The location of this hotel was quite convenient, a lot of shopping areas, restaurants and bars nearby (in walking distance). The staff was all polite but the bartender was especially nice.
The rooms didn't look like they do in the photos, it was clean though. The breakfast was really limited considering the cost for breakfast per person. I just ate croissants and bacon for the days I was there. Sounds travel, so every time someone showered, flushed we could hear. The first night I couldn't sleep because there was someone revving their car nearby( not the hotels fault) but I could hear it quite loud from the room, it woke me out of my sleep, along with some other sounds coming from the surrounding city.

Location was fantastic, this was the second stay we have had here and it was just as good second time around. Staff were super helpful and friendly at reception and the bar. Bed was comfortable and the room was spacious and simply designed. Bathroom was clean and had a good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. Terrace is gorgeous, we had the end room looking out towards the maritime museum, particularly beautiful at night. Supermarket just over the way, and walkable to all big attractions in the area.
We didn't have breakfast as we wanted to explore options nearby.
We didn't have much tea and coffee in the room, we would prefer milk over creamer and just some saucers would have been useful. We did get some extra tea from the reception, no problem, but it was like ours wasn't filled up. That is literally our only complaint!

Staff was very nice , location was also good , when I did booking I missed the fact that its floating hotel ( on water ) , but that's ok . If you stay for 1 night it's ok to sleep over. Our room was with terrace , which was also nice ( for smokers )
When we checked in it was soo cold in the room . Later on I found out how to put heating, but it was warm wind from conditioner, but even after putting the heater, in bathroom was still very cold , so we were not able to shower . You could hear every sound from outside as it's close to streets and next to a bridge. Toilet was also not too good , you need to flush 3-5 times to get rid of toilet paper. Bed was not really comfortable- we both was falling into middle of the bed , because from sides it was visibly more higher than middle, so we didn't get to sleep too much .

The restaurant was the highlight of the hotel. Breakfast was wonderful: many fruits, croissants, scrumble and cooked eggs, etc.. They also have free water, coffee and tea whenever you want. I had dinner two nights there because the atmosphere was perfect with excelent music, and also because outside was rainingโฆ
My room was very small. It would be inconvenient for two persons.

It's a boat! Amazing location less than 10 minutes walk from the the train station (with connections to Centraal) and the food court. The hotel itself is very cool, lovely bar and restaurant downstairs (including a free glass of cava on arrival and free coffee) and the staff were all really nice.
I would definitely recommend this place, and we will stay again!

The location was great and the area was lovely. The bar and restaurant staff were nice and helpful.
I was doubly charged for an extra room that I didn't book. Also they demanded a โฌ100 deposit upfront as apparently they have had issues in the past with drugs and smoking from other guests.
My room was freezing from the minute I entered to the minute I left. I eventually complained and was told "if I was sick then I would feel the cold"!!!!
I was not sick but that damp room would make anyone sick.
The TV didn't work in any of the five rooms my friends and I booked.
The floors and the room wasn't maintained properly, filthy floors. The two poles strategically placed at the end of the bed led to a form of gymnastics everytime I tried open curtains or hop out of bed. The shower leaked all over the floor in the toilet.
All in all, the concept of the hotel is funky but the experience DOES NOT live up to the lovely photos they have online.

Great location on the river and very close to 3 attractions in Markhtal, Cube House & Oudehaven as well as central to most other transport and locations. Room was clean and staff were all perfect to deal with and be around and of course the river quirk is very cool.
A deposit on arrival is a problem I have with any hotel, I completely understand it but it would be nice to be made aware of it beforehand by Booking.com.
Rooms are spotlessly clean but with no big lamp it's a bit awkward having to turn all spot lamps off at once. A solid place to keep clothes as the small table (although cool) isn't fit for that purpose.
Bathroom was a touch tight but I don't find this that much of an issue. The shower regularly spilt out on to bathroom floor when in use, which I understand is difficult for the hotel but it meant using up towels very fast to clear up mess and with said deposit in the back of my mind it wasn't something id prefer to have left.
Being on the river side means you'll have boats going past or docked up beside your room. One of which had a generator going most nights, it didnt affect my sleep but worth bringing earplugs in case.

What we liked most of all was the restaurant - such a beautiful and comfortable area to spend the evening! We didn't have dinner there but it was the perfect place to relax after a long day.
The staff, particularly in the restaurant, was so nice and the breakfast was okay.
The ground floor rooms facing the river are great, those facing the street are not. At low tide you face the wall, at high tide your window goes directly onto the sidewalk. I ended up having my curtains closed for the entire stay because I felt like an animal in the zoo, on display for any passers-by.
The rooms were really cold on arrival and it took more than a day of heating to get them to a comfortable temperature. As the bathroom doesn't have a radiator or AC, I had to leave the door open day and night so that the room's heating would also heat the bathroom. I didn't do that at first and had a freezing bathroom in the morning...

The hotel was below my expectation. It was definitely not value for money. The staff were v friendly and helpful.
The hotel description does not reflect the reality. The hotel is in serious need of refurbishment and the bedrooms are a poor standard. Would not stay at this hotel in the future as standard is poor

The restaurant and Bar tender plus Sheff was super good and food was one of the best we have had !!! I tried to tip them but they denied accepting any cash due to hotel policy. what a pity !

the service of the gentleman in the bar and restaurant. he was positive polite and respectful. this added class to the establishment. the location. the terraces on the river. when checking out we noticed two ladies complaining and the receptionist a younger lady handled it professionally even if they ladies were being unreasonable.
we asked for a queen bed but it was two singles resulting in a uncomfortable sleep.

Loved the food served for dinner, the restaurant on the water, the staff and the complimentary beverages. The hotel was not crowded at all. Very peaceful and felt exclusive. Great budget hotel in an outstanding location! Very short walk to everything you'd want to see! Even if you just stay at the hotel, great facilities for relaxing and hanging out (outside your room).
My partner loved the breakfast. I, however, wasn't a fan. Also, l the room was VERY small, and the bathroom was VERY tiny. Far too small for a couple. My partner is a built guy (not fat, but tall with muscle) and couldn't comfortably shower because it was so small. We felt we had too little space for our luggage as well. The only space in the room to put it was between the bathroom and the bed, so we had to literally take a large step over it every time we went to the toilet.

The location is close to everything, near the markthal and cubic houses, only the bar on the canal is worth it, beautiful, calm and cozy, it's better to get a drink but not stay at the hotel.
First they ask for 100 euro smoking warranty, better to give cash to get it back fast.
The room walls were dirty, no hair dryer included, you need to ask for it,
Noisy with bad isolation , we hear steps...
We also switched room , first room was really awfull with marks on the walls and dark.
Reception staff are not welcoming,
Checkout was at 11am and we came back at 11:40 am, we found our luggage out of the room, Luckyly they were already prepared.
Reception staff were cold and limit bothered by our remarks or requests.

Interesting concept of a floating hotel (simulates river cruise) at good location. Staff is very helpful. Only short walking to Markthal indoor market, cube houses and Blaak train station.
Room is super small with no space to open up suitcase, no wardrobe, 1 small table and 1 chair, dark with 2 small desk lamps, bed is very soft and shower cubicle has no door. Entrance steps to hotel from street level can be a challenge (particular with heavy suitcases) especially when hotel rises up according to river tides.
