The room was clean, comfortable and spacious with a small sitting area. Location was excellent with lots of restaurants (in hotel) and nearby. There was a rooftop bar.
Our room was on second floor and our windows had plastic covering them blocking all views. Even though the building next door was close in proximity we would have enjoyed seeing the sky and openness.

Staff were amazing. We phoned twice as our ferry was delayed by 3 hours and were informed very clearly about what we needed to do. We arrived at 11pm and Meena was beyond helpful. Very cheery even though it was the end of her shift, even offered us a late checkout which was very welcoming.

Giving this 10 based on the fact it’s a 3 star property. Doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. Rooms are compact but very comfortable staff were welcoming and very attentive. For an overnight or 2 an ideal place to stay for the price. It’s 3 star but an exceptional 3 star.

Comfortable beds. Good value for the money. Room was a good size. We had a room towards the back and not too high up, so it was pretty quiet. We didn't get the noise that rooms nearer the rooftop bar or over the downstairs bar in the front that other people have mentioned in reviews.
Everything was adequate. Housekeeping service could be a bit hit or miss. For example, I splashed a few drops of coffee on the bedsheet the first morning and the sheets were never changed. One day my friend left her dressing gown on her bed and when we came back to the room my bed had been made but hers had not. Carpet had crumbs on it that were never vacuumed. These were very small things though and did not impact our comfort.

Loved the bar restaurant and the rooftop bar. Bed was comfy, the shower was great. I got to stay til noon with a late checkout. The room had everything I needed. Great cleaning staff.
Noise carries a bit and doors slamming at night from other guests shook the whole building. Wellington is noisy at night, but this isn’t the fault of the hotel!

The arborist roof top bar was great, nice cocktails, pizza etc. We stayed one night on Saturday but our flight got cancelled due to poor weather conditions, so we stayed there another night. Lovely staff let us know the next day that we had left our sleeping masks in the room and they were going to courier them to us for a small fee. Great service, thank you

I had to book the deluxe queen room as the lower category rooms were fully booked because of ultra. To be honest to call this room "deluxe" makes me wonder what the normal ones look like? When we arrived the toilet didn't flush, quick fix but still annoying. The room was super small and pretty run down. The fan in the shower didn't turn on, so the moisture in the room was horrible. It was just not worth the money at all. When the neighbors went into their room the door banged where the whole wall would move.
