The bed was comfortable. The treats were nice.
Our first room had stains on the walls, dirty stained lampshades, and cleaning staff don't regularly dust basic things, overall was filthy. Was moved to another room that was cleaner but still dusty and I had to go get allergy meds. Shower is tiny and has a large step up with nothing to hold onto, would be difficult for elderly to manage.

Staff were lovely and the room was clean. Lobby entrance and restaurant area had a nice luxe feel.
The pool online said it was heated but it was quite cold that we went down for a swim and didn’t get in. The pool was also very dirty, we could see lumps of hair floating near the bottom of the pool. Our room waa clean and pleasant but the pillows were quite uncomfortable. Our room you could hear the loud noise of either the elevator or people’s showers running, was quite loud noise travel through the walls. The staff were lovely and very efficient when they made a mistake with my room but due to the things above I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Always lovely to stay and be welcomed back. I have stayed before and loved it.
I didn't like the room- it wasn't like the ones on the upper floors- this time I as situated down on the bottom floor and the rooms were not the same. Plus, I like sitting by the bar...sometimes catching up on work- this time they had reserved it for a small party- but didn't tell anyone- those who were seated there- including me- weren't asked to leave but felt awkward when the "guests" turned up and we were still sitting there. They had cordoned off the area - I left feeling a bit put out- climbing over the cordoned off area. The communication should have been better.

Comfortable, staff were friendly, the hotel had a free chocolate hour for guests (unfortunately we couldn't make it).
The lamp shades in our room were oddly stained, the cupboard door to the bar bridge was broken, and our room backed on to where the rubbish was collected so it was a bit noisy in the mornings - these little things meant it didn't really feel like a 5 star hotel.

Breakfast is really good - recommend signing up for breakfast plan. Staff is super helpful. Very close to Cuba street even if you have to walk up a bit of hill. They do have a lower exit for guests. Has a nice pool and coin operated laundry. The daily chocolate hour is great. The restaurant looks out over the city and you have great views of Wellington.
Door to bathroom is frosted glass - Translucent. It's also right across from the closet and fridge/coffee area. This is fine if you are sharing a room with someone you are close to.

The room was bigger than last year and there was more room within the room. We were upgraded. Last year we were squeezed into a room with a big bed, the room was too small for the big bed and this was uncomfortable. We couldn't get the coffee machine to work. There's still a need for a folder of information on what time breakfast starts, wifi password etc otherwise you're ringing reception for information. Otherwise it was okay.
Nothing really.

We really like our stay in this hotel. The complimentary cookie in the lobby, chocolate hour and the swimming pool is my daughter's favorite. Alll staff in the reception are very friendly and professional, especially John, easy to approach and great overall. We highly recommend this hotel if you're going to Welly.
I can't find any but If I need to say something, I think is the location is a bit far from the center but not much. For me its 3 out of 5 so not bad.

Friendly staff without being intrusive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing—especially appreciated the reminder to check parking at our dinner venue. The chocolate hour was a delight—simple and understated, leaving us smiling and indulged. Maen at check-in was warm and efficient, quickly offering to take our bags away so we could head straight to the chocolate hour—a small gesture that made us feel instantly welcomed and cared for.
The plush bed was amazing—only wish there had been a working movie channel to enjoy while relaxing in it.
