The best thing about this hotel was the location. I cannot stress enough how close it was to everything, the train station was two minutes away, the old port only five and the main piazza and unesco sites were a 10-15 minute walk. All the staff were very friendly and the hotel was lovely and clean. Perfect for what we needed and fantastic value.
The room was smaller than Iโd expected. But still a good size for what we needed, however more storage space would have been nice.

Great location, only a 3 minute walk to train station and not far from the main port. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and it was no trouble checking in a little bit earlier as our train arrived early, and also leaving our bags for an hour after check out. Room was clean and had all the amenities required.

Very close to the main train station Piazza Principe and very easy to find. The staff (lady in the evening shift) was super kind and very helpful with the information. Few city landmarks are in the same street, worth seeing, and old town is within 10-15min walk.
Breakfast was good. The room was sufficiently equipped (kettle, tea, etc).

Ideal location for a stopover on my way to and from Viareggio- I could see the station from my window! Lovely friendly reception staff who remembered me and my details when I stayed again on my way back. Quite a quirky layout in an old building- you go through a lobby with a piano on the way to breakfast in a pretty room with a frescoed ceiling. Would stay again on future rail trips to Italy.
During my first stay I couldn't get the air-con to work. I'm sure the staff would have been helpful if I'd asked, but it wasn't that hot and I just opened the window. On the way back in a different room it worked fine.

The hotel is in an excellent location. Just a few steps from the train station. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were very friendly, they told us where we could go and also informed us of where to find good restaurants. The breakfast at the hotel was good. They also treated us with great kindness and respect. The day we left the city was a few hours after check-out at the hotel, and they very kindly kept our bags until the time we left the city.

The location near the train station was very convenient, and we appreciated the option to store our bags.
The carpet had a strong odor, similar to dirty socks, and it seemed the hotel tried to mask it by placing air fresheners in every power socket along the hallway and inside the room. There was no coffee maker, only a kettle. The curtains looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time, there were visible dirt stains on the walls, and the bathroom floor felt sticky. Both the AC and the bathroom exhaust fan were noisy, likely due to lack of maintenance. The staff was efficient but came across as robotic, not very welcoming or happy in their work.

The AC temperature wouldn't go below 25c. I called the staff, they said it was normal.
But what happened was at 4:00 am, we jummed off the bed with the sound of water pouring over our loggages from the AC. I'm not sure it was the condensed water or something else.
Luckily, it was a sudden pour which woke us up immediately. Otherwise, all of our stuff would have been destroyed.
At least they were nice enough not to charge us for the city tax because of that incident.
In general, it's not a nice place to stay. Both the hotel and the whole city!

We stayed here as it was the most convenient from the airport. The hotel was really well located for the train station.... If you're planning to journey along that coast? Just a short walk. Also well located to explore the town. We had little time available for this but next time will stay a few extra nights to explore the town before moving on along the coast.. there is a bus available to return to the airport just outside the station. It was all easy and convenient. The rooms were comfortable and there are minimarkets and restaurants close by.. Great hotel

It was great being greeted by two helpful lobby attendees. Restaurants all around us, train station super close. Parking on the street, I easily found one when arriving just .1 k from the front door.

Location was perfect for taking an early train next day.
Carpeted floor needed hoovering. Lots of dust behind furniture, but for a night it was bearable.

Location near to train station.
Due to strong wind, room is very noisy with malfunction window and poor sound isolation. The staff is not friendly. We need to hand carry our heavy luggage to 1st floor, then found out that there is a hidden automatic lift to transfer our luggage by ourself but the service desk didn't even bother to inform us.
