The property is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. Fabulous location for us
I understand it was a busy weekend however, I made three separate attempts to contact the property in advance to request an early check-in, which unfortunately could not be accommodated. I would have been more than willing to pay an additional fee, as is often offered for late check-outs, but the reservations staff showed no interest in considering this option.
The check-in experience itself was extremely chaotic. I arrived early, as advised by the reservations team, only to find a queue out the door. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, at around 2:30pm, I was informed that my room was still not ready and that I would need to wait until 3:00pm, which I accepted.
I was told I would be contacted once the room was ready however, by 3:00pm I had received no communication. I then waited in line for another 30 minutes, only to be told again that my room was still not ready. The staff member at the counter explained she had just started her shift and was unsure of the situation. While I understand this, it does not resolve the issue from a guest perspective.
At that point, I simply needed to check into my room. Unfortunately, the staff came across as short and unhelpful, which added to an already frustrating experience.

That room was very clean and had all the comforts, and extras. I enjoyed breakfast option of either club access or 8. Enjoyed the service, coffee, food choices - i had the omelet and it was so yummy. I called the service desk a few times as it was my first time and they were very lovely and informative. Enjoyed the pool area. Loved the bed size. Only things i can say to improve is my husband saying the bacon could be crispy, more meat options? he is a steak in the morning person. Also i had the pancakes and i prefer cooked on request rather than warmed up. Loved club access, so relaxing.

Wifi didn't work while I was there which was a bit annoying as I needed to work. Staff were helpful in trying to fix it, but weren't sure why it wasn't connecting.

The pool, the spa, steam room ... beds and pillows and of course being at the Cordis for the whole experience.
There were a few little things but one thing that was not great was that they delivered a special box of chocolates I bought for my son to another room.
Which involved alot of following up.
I got a credit to cover the cost of the chocolates. But it also meant I didn't get to give the chocolates to my son and I had brought them especially.
I know it was just a mistake. But they were tagged and with the rest of my bags.
It also cost me time and means I now need to go buy more. It was a hassle I was not anticipating.

Bathroom could do with an upgrade. Was a bit rough in places and looked old in general.
I was not pleased with the food I ordered at all - the Caesar salad seemed as though it had been sitting around all day the lettuce was very soggy and not pleasant to eat, the meat was also not good, for an expensive salad I would have expected much higher quality.
The room was older. The sink plug didn't unplug and couldn't get the window shut.

The cordis exceeded our expectations with the hospitality from the staff and the facilities. An amazing stay just for a get away with my partner and we will be back.
When we checked in at the kiosk we got our key card and went to the elevator, the doors closed and we scanned our key card but then the elevator did not go anywhere and the doors wouldn’t open. We got stuck and tried ringing the bell button but nothing happened. It was like this for a good 5 minutes until someone else needed to use the elevator and it started for them. When my partner talked to the front desk about this they say the bell button was for room service? We also lost all service in the elevator so you can’t call anyone.

Staff is always the highlight when we stay at the Cordis. The hotel was extremely busy when we stayed, as there was a festival on at the same time as our stay. Despite this and a very full lobby, when we checked in at around 4pm. We were checked in very quickly and efficiently. As always the staff noted how many children we had with us, provide them with the kids bags. They also had the cotton candy in the lobby, which is always a special touch for the kids. It's small details and extra effort like this, that make the Cordis the only place we stay when visiting Auckland.

Our room at the Pinnacle Tower is probably one of most comfortable rooms we stayed in and the toilet/bath room is extremely clean.
The one thing that really surprised us the most that many hotels don’t have is how the mini-bar are filled with only complimentary items and you can only order items upon request. This avoids guest from consuming items that lead to surprise additional charges. This also benefits us to use most of the space of the fridge when needed because there are no unnecessary drinks we don’t want that uses up all the space.
Staff are friendly & professional as always and all our requests were provided.
Valet parking was very convenient and was easy to sort out. Only if we knew, it would have been easier to take Auckland Transport because buses are accessible right next to the hotel.
Location is perfect and is close to many eateries and landmarks. Definitely will come back!
It is quite a long walk to the pool/spa/fitness facilities especially from the Pinnacle Tower. It is just an elevator away for many other hotels we stayed at. The pool is just way too small for the biggest hotel in Auckland. Any time we wanted to swim, it is very crowded.
We enjoyed the Buffet Breakfast. This might be the biggest breakfast buffets we had. But the only downside to it was the lack of flavour and hot food is nothing too special, I didn’t go back for a second, but I guess the quantities and different varieties of food is just to cater the many guests staying at the hotel.

I appreciated the hospitality from staff, they were busy during Easter weekend but acted professional. The pool and spa was exceptional as always. We expected it to be busy but during adults only times, it calmed down a bit.

Stayed here many times previously and will continue to stay here in the future. Location is great, Room and facilities meet our expectations.
The pool opening at 8:30am it was school holidays after all. Kids were waiting patiently, watching 2 people swim. I feel this rule needs to be flexible during the school holidays period after all your advertising online is promoting come stay at a family friendly hotel.

Very clean, gorgeous sized room and bathroom and enough room in wardrobe for everything.
Baby’s cot was set up and very clean and comfortable for baby to sleep well. Swimming pool was very nice as well as ordering from loungers.
We were put in a joining room and walls were very thin, didn’t get much sleep ourselves as you could hear everything next door from the guests.

An excellent CBD hotel, nice rooms, great pool and spa area. A great place for a school holiday city break.
Some parts of the room could have been cleaner and the parking around the area is very expensive.

The room was nice
Really disappointed with a lot of aspects. I had been looking forward to an Easter break away. It was expensive, the room was not equipped for my booking. Parking was expensive & I had to call for an extra towel each day & toilet paper?!
