the morning. The noise was extremely loud until about 330a. When we asked to switch rooms the next morning we were told that the celebration the night prior was a one time occurrence since it was a saturday night and that there would only be aperitivo occurring for the rest of our stay. That was not true at all. The music was extremely loud until about 130a. When we asked to switch rooms the next morning we again were told that it would not be loud that night. on the final night of our stay there was another extremely loud party celebrating a annual feast in Cefalu and the music went until 330a again. Needless to say, we did not sleep at all during our stay at the Sea Palace and were continuously gaslit by the hotel staff and denied our request to switch rooms. Upon checking out, we asked to speak to the manager to elevate our issue and were told that she would call us to discuss a possible compensation solution after 9a once she started her shift. Two days later, we are still waiting for her phone call….

Breakfast was not good enough and an odd setup. It was concerning that the cold cuts and cheese were neither covered and/or chilled so it just sat out sweating. Gross, and someone is going to get sick.
Although some parts of the hotel were modernised, some bits were still a bit dated or weird. The lighting system in rooms through a control panel from a 1970s sci-fi show and the TV screens small.

No tea and coffee making facilities was poor but the policy of not allowing drinks or food in the room is petty and at odds with other hotels. Particularly as the room service options were not the best. Also petty to charge for a clean beach towel rather than encouraging guests not get new towels every day with eg drinks vouchers but offering fresh ones in exchange. The outside bar area was bizarre - deserted with more staff than guests!

The location of this hotel was a walking distance from the center of the old town where are the little nice stores and the lovely restaurants, its also the center of the night life there, the view from our room was very impressive, specially the big famous Rock of Cefalu and just under it the little village, they light the Rock in the night. very nice personnels, room was very clean and comfy (we got the suite, a bit overpriced but it worth it), the breakfast was very good, omelet on demand, delicious cannoli and sweets, good coffee with the best view in Cefalu, we would come back there without hesitation.
The only issue that we got 2 tickets for parking and crossing a limited visitors areas, or permitted cars only, you can park only between the white lanes, not the yellow of the bleu ones, and you need to watch the restricted areas, we had to go to the city to pay the tickets, where they were lanes of tourists paying their tickets too.. Hotel personnels had to advise us about that when we checked in, but they didn't.

That said, I was a little disappointed considering it’s a 5-star hotel: the property overall felt quite old. It was raining during our stay and water was leaking through one of the windows in the hallway.

One of the reasons I booked the hotel was to use the amenities, especially the sauna. Upon arrival, we discovered the sauna was $20 euros/person with a minimum of 2 people. So basically, $40 euro per session. Other than that, the hotel was fantastic
