No heating option! AC system only had cold air and up to 23 degrees. Also, even though we left the room, the AC activated by itself making things worse. Our trip was in mid September and it was a bit chilly.
Although our room was booked for 4 people (2 double beds) only one was prepared beforehand. We contacted the reception and cleaning services by phone (no in-person service) and at the end we sorting out the room by ourselves. Also, we couldnt find blankets the first day. People were helpful (by phone) and the issue is not critical but for this price one could expect these sort of things to be taken care of.

I can't say that there was anything we didn't like, but it should be taken into account that the apartments, or at least the one we stayed in, don't have a door between the rooms and if you travel as a couple, you don't really have privacy.

The location of this specific Profumo hotel is great, which is why we booked it.
I want to be clear that we did not end up staying at THIS location - the day before check-in, I received a message from Profumo that we could not stay at the Maison Ripetta location because of "technical difficulties", and that we would instead have to stay at the Maison Pellegrino location, which is in a different neighborhood entirely. They were going to "upgrade" us to a room with 1 double bed, when we had booked a room with 2 queen beds. They offered to add a twin bed to the upgraded room, but when I stated we wanted 2 queen beds they instead gave us 2 rooms, which was appreciated. However, we picked the Ripetta location because it was a 1 minute walk from our previous hotel (we decided to extend our stay in Rome by 1 day but could not remain at that hotel because they were booked), and the change in location became a headache. The taxi driver could not find the Pellegrino hotel and got lost, then dropped us off a few blocks away so we had to walk 10 minutes with our suitcases. This resulted in us missing our Colosseum tour that day, so we were out about 175 euros between the taxi and tour tickets. The Pellegrino itself was in a weird location and the rooms were extremely small, and one did not have a working AC unit so it was humid. The floors were not very clean, and the bed was 2 twin beds pushed together, which would have been fine if they were at the same level, which they were not.

There were no keys waiting for us when we arrived. Had to wait about a half hour to get into our room. Once we got a key they only provided one. And the key is required in the room to turn on lights. The shower head did not work well. We had to remove the valve assembly to adjust it. When we reported this they basically said, it has been working fine.

It was a great stay. Nice, clean, comfortable hotel. Great location, close pretty much to everything, and if walking is not desired there is even a taxi stand within 300 meters distance. Very helpful (via WhatsApp, no staff in the location) staff. Easy "virtual" check-in. Very good price, compared to other hotels in the area.
Can't think of anything I didn't like. Perhaps that the shower head sprayed water outside of the shower but this is really a minor thing.

There were very good little restaurant in the street below.
The room was cleaned every day, towels changed which was nice.

I reserve the booking with a lot of anticipation, with breakfast, apparently for this property the management remove the breakfast with out telling me or advising me even when we pre paid all the stay with breakfast included, so another weird thing is that there is not physical reception, so the contact is only by WhatsApp so when I did the question regarding how does the breakfast was, the first afternoon and evening nobody answer me, or gave me a solution, was till next day after the breakfast time that somebody helped me and โreturnedโ my money, because they sent me the proof of payment but I havenโt received it, on my account.
Also the AC is controlled from other side so I wanted to change the temperature during the night and it wasnโt possible because the reception was closed, my husband is now with a really bad cold

The room I reserved, 1st floor with a shower, was not provided. Instead we were given a 2nd floor room with a tub or could have chosen a Basement room with no windows. However, this was not ideal. This was an inconvenience considering my daughter recently had knee surgery and the additional stairs were a pain with luggage. Not to mention, not having a standup shower as reserved. Unfortunately our TV and the safe in the unit didnโt work. This was a one night layover for us and Rome was at 36 degrees at this time. Our son was sick and we literally just wanted to relax and watch TV. I contacted the host and they suggested that I change the remote battery and make sure the TV was plugged in. The infrared light on both remote and TV were working and the TV was inaccessible as it is encased in a wooden box. I shared this and videos on the booking app and the videos via WhatsApp. They never answered any of my messaged after that moment (afternoon on Sunday) until Saturday at 7 am. At 7 am they said a handyman would be by to fix the issues. Check out is at 10 am and we were up for breakfast and to prepare to leaveโฆ. Obviously this didnโt help us. Very poor experience. The hallway smells like urine too and the bed was very uncomfortable as you could feel the springs in the mattress. Overall a very poor customer service experience. Being completely ignored isnโt a resolution. We have stayed in this area in Rome in the past. Would definitely recommend the location but not this apartment.

The location is perfect - the flat is located within walking distance from a metro station, nice restaurants, popular landmarks and lots of shops. The flat itself was very clean, and the instructions from the staff were very clear and concise. It was very easy to check in/out and collect our keys with no hustle. Staff were also able to accommodate our needs when we asked them for spare items such as pillows.
The room is in the basement (flat: Primula) which is clearly communicated during the booking proceess, however the windows cannot be fully opened for fresh air therefore it does tend to feel a bit "stuffy". However, if you are not after a very luxury flat with nice views directly from your window, and you only need a clean flat at a very convenient location just to sleep and have a shower during your short stay, then this flat is ideal.

The location is good.
When we arrived, the second bed was not done, no sheets in the room. We contacted the owner but he said itโs too late (at 10pm) and heโs too far away. I told him that we booked specifically this room because there were 2 beds and we are not a couple, we would like to have some privacy. He didnโt care, we had to share the same bed for the first night.
In the bathroom, there was hair in the shower, itโs clear that cleaning is superficial.
We didnโt have any heating, he told us that the heating system is not set for winter. It was super cold because the room is the basement.
There is mold on all walls, the towels were constantly wet because of inexistent purifying air system and the smell in the room is extremely bad. Also, windows cannot be closed because there are high walls and they are basement windows. During night you can hear all noise and garbage cars running on the street.
All in all, I would avoid this accommodation at all costs.

So noisy! THE SOUND ISOLATION IS TERRIBLE. In the morning you can hear the garbage truck as if it was inside the bedroom as well as hearing all other guests coming in and out of the other rooms.
Be aware the there is little to zero communication with the people that rent the place, so when you need a clothing iron or WiFi information you can wait ages for their response.
The online key doesnt work! So I had to stay under the rain until they sent me a code to open the door.

Good location
The staff was completely unresponsive to our needs. There was no housekeeping done even once during our stay, no staff at the sight to assist with anything. They allotted us a basement airbnb without informing prior- this was very very noisey as it was right under street level, there was no natural sunlight or air and we had a terrible stay. The rooms were also smaller than in pictures and a single washroom with broken or no amenities. The coffee maker was not working so we had to buy our own kettle. Despite reaching out to their number we got no response
